“The United States is depending on you” is a simple quote that is both spine-chilling and liberating, for fear that one ordinary citizen, regardless of education level or intelligence, has the capability to designate who will lead our country into shambles or a euphoria. At the same time, I would like to challenge all of you to examine the certain traits and personalities that compose the molds for leadership, or in other words, what is a leader? In my opinion, leaders are tough-minded, emotionally stable (meaning they are able to tolerate frustration and stress), and compulsive. When I think of words like “leader” or “president”, I correlate Hillary Clinton as synonymous, and for this reason she carries, if not more, of all the traits I would envision a commander in chief to be, despite trivial factors such as age, sex, or race. Uniquely In the past, the American citizens have always elected a Caucasian male to govern the new world of land of opportunity and liberty, with belief that only males of European descent could maintain a society for which they live in. However, back in November 2008, history was made! The first ever African-American male has not only run for president, but also had won! That incredible moment, …show more content…
Hillary Clinton has, time after time, served as a pioneer for those who are willing and courageous enough to follow. Hillary Clinton has a phenomenal plan and I believe this plan can lead the American people out of the darkness. The time is N.O.W and I believe with the strong leadership of Hillary Clinton and your vote, that we can make the year 2016, “The Year of the Woman”! Additionally, not only is she qualified, but in her own words she states that “if a country doesn’t recognize minority rights and human rights, including woman’s rights, you will not have the kind of stability and prosperity that is possible”, or in other words the fight is not over, and you have the right to be
Clinton Rossiter starts off talking about how no american can think about the presidency without feeling somewhat serious and humility. He thinks you should be serious about how historic and unique it is. But humility in the thought that he got a say in who was in power of our country. He admires the presidents for their strong and powerful leadership qualities.
In addition, Hilary clinton thinks that women right is human rights. For many decades, one woman has impacted American politics in multiple ways. From being a senator, a first lady, and even secretary of state, Hilary Clinton has fought hard for her beliefs. Like child care, gun control, and bettering the economy, she has always taken pride on her platforms and making American citizens’ lives better, and not only for the wealthy. Unlike her opponent, Donald Trump, Clinton has a political history to look back on. There are multitudes of Trump and his history like him filing for bankruptcy on more than one occasion.
Hilary Clinton is a strong and effective choice to serve as a messenger and manager of women’s rights globally. She has proven herself as a fierce advocate for women’s rights due to her strong and consistent record of effectively championing women’s rights, economically and politically. She has remained consistent throughout her career as an advocate for gender equality, human rights, and women’s rights policies. Throughout her time in the Senate, she advocated women’s rights and used her status around the world to shine a light on issues of importance for women and girls. Hillary Clinton’s unwavering stance has supported that women lives are just as valuable as any other lives, women’s rights are human’s rights, and anything less is unacceptable. Hilary Clinton understands that the world needs to recognize the unfair injustice being committed against women’s rights. She chooses to speak out, instead of remaining silent. The world must understand and recognize that in the fight for justice, by remaining silent and turning a blind eye, which is considered the same as supporting injustices. Hillary Clinton suggested in her speech the world should no longer ignore the wrongs being globally committed against women, around the globe in today’s society, the issues of inhumanity and injustices are rising as the value on women lives declines.

This hardworking presidential candidate is a woman who’s been fighting for children and families for over forty years. Someone who has provided her best works in reaching over the limits of a woman and providing millions of children with health care. After losing the last presidential elections, Hillary Clinton became Secretary of State in the Obama administration. Clinton future at the White House is questionable at this stage as she announced that she would no longer serve as Sectary of State and she would not run for presidency in 2012; some rumors however state that she considers competing in the 2016 elections. It is nevertheless worthwhile to mention that it has been nearly two centuries since any sectary of state has become United States president.
Oprah is a successful business person. But she is different from other business icons. “I don’t think of myself as a businesswoman,” she says. From hosting a talk show to acting, Winfrey grabbed every opportunity she believed was necessary to help more people. She states, “The reason I’ve been able to be so financially successful is my focus has never, ever for one minute been money”. As one of the most powerful people in the world, she is the source of inspiration and strength to many people. Her passionate personality brought her fame. Winfrey leads from the heart by making connection with others. She is not afraid of being real by sharing her own experience, including her setbacks and mistakes, to motivate others.
