Holland’s Six Personality and Occupational Types
After reading and learning about Holland’s Six Personality and Occupational Types I have discovered that the one that is most similar to what I am would be a mixture of artistic, social, and enterprising. I would not be able to pinpoint myself to just one type because I found too many similarities between the descriptions and myself to settle to just one. The reason I would consider myself to be artistic is because I have always been an extremely crafty person, I was a competitive dancer for 17 years, as well as enjoy writing for fun. I would also consider myself social because I spend most of my time trying to help people. I try to share my knowledge of what I know to others, as well as try to be as helpful, and an advocate for certain ideas to others. Lastly, I would consider myself to be of the Enterprising type of personality trait because I am a Public Relations and Marketing major, meaning the basis of my job is going to be to try to persuade people and convince them of either an idea with PR, or an actual product with marketing. I like to think that I have a lot of positive energy, that im a go-getter and that I am extremely sociable.

Something that I have always been passionate about trying to be an advocate for is mental health. I think that ideally, if I could have a ‘Dream Job’ it would be to be on a board of advisees, or as a spokesperson for a mental health initiative similar to the Canadian version, “Bell Let’s Talk”. Obviously that is a very specific job, if I couldn’t do something with a mental health initiative, I would like to do something with healthcare in
The world has a lot of coffee drinkers and many coffee shops to accommodate these people’s needs. There are so many coffee shops that sometimes it’s hard to choose where to go. I have personally experienced many different coffee shops and they are all the same, calm music, sit down places, with the same variety of coffee. I have found a shop that is different, it’s now my favorite place to go for coffee. It just so happens to be Dutch Bros Coffee.
I would describe my personality as diligent, fun loving, and adaptive. I enjoy spending time with my friends and my sorority, yet I have taken on a position within that sorority that requires me to be on top of nearly all details taking place. I enjoy working hard to make sure everyone else has a smooth-running sorority experience. I like to go with the flow and enjoy like as it comes!
CW Holland made initial contact with Kierstin at Chesnee Elementary. She stated that she was fine. She appears as though she may have a cold. She lives with her mother, grandmother, uncle and sister. She stated that she shares room with her sister. She stated that her mom is in a wheel chair and sometimes it scares her. She commented that she knows that her mom takes medicine. She denied knowing if anyone else is taking medication. She stated that she is not scared of her grandmother. She denied that her grandmother yells at her unless she is in trouble. She denied that she receives physical punishment. She stated that when she is at home she lives to play outside. She commented that her mother, grandmother or her uncle. She stated that she
In 1770, New Holland, now known as New South Wales, was discovered by Captain Cook. He sailed all of the coast before reporting back to the British government about how suitable this land would be for settlement. As the land was not cultivated by the aboriginals living on it, the land was identified by the government to be uncivilised.
Using the GCIS skills assessment, I placed my top 5 skills as dependability, integrity, attention to detail, analyzing, and decision making. My top three personality types are Enterprising, Conventional, and Social and Investigative both have the same score. Enterprising I had the highest score of 39, enterprising is being competitive and liking to be in control and lead others. Also being responsible for getting your own work done and supervising others. I feel like enterprising is a great type for me to have, because to get the job I want and to climb in my field it will help to be competitive, also being able to lead others is great so when I have reached the pinnacle of the ladder I will be able to lead my fellow coworkers. Conventional was my second highest type at 33, conventional means I like to keep things in order, I do things careful and the right way, and use clear instructions and rules to do so. Conventional will also help me in my field
As language develops over the years languages some suffer the times and become a thing of the past. There are approximately six thousand spoken languages that are facing extinction (Kravitz). I question the importance of preserving ancient languages especially because I grew up in a family who speak Pennsylvania Dutch. Pennsylvania Dutch, a dialect of German, is known as the wandering Dutchman language and is spoken exclusively in northeastern Pennsylvania by mostly Amish and Lutheran Reformists. As my Great Grandmother and Grandparents are some of the last to speak exclusively Pennsylvania Dutch I am lucky enough to be able to hold a conversation in the dying language. My question is should these languages including ‘folk’ languages be preserved
I don't really have a dream. I don't care about helping people or making the world a better place. I think the world is just fine as it is and my interests reflect that. I am somewhat realistic investigative and a little conventional. I am absolutely not artistic or enterprising and I inam absolutely not social. It makes sense to me because I hate being around most people, it's the worst. I don't really like art because it doesn't make sense to me. It is interesting that I scored similar numbers in conventional and enterprising. That means that I am equal parts leader and follower. Finally I am mostly investigative and realistic. I guess that means that I prefer to solve real world problems. Overall I would say that O*NET did a reasonably good job in telling me my personality.
