However, Dutta (2008), the process-based perspective scrutinizes a variety of communication processes that are enacted in healthcare settings, with an emphasis on the ways in which the health meanings are constructed negotiated, resisted and sustained. For instance the process based approach in this study will focus on the various processes involved in the Zulu perspective
Furthermore, scholars applying the message-based perspective would focus on the impact of health messages on health care delivery and individual health outcomes, with the goal of developing and evaluating messages that achieve desired outcomes (Dutta, 2008). Therefore, a message-based approach in the context of this study would focus on how messages can be designed to
This process improvement initiative is directed at improving patient care by standardizing the care of infants by decreasing the variation in treatment by providers. During, weekly discharge rounds every Tuesday in UAB’s RNICU & CCN, the lack of standard care for NAS was identified as a potential problem affecting the LOS & DOS. The team comprised of the nurse managers, assistant nurse managers, social services, Utilization Management (UM), NNPs, the discharge coordinator and UAB Police discussed the LOS & DOT issues. Because the process of weaning the methadone is crucial, questions would arise about which day of weaning the infants was on and whether the infants needed to be monitored 3-5-7 days off methadone before discharging infants. In my point of view, there are three important themes from the story. Firstly, the communication is essential and important in healthcare settings. As we all know, the language barrier is the main problem to be solved when interacting with another culture. In other words, communication is a two-way interaction. Only people can understand each other, the conversation and consultation could start. To be specific, in health care settings, communication is the key to grasping the health condition of patients, know the patients’ need, as a result, provide the most suitable and best care plan for

In this assignment I will be looking at the different types of communication which are used in care settings and the factors that support and inhibit communication.
In nursing school, we are normally taught that we should respect the dignity and rights of all clients. As the "world becomes reduced" and societies and individuals become more mobile, we are progressively able to network with people that are from other cultures. Cultural respect and competence for others becomes particularly significant for us as nurses and patient supporters. Applying the principles and theories of communication is important for sufficient patient care. A lot of various communication methods are executed and have diverse focuses. Small groups use mechanisms such as objectives, standards, cohesiveness, behaviors, and therapeutic issues. Duty, process and midrange groups are separate categories. Orientation, tension, cohesion, working and dissolution are stages groups go through. Successful personal and professional communication profits the patients and other health professionals; however, the lack of applicable communication can lead to poor patient results and a hostile and fruitless work setting (Doane, 2004). However, the cultural group targeted in this paper is the Native Americans because this group has become a challenge for public health nurses.

Roemer’s model of a health care delivery system shows the different necessary elements for a system to be successful. As health needs are the input; the system needs resources, organization of programs, economic support mechanisms, and delivery of services to provide the health needs output (Roemer, p 33). Able 2 is an organization that provides services to people with disabilities. They have many resources, but perhaps not enough to meet the health needs of every consumer. They have well organized programs, have economic support, and can deliver services completely and holistically to produce health as the output of the client. The most important implication that was found in analyzing Able 2 was the need for increased resources as they are not able to meet the needs for every client in need of its services. Ultimately though, Able 2 is an excellent organization that provides an array of services for those people with disabilities.