The dynamics of leadership’s styles has changed throughout the century because the dynamics of leaders have changed. Many researchers have conceptualized the term leadership to make it simpler to understand, however it can be quite complicated because there are some many levels and components that make up a great leader in theory. There are no equations to explain how to become the perfect leader or how to obtain the perfect leadership style. There are strategies one can use to develop as a leader and certain behaviors that can allow an individual to identify with a particular style of leadership. In fact when dealing with followers of any sort, this allows the public to get a glimpse and know when the individual in authority changes. It would give the public a better understanding of what to expect and what to desire in future leaders. With this in mind, the purpose of this analysis is to evaluate and summarize the leadership styles and management of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. A leader is someone who timelessly practice guiding others in pursuit of a goal, or desired outcome. At the most fundamental level, a leader is someone who motivates, inspires and guides others toward pre-established goals. One of the most prominent leaders and inspirational person is Michelle Lavaughn Robinson Obama, former First Lady and married to Barack Obama, the former 44th President of the United States. During her time as an attorney and First Lady, Mrs. Obama has been an advocate for women’s rights, poverty awareness, a mentor, a supporter of military families, healthy eating and has been a fervent opponent of inequality (Slevin,2015). Michelle Obama is a noteworthy because she possesses leadership characteristics that inspire, motivate and made changes to the way American citizens live and see life; she became a beacon of hope.
Admittedly, Hilary Clinton has spoken around the world about the challenges that women have faced. However, it is the continued struggle of American women that inspires and fuels her passion and fight for equality in this male-dominated culture. Also, while married to bill Clinton who was actively involved in women’s right, Hilary advocated for a standard of equality that embrace all colors and cultures. . Clinton establishes ethos when she states, “Over the past 25 years, I have worked persistently on issues relating to women, children, and families. Over the past two and a half years, I've had the opportunity to learn
As the United States prepares for the coming presidential race in 2016, circumstances throw into question which qualities a candidate should possess in order to be successful and make a positive impact on the nation. Looking into the past, one can surmise that the best leaders must be brave, and filled with indomitable courage, compassion, and hope. The president is one leading millions and making key decisions which have enormous ramifications. As the leader of a nation, he or she speaks out in times of joy and crisis, setting the tone for the entire government body.
A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. “He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by integrity of being intent”. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton campaigned against each other in 2016, I will begin telling you about their background, leadership, and trustworthy qualities.
In November of 2016, Americans will have a unique opportunity to vote for a woman for President for the first time. Many will not, for reasons related to her policies, her party, or even her past. But others will not solely because of her gender. In my opinion, gender, like race or sexuality, is irrelevant as a qualification for running for office. Others will disagree, and disagree rather forcefully. There will come a time when someone will tell me not to vote for this woman. When that time comes, will I be able to make my voice heard? Will I have the courage of my convictions?
Being the leader of the free world is an accomplishment that citizens of the United States see as job with a vast amount of responsibility. Along with the responsibility comes great scrutiny. Presidents have come and gone, leaving a legacy that either creates a lasting memory of great leadership, or leaves a bad taste in the mouth of American voters. Leading the way in the land of the free is judged by three points: how the president chose to conduct themselves during controversial times, critical situations, and most importantly how they plan to help the citizens of the United States.
Leadership is a skill that one is not born with, but is acquired through life experiences and interactions. Michelle Obama perseverance to attain a higher education, a concept foreign in her family, shows the dedication and determination a leader must have. As a leader, it is imperative that once you establish a mission or purpose, that you, as well as your team members, worked to accomplish that goal. Because of her perseverance, Michelle can be best identified as a pace setter, innovative and charismatic leader because through the various projects she undertook as her role of First Lady, she influences people through personality, inspires passion and the need to be active in one’s own community. For example, this can be seen in her role as Executive Director for the Chicago office of Public Allies where she mobilized youths and community to get active and set fundraising records for the organization that still stood 12 years after she left. Michelle influences people through her own success. Having attended Harvard Law, becoming a top attorney and later the first African American First Lady, she has influenced youths across the nation to believe that anything is possible, so long as they have faith. In accordance to the Leadership Theories, Michelle Obama can be categorized under the Authentic Leadership Approach; for these leaders, their leadership is genuine, develops over time, transparent and driven by moral values (Komives, Lucas&, McMahon). Projects such as Let’s
