Schools should not give any homework to kids in elementary school. First, homework makes kids not get enough sleep and energy that they need for the next day. Especially because they probably have more school work the next day for them to do. Next, kids don’t get enough family time after school or even on weekends which is not good because kids need family time once in awhile because it normally keeps kids going when they can have fun with their families. Also, homework can cause mental issues which can be bad for their health. Like depression or even just give kids bad thoughts of doing bad things. Additionally, a lot of other people also agree with me about the no homework policy because of these reasons.
One reason we shouldn’t have homework is because kids don’t get enough sleep for the next day. “We really want the kids to go home at 4 o’clock, tired. We want their brain to be tired,” Kelly Elementary School Principal Jackie Glasheen Said in an interview with a local TV station.” Said time.com. First, Kids are already tired from school when they get home. But, with homework, they get tired faster and then don’t even get enough sleep for the next day. Like the principal said they think that making kids tired is learning, but it doesn’t really mean we’re learning more, it is just wearing us out and making us not want to work any longer.“Brandy Young told parents, she would not formally assign any homework this year, asking students instead to eat dinner with their
The first reason that homework is not helpful is that it limits students’ free time. Students look forward to school ending and being able to relax and enjoy themselves. As the seven hours counts down, they have the afternoon and evening to wait for. However, if they have homework that night, all of their plans are ruined. For all of the work that students do each day, they deserve time to relax. No matter what work students get, it’s really bad. It forces them to work longer, and possibly through the night, which leads me to my next point.
#5. Other things equal, what effects would each of the following have on aggregate demand or aggregate supply? In each case use a diagram to show the expected effects on the equilibrium price level and the level of real output.
After spending most of their time in school, students are expected to complete even more work, seems almost ridiculous. Homework is taking time away from students other activities. In the book, “The Case Against Homework,” by Sara Bennett and Nancy Kalish, they state how homework, “robs children of their sleep, play and exercise time need for proper physical, emotional, and neurological development.” Homework is no different than a towel placed in water. It soaks up the time from other activities A study done by the Brown Center found an
In the beginning of the New World, the Natives and Europeans benefited from each other. While the natives used the European advanced technology to surpass other tribes, the Europeans were learning how to cultivate the land. The Natives introduced tobacco to the Europeans which later went on to be one of their main exports. Eventually the binds between both would break and the Europeans would drive the natives off their land.
In my opinion i think kids should have less homework. One of my reasons is it will take the stress of your shoulders. I also think this because say you have to study for a test on monday and because all the homework you get a bad grade. In addishion, this is why i think kids should have less homework.
All schools in the United States should make homework optional. In today's education system every student is required to go to school from ages starting from 5 up until he/she is 17 or 18. We teach all of our students that there is no way around hard work and if you want to make a living you must do what your told, and that is going to school, getting good grades, and potentially going to college and finding a job. This is unquestionable, whether a student agrees with it or not this will never change, but this is not the disputed point.
Students should not have homework. First here are my reasons why some kids don't do it . According to resch 10 % out of 20% students don't do homework. Scond students should have time for some fun stuff. 20 % out of 6 % students play games 8 hours a day in school and students have game, clubs, stuff and go until 8/9 hours a night and don't get a nuff sleep. Third homework sometimes it reck the sports. And Kids don't study and kids don't use class time they talk instead of doing homework. Next kids don't fish there homework don't want to do it. 30% out 40 % do it in team team study is only 42 minutes. After school 15 minutes go to relaxing that why we should have no homework.
Every so often, a breakthrough scientific discovery is uncovered that completely changes the way we view the world. Typically, at the slightest hint of revolutionary data, the media immediately broadcasts the forthcoming of a brand new wave of science that keeps everyone on the edge of their seat. There is one story, however, that did indeed change the world of science but took decades to surface. This intricate story is described in the award-winning book, “The Immortal of Henrietta Lacks”.
Studies show that homework can cause sleep loss and other health problems. In Ontario, schools teachers should not be allowed to assign homework to students because kids are busy doing sports or other events. Also, parents want to see their kids after school. Another reason is kids are tired and might stay up late trying to finish.
Have you ever wanted to just shred up your homework or throw it out the window and have no consequences? Kids are assigned daily homework from the time they start kindergarten at the ripe young age of five. Is it really necessary? Does it even help better learning or even higher test scores? The amount of homework we do wastes time, money, paper, and trees because it’s practically the exact same thing we did in class that day. Homework causes kid’s and teen’s frustration, tiredness, little time for other activities and possibly even a loss of interest in their education. It also keeps everyone up; it has kids and teens staying up until they finish it, the parents trying to help them and the teachers grading it. So, I think that homework is
Students should not have homework because teachers have seven hours in the day to teach in the day that should be plenty of time to teach us in the day for whatever we need to learn and homework gets in the way of people’s sports. Students also have to stay up late at night to finish their homework and that might cause kids to have sleeping problems and then they wont work as hard in class because they are
Everyday kids are sent home with lots of work, all night they stay up doing their homework to the point where kids are getting too tired to focus on school! We should get rid of homework in schools! There are three big reasons why. Children are overtired, parents are exasperated and usually end up finishing kids homework for them, and finally, the kids are having a hard time coping with time management skills. We need to get rid of this outdated homework policy!
Homework should be banned from all schools across America. Homework stresses kids out and leaves them frustrated. It decreases the amount of time being spent with family. It lessens their time of being active. Homework is supposed to help kids, but most of the time it is hurting them. Less than 1% of students say that homework is not a stressor which leaves more than 99% of students being stressed out about their homework.
However, I still believe that the school should stop homework from being assigned and this is why. In source 3 "Down with Homework", it reads that studies show how homework isn't the cause of a higher grade score or academics of a student. This is because there is no support that homework helps with students of a small age.
