During World War 2 under the command of Adolf Hitler, The Nazi Party began horrific experiments on prisoners in concentration camps. Since 1945, the word has taken on a new horrible meaning: the mass murder of some 6 million European jews, and members of some other persecuted groups. The man in charge was Adolf Hitler. He would send anyone unuseful to a concentration camp called Auschwitz. Such as homosexuals and gypsies. Nazi leader Adolf Hitler was one of the most powerful and infamous dictators of the 20th century. After the defeat of World War 1 he gained power and planned to take over germany. In Poland, huge death camps such as Auschwitz began operating with ruthless efficiency. The murder of jews in occupied lands stopped in the last days of wars. Under the Nazi Party all other political parties were banned. In 1933, the Nazi’s opened their first camp in Dachau,Germany for jews. The Nazi’s sent homosexuals, Gypsies and mental handicap to the camps. One of their most famous camps were Auschwitz. Auschwitz opened in 1940 and was the largest of the Nazi concentration and death camps. It evolved into a network of camps where jewish people and other perceived enemies were exterminated in gas chambers. Others were subjected to barbaric medical experiments led by Josef Mengelz. Many Jews did not know about the gas chambers after two the three years. After the Germans knew the army was coming they sent jews to other camps. Finally the Holocaust has begun with more camps and more Nazi’s. Since 1945 the word has taken on a new horrible meaning: the mass murder of some six million Jews. To the antisemitic Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, Jews were an inferior race, alien threat to German racial purity and community. After years Hitler has his final solution now known as the
Upon the invasion of Poland, Hitler had expanded his army and conquered Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and many other countries in 1940 (“The Holocaust- World War II”). When the countries were invaded, the Germans gathered up Jewish and Non-Jewish civilians and marked the Jews with yellow stars (“The Holocaust- World War II”). After they were marked, the Jews, and the other civilians, were transported to ghettos in death camps (“The Holocaust- World War II”). Upon arrival to the camps, sick, old, and young people were killed first (“The Holocaust- World War II”). In 1942, mass gassings began in one death camp and then began in the other five camps that were built later (“The Holocaust- World War II”).
The diabolical experiments executed during the holocaust were some of the most inhumane occurrences in history; nevertheless, these atrocities were conducted without consent of the patient they were performed on. The nefarious experiments of the holocaust often resulted in the demise of the unlucky host of the experiments, and if the patent was lucky enough to survive the longevity of their luck would come to an end, as all who survived these experiments were murdered shortly afterward to keep secret of the hideous crimes.
The Holocaust was a terrible time in the early 1900s. During this time, six million Jews were killed, under the ruling of Adolf Hitler. The way Hitler and the Nazis killed the Jews was very brutal and gruesome. A way in which you can’t even imagine without your own personal experience… camps. No, not church or summer camps. These camps contained brutality and misery. They are well known as concentration and execution camps.
During the holocaust prisoners of concentration camps were faced with evil, torture and death every day. Some of the prisoners in these camps were selected for Nazi medical experiments. Nazi doctors performed several different human experiments on prisoners throughout the Holocaust. A specifically horrific experiment was the twin experiments. This experiment was performed by Dr. Joseph Mengele and several of his assistants in Auschwitz. He is known for performing some of the most inhumane experiments during the holocaust.
During World War 2, the Nazis invaded and took control of Poland in 1939, which was the start of the Holocaust. The Holocaust was a six year long time period in which the Nazis had enslaved the Jews in Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, and Lithuania, there were a few other countries as well. The Nazis did this by putting them in Ghettos, and eventually sending them off to work and even to death in the concentration camps, and death camps. The Nazis had created Ghettos to contain the Jewish population, they created them by fencing off sections of major cities and containing the Jewish population there.
Before the Holocaust, Jews were happy and together, but it only took one man to end it all. The Holocaust was the Genocide of European Jews and other minorities during World War II. Between 1941 and 1945, Nazi Germany and its collaborators systematically murdered some six million Jews across German-occupied Europe, which was around two-thirds of Europe’s Jewish population. They used tactics like deadly living conditions, brutal mistreatment, mass shootings and gassings, and specially designed killing centers. Though Hitler was the main reason for the Holocaust, there were other groups that were responsible.
