Comments: I have gotten excellent feedback from customers while at the Department of Social Services, specifically:
1/23/17: “Hope Peddle received a compliment call. The AP stated that he is a first time father and Ms. Peddle made his experience with child support very comfortable. HE stated that she helped him get through the situation and was very easy to talk to. He stated that Ms. Peddle was very polite and as a college student, this was a very scary moment. He just had to take the time to share his experience with Ms. Peddle...:”

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
X Exceeds expectations ☐ Meets expectations ☐ Does not meet expectations Comments: From day one of my employment in Child Support I have made an effort to go above and beyond in my job duties and responsibilities. During my free time while in training, I assisted my supervisor in putting together baskets that were to be taken to the Child Support Conference from Forsyth County. At one point in training, court orders had been distributed to various trainees that were needed by the establishment team. Being the only trainee that was also a member of establishment, I went to each trainee, gathered the establishment orders and distributed them to the appropriate worker so that the Agents were able to move the cases accordingly. At my supervisor 's request, I redesigned the front of the “Stop Sign” packets used for group interviews. I made the suggestion that the cover sheet that listed the documents that are placed in the folder for group be laminated so that customers would be less likely to write on them, which was implemented by the program manager. When these laminated lists came back, I stapled them to each folder, in Spanish and English. The Program also prepared fact booklets about the Child Support program but failed to have them printed in English. I pointed this out to the Program Manager and the
The senior director of Ottawa Valley Food Products, R.J. Jennings, is having issues with his replacement administrative assistant. His former assistant was very outgoing and willing to work long hours in order to please her boss and to get the work done in a timely manner. When she took an early retirement, the company hired a replacement assistant for Mr. Jennings. Over her time with the company the new assistant, Mary Gregory, was at times incapable of the workload she had been given, which her predecessor had no trouble with. Not only was Mary incompetent at times, she also seemed to have no sense of proper business etiquette.
Monday was a slow day at the office, and I was not given a task by my supervisor to complete. I took the initiative to email everyone in my intake department. My email asked if anyone needed assistance with their cases to contact me. An intake case worker saw my email and told an ongoing caseworker who need assistance. The ongoing caseworker asked if I could assist her with transporting a child from the Perseus shelter to the McKean County Court House. The ongoing caseworker said she did not feel comfortable with transporting her teenage girl client in her car alone. The ongoing caseworker wanted another caseworker to monitor the girl’s behavior. I accompanied the ongoing casework with transporting the youth to court. The
How do you receive your feedback? Feedback is received from family members, visitors or from patients who have recently stayed at our facility and have been
We have received very positive feedback from parents/carers and children in respect of the work we are doing. Thus we can evaluate our work and make the necessary changes and improvements to provide the best service we can to the community.
For my interview, I interviewed my family friend Sandi Mahoney that has her masters in social work. She attended Umass Amherst for her bachelor 's degree and then she attended Framingham State for her masters. Currently, Mahoney works as a therapist at her own private practice. My first impression of the agency was it was a small building. I did not feel overwhelmed going into the building because how small it was and I knew exactly where to go. There was a secretary that was in the waiting room and she was very friendly to me. The waiting room was also very welcoming. There were pictures of happy families all over the waiting room. There was also a play area for children. If I was a client here, I would feel very comfortable talking and telling Sandi Mahoney what was on my mind.
I: This facilitator and PP, met the client and mother in order to open the case and begin the process of identifying client and family needs. FF went over the POC with the family. FF and PP asked client and family for good news. The client shared he didn’t have a good day at school. Client
It is also my recommendation that this incident be reviewed by administration and this report be copied and sent to Judge Mack to review before
The complexity of the case meant I had to draw on a large range of social work skills to facilitate my engagement with the service user and carers and to complete my recommendations for panel. My Skills strongly developed throughout the process of assessing the service user and carers and they were acknowledged by my practice assessor.
