Hannah Mickey is a student and athlete at Rolling Meadows High School, and I have had the privilege to work with her the last four years. As the varsity basketball coach, I have had the opportunity to watch Hannah flourish in all aspects of her high school career. I would highly recommend Hannah for admittance to the University of Wisconsin-Madison
When I first met Hannah, she blew me away with her creativity, musical talent, and kindness. However, none of these things were the first thing she taught me. That would have to be my firm belief in patience. I’m the person who dreads standing in line, dealing with other people, and even handling myself. You could say that I am impatient, I prefer the term driven. Hannah is the total opposite. While I highly doubt anyone is likes waiting in lines, she is willing to pick up her phone to help anyone at any time and has so much patience for herself. To top that off, she puts up with me which requires more patience than I will ever have. Hannah teaches me
Hannah remains a wonderful role model to her peers in all of her work ethic, kindheartedness, and her spiritual life. No one would be able to find one cruel bone in her body. Passionate about everything she does, she never gives up on anything. She is not swayed by the majority; she finds joy in being her own person. The following quote perfectly sums up Hannah’s outlook on life. “Do not compare yourself with others. It is our uniqueness that makes us who we are.” - Tina J.
Eighth reason is because of Ryan. Ryan was a guy in school who found lost items and put pictures of them through the halls to show people what other people lose. Hannah showed Ryan one of her poems and he had put it in his pictures around their school. One teacher in the school discussed what the poem was about and other people uttered discourteous comments on it. This made Hannah depressed and she started to despise everyone around
Clay Jensen is the main character in Jay Asher's mysterious novel Thirteen R3asons Why. Clay is the narrator of the disturbing tale of a high school sophomore, Hannah Baker's unorthodox suicide. Hanna recorded thirteen tapes, all directed towards different people explaining why they were responsible for her suicide. Because Clay has always been in love with Hannah, hearing her voice on tapes she had recorded before she committed suicide was a hard pill for him to swallow.
Hannah Hardiman is a friend of many. She stays involved with her community and enjoys the the company of others. She is a talented soccer player and was a captain of Fairfax girls junior varsity team last year. She is always very bubbly and tries to look on the positive side of life. Her comfortable style shows that she is pretty relaxed and approachable. She doesn’t like talking about herself which shows that she’s a humble person who cares more about others than herself. She’s hilarious when she’s not trying and her joyous laughter
Hannah was the most popular girl in school, every girl wanted to be her and every guy wanted to be with her. Besides her being wealthy and that she was
The conflict of Hannah against herself is told by her in the thirteen tapes as she explains why she killed herself. I believe that Hanna Baker was powerless because the last couple of months while she was still alive she had no one to count on anymore. No one, not one person. Not even her parents and that is just completely heartbreaking. All she wanted was someone to pay attention to her, to actually care for her but nobody cared. All they cared for was themselves no one else and that is just selfish. All the thirteen reasons, all those people were the reasons. Hannah choose to do those cassettes to let them know why and be reasonable for it. Hannah left a note in Mrs. Bradley bag to talk about a topic. “Suicide. It’s something I’ve been thinking about” (Asher 170). One of her classmate says it’s because she wanted “attention” and didn’t wrote her name
The first topic we discussed was her family life. When i interviewed Hannah she had shared that she is sixteen years of age, born on April,26th 1999 in Grand Junction,Colorado. Next, she shared in the interview that she moved to Greensburg.Pennsylvania three years ago ,before that she lived in Rangely, Colorado. She had also shared with me,that she has a brother named Evan, who is a freshman at Hempfield, who is autistic as well. Hannah has two pets in her family, they are two dogs named Bella and Ella, one of the dogs is a pitbull and boxer
She met many different people on her way. Everyone had opened something new to her. She learned new things thanks to those people. Her ideas about her world had changed, but mostly they changed about God, about people’s true nature, and about herself. Hannah had different ideas about God.
One reason teens should read 13 reasons why is because it teaches people that words someone says can actually hurt people. Words truly do hurt, and at this moment Hannah Baker is standing in a store named Blue Spot. Hannah is about to experience that very situation of how words can hurt. While Hannah is standing at the cash register a guy walks in, Hannah doesn't like him because he has put her on the list of best butt in high school class. This guy walk around the store and then walks up behind Hannah and stood there waiting,
The new girl at school is naturally shy and alone, but Hannah Baker seemed to have it easier acquiring friends and such, she is pretty popular for being the new girl but that didn't last long, people started many rumors going around but of course these rumors are not true and yet they just keep bundling up until she's reached her breaking point. No one saw it coming, no one expected it, no one noticed she was about to committed suicide. But before she committed such an event, Hannah left behind a total of seven cassette tapes and thirteen stories leading to her death, the reasons to why she was driven over the edge. Each tape was directed towards one specific person in which they caused one horrifying reason to her death. The tapes was put
In the past decades Suicide was a taboo topic to talk about especially in a movie or show. In the last decade suicide has become a less taboo topic. Especially this year after the show “13 Reasons Why” was released. The show is about a girl named Hannah who committed suicide and left tapes for each person who had a hand to play in her suicide.
