Hoover first job was at the department of justice in 1927 at the age of 22 by 1924 he became the head of the FBI’s forerunners. When he died at 77 he had spent 48 years 62% of his life being an FBI agent, but now FBI directors can only be it for 10 years. This paper will explain to you the steps you’ll need to take to become an FBI agent. First thing you need to have is a bachelor's degree. The type of degree you need to have depended on the entry program you are interested in. The entry programs are computer science and information which is dealing with computers and such things of that nature, accounting is basically keeping up finance accounts, language is basically different languages being able to translate different languages of such, law is you knowing the laws and your rights and such, diversified investing in stuff. You need to complete an internship this will help you expand your knowledge outside of the classroom. You doing an internship gives you more exposure to the career you plan on pursuing. The FBI is looking at people who have experience in the military, science, foreign language, engineering, law, accounting, or anything related to those such things. Some more things are passing a very extensive background check, polygraph, and a drug test. You can not have been convicted of any kind of felony, or even own anything on student loans. You have to go to the doctor to take a physical exam then you send it to the agency. There are specific hearing and vision requirements you need to pass as well.