I, Cheryl Boles was hired in June of 2007 under HM Yolanda Barfield. For the eight years that I have been working for this company I know my job description and what is expected of me. My work ethics speaks for itself. I haven’t had a complaint about my work performance in the eight years that I have been working here. I take initiative to do more than what is expected of me. I am strictly by the book when it comes to my job duties and the clients. I work every day that is scheduled for me to come in and I also come in to cover other shifts when asked. On the night of questioning, May 25, 2016, I Cheryl Boles arrived to work at promptly 9:30 p.m. I did my walk through as soon as I arrived. I proceeded with folding the laundry and cleaning the laundry room (swept & mopped). Meds got counted all floors swept and mopped, furniture got dusted, kitchen was cleaned, lunches and dinner was prepared for the clients at 4:00 a.m. As normal, bed checks were done every two hours (9:30pm, 11:30pm PM med was passed at 11:30pm as well, 1:30am and 3:30am) and again at
Have you ever been told that you couldn’t have a kid? Well, Kathe Hoch of Sinking Spring, PA did, she got told when she was younger and was really disappointed. From that point on, she never thought she would have a kid in her life. She also realized she had a lot more responsibility after having a kid than before she didn’t have a kid. Kathe did not think life after a kid would be different but now she says it is a lot better and different with a child. Kathe Hoch was a good student at the Governor Mifflin School District. She didn’t really like math but she loved English. Kathe looked up to be a veterinarian or a teacher growing up but never became one. A baby her was like chocolate to a little kid. 14 Years ago in 2003, Kathe gave birth
Located south of downtown Minneapolis, the Phillips neighborhood is among the poorest and most racially diverse of the city’s eighty-six neighborhoods and communities (Burrop, 2006). Home to over 20,000 residents including the largest concentration of Native Americans, Latinos, and East African immigrants in the area, the Phillips community also suffers from a long-standing reputation as a hotbed of homicides, drug use and trafficking, and sex work. Realizing the overwhelming poverty and challenges the area faced, Hope Community was created as a call to the numerous threats to the neighborhood’s residents and as an alternative to the widespread gentrification that had befallen similar communities.

I am excited about this assignment because I hate my job. I currently work as a CSR at Family Dollar. I started there about a week after school ended and I started hating it a week or so later. I kept the job because I get paid weekly and my hours are good. I also kept this job because its hard finding jobs when I return home for the summer. The work setting causes me stress. A poor relationship with my boss is the number one issue in this setting. The store has been through three assistant managers and four employees since I’ve began working there. The store manager is the main reason the company can’t hold on to workers. She is rude, lazy, and she over works you. The workload is overbearing and the time pressure makes it much harder. For instance, every task she gives is timed and she constantly nags about how long its taking you regardless of how hard the task may be. Putting out stock is timed, but the amount of time given to you is hard to make. I don’t mind working hard at a fast pace, but some of the tasks she requires is extreme. I worked at a previous family dollar and my task was four totes before my shift ended. She requires five totes an hour and says that’s company’s policy. She doesn’t help on register even if the line is long. She doesn’t help recover or do any stock, she doesn’t do anything, but dictate how you do your job. She doesn’t communicate well with others; most people see her as rude. As you can see the store manager is the problem with the stress at
One day, Jane and one of her new subordinates got into a small argument over a letter that was typed by the subordinate. The letter was to explain a situation between a teacher and a student at the school in which she worked. The employee asked Jane if it was okay for her to go ahead and draft up the letter because Jane had been in meetings most of the morning. Jane said with conviction, that it was okay for the employee to do so, but not to send it out before she looks over it. The employee typed up the letter and left it on Jane’s desk for her to read after she returned from lunch. When Jane returned and read the letter, she was not happy with any of it. She took out a red pen, and started marking up the letter from top to bottom. After making all of the corrections she felt as though the letter needed, she called the employee back into her office to show her what she needed her to do. The employee looked to be taken back a little by Jane, however, she did not respond in a manner that was disrespectful. She took the paper, and proceeded to her desk. As Jane and I were in discussion, we heard the subordinate on the phone. Jane excused herself from our discussion to go and see if the letter was finished. The
During the nine months that I was pregnant, I prepared myself for the arrival of Freddrick. The one thing I did know is that I wouldn’t have any type of financial help with Freddrick because his father had no idea, or clue how to take care of his self, nor less a son that was
