Choose a topic for this week forum topic is I picked in healthpeople.gov the objectives on Healthcare-Associated Infections. This topic will be on the side effects caused by common infections appearing to hospitalized patients in hospital being infected through health care. Also more than one million HAIs (healthcare-associated infections) happen over the United States health care system every year. There are sick and death with tens of thousands of lives vanished per year due to these infections (Health Care–Associated Infections, 2015).
This is reason why I chose this topic and there is some information about these infections.

Recent studied suggest that effecting reduce in HAIs around 70 % with present prevention practices. Its economic merit of using these prevention practices is approximately between $25.0 billion and $ 31.5 billion of medical cost. Their goal is Prevent, decrease, and eventually eradicates healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
Moreover, I chose CDC infection control on section of “Learn More”
After click it, I could see some categories like type of infection, data statistics, guideline recommendation, be a patient safe, preventing HAIs, research and etc. So I did click the topic. This topic is for Patient Safety: What You Can Do to Be a Safe Patient. CDC describe about HAIs, which is depends on how much time stay at healthcare system, that means health care facilities may to lead exposed risks such as blood, surgical site or urinary tract infection. These infections can disturb to emotional, financial and medical effects.
The germs may spread between patient to patient on unclean hands of healthcare providers or inappropriate use or reuse of equipment.
