Question 1. Working as a team in the health department is not only critical, but should be considered a high priority. One of the important areas of team work is communication and the priority of keeping everyone on the same page. One of the areas that has been important in our office is cross-training. Having people help teach others in different areas of expertise has made us stronger as a team. One of my primary areas of inspections is with swimming pools. Many of the hotels have both swimming pools as well as serve a continental breakfast. I have been trained by other inspectors to oversee the food areas and the swimming pools at hotels. This would not have happened had we not looked at the bigger picture, with being there to inspect pools

I am interested in medical social work, and on a micro-level. My passion is drug affected infants. I was a CPSW for three years and worked with many babies that were affected by the use of their parents in utero and this type of casework always touched my heart. As a medical social worker I would be able to be on the other side of the spectrum and help children from a different angel. As a medical social worker one goal would be to implement a study on the drug affected infant population in West Virginia. I work with the Department of Health and Human Resources child fatality review team, and children that are born drug exposed are at