The first subset of my personality is Extraversion, as opposed to Introversion. As an extrovert, I would describe myself as social, external and gregarious. This characteristic helps me communicate and reach out to others. However, there are cons that go along
The economic history of the Dutch had always been successful and one of the main reasons was due to trade. The Spice trade refers to the trade between historical civilizations in Asia, Northeast Africa and Europe. These spices consisted of cinnamon, cassia, cardamom, ginger, pepper, and turmeric which were used for commerce. Another trade that triggered the start for rapidly expanding markers as well as the development of a variety of industries in the western and southern Europe was known as the Baltic grain trade. During the sixteenth century the urban populations had increased in the Low Countries which thus fueled the market for imported grain. Grain and other Baltic products such as tar, hemp, flax, and wood were not only needed in the
Nothing breaks up your daily routine better than going on a nice vacation. To those considering going on a vacation the best place to visit would be the netherlands. Whether you want to tour or just go on a casual vacation the netherlands has many different options. It is known for being home to one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. One can also experience the culture and see what the average day consists of. And finally a visitor could take in the amazing architecture of the country.
The Netherlands is home to more than 16 million people and is home to what is perhaps one of the most diverse and complex cultures on the continent of Europe. The Netherlands is bounded by the North Sea to the north and west, Germany to the east, and Belgium to the south (Michael J. Wintle, n.d.). One of the more densely populated countries in the world, the Netherlands has a wide array of ethnic and ideological heritage. Culture is the characteristics and knowledge of a particular group of people, defined by everything from language, religion, cuisine, social habits, and arts (Kim Ann Zimmermann, 2015). Over the years, the Netherlands has been molded by many categories such as heritage, geography, and military conflict,
My personality code, given by 16 personalities, is ESTP-A. My suggested occupation is an entrepreneur, given by the same address as above. The group given to my personality is an explorer, also by 16 personalities. 16 Personalities is a website that can determine the type of personality you have. Also, my learning styles are intrapersonal and kinaesthetic, given by an tiny.cc/dorn-mi site.
To begin, I took the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment. This assessment has been a reliable source for documenting personality and focuses on four dimensions of personality: extraversion or introversion, sensing or intuition, thinking or feeling, and judging or perceiving (Ledlow & Coppola, 2014). Based on my results, I would be categorized as ESFJ (extraversion, sensing, feeling, judging) personality type. ESFJs focus on the outside world and assess their experiences subjectively. They largely base their judgments on their belief system and on the effects of actions on people. ESFJs are literal and concrete, trusting the specific, factual information gathered through their physiological senses. They are often skilled at bringing out the best in people, and they want to understand other points of view. They are serious about their responsibilities, seeing what needs to be done and then doing it. Generally proficient at detailed tasks, they enjoy doing little things that make life easier for others. ESFJs seek structured, controlled environments, and tend to be good at creating a sense of order. They value the rule of law and expect
I also see my self as very active and fit, plus the active side of me has always been part of my lifestyle. The next trait that fits me too is sociable. This means, inclined to or conducive to companionship with others. This fits me because with the right people I’m very sociable, talking and joking with people I mainly know. But with like all people with the wrong company you don’t feel like associating with them mainly because of dislike or hatred. Outgoing is the next trait, this means that you are very sociable and very confident, again I’m totally this, with the right people, I have a very out going life which I use this trait every day at home and at college. Talkative is another trait which matches my personality, this again means, full of trivial conversation, this is me because I can talk even if there is no real subject on the conversation, this is due to friends and family too, because there is never a quiet moment. Another trait is responsive, this again means sensitive to influence or stimulus, this also can mean you can well adapt to what happening around you, this is me because if the mood is down I can sense that and switch down a level, or if I need to be in a such mood like sympathetic I can again switch to that too. This trait easy going means that you are