The horrific events of the Holocaust are remembered with tragedy and shame by many. However, beyond the concentration camps and gas chambers, many prisoners suffered an even darker fate. During the Holocaust, many cruel and inhumane experiments were conducted on the prisoners taken by Nazi Germany. These experiments included testing dangerous drugs and sterilization methods on prisoners, and exposing them to gasses and poisons to develop antidotes. Other experiments included freezing them to the brink of death just to reheat them again, as well as other bizarre and torturous experiments performed on twins.
In 1933 the first concentration camp was established after Hitler became the Chancellor of Germany. Concentration Camps at first were camps to detain the Nazi political enemies over time. As time went on different types of people such as the Jewish, Gypsies, poles and criminals was placed in these camps as well. At first Auschwitz-Birkenau it was a labor camp that was located near the polish city, Oswiecim. This camp was the largest of all Nazi camps in Europe. At any one time this camp could hold up to 150,000 inmates at a time. (Jewish Virtual Library) During the years of 1941-1945 for the first time in history of mankind some of the concentration camps were established into extermination
Hitler and the Nazis had total control over the Jews during WWII. The locations of the concentration camps during the time frame of 1933-1939 consisted of the following: Dachau, Sachsenhausen, Buchenwald, Flossenbürg, Mauthausen, and Ravensbruck. It all began once the Nazis invaded Poland. Once the invasion concluded, they founded six concentration camps. Soon after, they expanded their camp system.
The Holocaust was a very tragic event in all of history. Some Germans tried to put the chaos to a halt. Most Germans didn’t care at all; they thought Hitler knew what he was doing and that he was a good leader. Most Germans were clueless of what was happening in the concentration camps; they didn't know the pain and suffering Jews went through. They chose to not care. They could’ve saved lives’ but they chose to believe that Jews are bad. But some Germans chose to fight for what is right and tried to help Jews survive the Holocaust. Some of these people saved thousands’ of lives.
“After Germany invaded Germany, Nazis opened forced labor camps where many were worked to death, were starved, and were exposed” (“Nazi Camps”) When the final solution began, death camps opened in Poland because of their high Jewish population. These camps were built to kill a lot of people fast (“Nazi Camps”).Nazis killed fourteen million Jewish people in 1941. One witness, a truck driver for the Nazis, says that he saw people being forced to strip naked, to go into holes full of corpses, and to be shot. The process was then repeated (1941 Mass Murder).
Between 1938 and 1939 the Nazis expanded the concentration camps. The amount of people that were said to be political enemies of the Nazis increased, in return they had to create more camps. During the holocaust more than 40,000 of these camps were established. Among the numerous camps some of the most infamous are Auschwitz-Birkenau, Poland, this was because of its size and the large amount of lives lost within its walls.
Concentration camps were places designed to torture individuals especially targeting those of Jewish decent. Naming just a couple camps, Auschwitz-Birkenau, Belzec, Buchenwald were some of the major known camps. The holocaust occurred during World War II from January 30, 1933 to May 8, 1945 causing the deaths of about 6 million Jews. Concentration Camps were a big part of the holocaust .These Camps changed the life of many and for the future to come. The reality of these camps and the intense cruelty towards these people is far beyond unbelievable.
The Holocaust was the murder and persecution of approximately 6 million Jews and many others by the Nazi regime and its collaborators. The Nazis came to power in Germany in January of 1933. The Nazis thought that the “inferior” Jews were a threat to the “racially superior” German racial community. The death camps were operated from 1941 to 1945, and many people lost their lives or were forced to work in concentration camps during these years. The story leading up to the Holocaust, how the terrible event affected people’s lives, and how it came to and end are all topics that make this historic event worth learning about.
Adolf Hitler was one of the 20th century's most powerful dictators. He was responsible for World War II and the death of millions. Hitler saw a nation in despair and used this as an opportunity to gain political power. He saw a nation of unemployed and hungry citizens and promised them economic prosperity in return for absolute power. Someone once said "The Nazis rose to power on the empty stomachs of the German people".
