Have you ever wondered what Halloween feels like running around in rain instead of just cold weather? Well i was outside trick or treating and then there was a boom that filled the sky. Then at that moment I realized that Halloween could be ruined. All my friends and can’t wait to trick or treat we are all ten too we have a lot in common. Such as favorite animal, age, things we don’t like, and playing in pouring rain! We are all going to meet up at Cheswick and Valley. For Halloween I'm being a cat my favorite animal! I was in the bathroom doing my hair when my ears perked up when ding went the doorbell. Scampering from the bathroom onto the stairs i swung open the door to find trick or treaters. “Trick or Treat”, shouted scary witches, vampires, zombies, and ghosts. I smiled with my lips full of red lipstick as I fetched the bowl of candy.on Friday afternoon of Halloween I plopped two lollipops in each of their bags as they scurried off. All in unison called back, …show more content…
I skimmed over the jack o lanterns, heard the faint sounds of trick or treat, the crumble of candy wrappers, and the smell of crisp autumn air. I’d been out for a while when I felt rain. I smelled the rain. Then tasted the droplets and saw kids run for the cars. But meanwhile my friends and I all enjoyed it and ran around in the rain still trick or treating. We reached
One day a little girl that lived in the neighborhood had been murdered. So they can’t go trick or treating alone and they had to go in a group with a parent
It was Friday the 13th in Halloween Town, Louisiana. A group of four teenagers, Phil, Lee, Aaron, and Craig, wanted to visit an old abandon house in town where supposedly, very eccentric, spooky things occur. Each kid had heard hundreds of stories about teenagers, just like them, going into the house and never coming out, as their parents and elders had told them all their lives. However, even after being warned about the horrifying house, the kids, for some very odd reason, still wanted to see for themselves if the stories were true. Thus, the kids devised a plan to meet at the house at 11 o’clock that night.
Jenna felt her stomach begin to growl and she thought of the dinner her father had prepared for them before he’d left for work. Spaghetti and meatballs with cheesy garlic bread, her absolute favorite. The very thought of it was now making Jenna 's mouth water as she licked her lips in hunger. She silently wished that she would have eaten earlier with her father back when he had just finished cooking it. That was right before he had kissed her on the cheek, told her he loved her, and headed off to work the night shift as a paramedic at Saint Christopher 's Hospital. But, she was too excited about Halloween to eat just then, the anticipation of trick-or-treating being such a short time away filling her every thought with joy. She was a
The loud buzz of the intercom whines throughout the school, announcing the event of the day, at least in our eyes. “... like math? Don’t forget to attend the Fall Outreach at Lupine Hills Elementary School!” and the silent apprehension of the day is met with cheers from the “nerds” in the classroom. We call out one of the perks of volunteering in outreaches: “C’mon guys, you get community service hours!” Flash-forward to later in the evening. We begin with “spookifying” the room, placing pumpkins that were carved with an array of faces, from the kawaii to the frightening. The elementary school principal loves it. The students eyes are caught in the heat of a dollar bill that seems to be burning, but is left untouched by the flames. A pair to the left have their hands sticky with the scientific phenomenon of “oobleck”, smashing cornstarch and cleaning fluid into heavy balls and then letting it drip like honey through their fingers. Across the room are children covering their ears and giggling at the squeaky noises dry ice makes when in contact with metal. Even more are ogling at the cookies and cream ice cream made from the dry ice, the show stopper of the
As I walked into the Petaluma Health Center it dawns on me that it was Halloween. Edwin and I were not informed that everyone would be dressing up for the day. We ran into Amy and were told that we would have an office for the day. This was a pleasant surprise because we have been working in the break area the last couple of weeks. The quiet of this office allowed Edwin and I to work on parts of our presentation. Our main goal for the day was to meet up with Gabb a member of Vet Connect.
Introduction: Patrons of the season of Halloween spend over $2.5 billion dollars every year on candy, costumes, and decorations. Every year millions of kids get dressed up, knock on doors, and beg for candy. Have you ever wondered where this strange tradition originated? The three most important points of Halloween can be summed up by looking at its origins, how it came to include jack-o-lanterns and bobbing for apples, and how it is celebrated today with trick-or-treating and haunted houses.
Leaves crunched under my feet as I ran from the police officer. Out of the corner of my eye, I spied a set of rectangular eyes on a porch. I ran to the door and knocked. “Trick or treat!” A hand reached out and placed a handful of candy corn in my bag. Soon my brother caught up, light from the full moon reflected off his plastic badge. Reaching in my bag I found grabbed some interesting feeling triangular candies and popped them in my mouth. Tonight my candy corn addiction had started.
It was a warm fall night Grace, Hannan, Jack, and I planned to trick or treat together. “Hey we should go on my street,” said Grace. Hannan and I cheered in agreement. Jack left a joined his friends. We walked to Grace’s street. As we arrived on the dark street we shivered in fear. “I think we should go back,” Bella said. “Well, you can go back,” Grace said. Bella turned back. We kept walking we finally reached Grace’s house. We went to the house at the end of the street. All the lights were off we rang the doorbell. A zombie came to the door. “Here’s some candy.” An old lady with dark under her eyes and all black clothes said as she threw candy at us.“It’s is really dark.” Hannan said. It was a long walk back. “ We should take the path,”
We all went trick-or-treating for 1 hour, although I did see something that sorta freaked me out, a man with a scythe who seemed to lurk near us. We were headed back to the gas station to get some eggs, to perform the ritual of egging a house on Halloween. We walked all the way back to the neighborhood after we got them, throwing the eggs at the house
Transition: With all holidays come celebrations, let’s talk about the festivities that helped shape Halloween today.
It was a late October night on the last night of October, Halloween. The air was not to hot but wasn’t to cold either there was a slight breeze and it felt as if it was a comforting spring evening. It was about half past nine and it was quiet, well besides the few late night trick or treaters such as my cousin brother and I, and the occasional car alarms that would be set off because of the delinquents of Glendale, Utah. It was dark by now and the street lamps were mostly all burned out besides a
As the Halloween this season comes and goes once again as it always does, when all of the candy is thrown out, the costumes are put in storage and parties die down, we laugh and reminisce about the fun memories the holiday brought that year. However, for people who lived in the north east in 2012, instead of packing our costumes we packed our clothes to leave our homes indefinitely, instead of throwing out our candy we threw out old pictures, toys, and sentiments ruined by flooding and winds, and instead of partying with friends we held our loved ones close, because we didn’t know what the future had in store for them. Ironically, Halloween of 2012 was the scariest of all because it brought a real threat, a raging storm that would impact and hurt the lives of so many named Super Storm Sandy.
Halloween: the holiday where as kids we couldn’t wait to go door to door to achieve the golden goal of a full bag of candy. Halloween soon turns into a question mark for teens; in an instant, there is a change of when it is ‘appropriate’ to go trick-or-treating and when you should just move on. Are you the one who thinks Trick-or-treating is lame or the one who still walks around your neighborhood every year -- no matter how many dirty looks you may get. What teenagers decide to do on Halloween varies: going to a party, passing out candy, staying home are a few popular options. Throughout my highschool experience I have been able to witness and experience all different types of halloteens, each with their own traits.

It is present day in a small town known as Salem, MA. Its getting closer and closer to Halloween. I see the leaves are beginning to change, the nights are getting cooler, the sounds of tractors in the field harvesting crops, the sight of pumpkins everywhere decorating houses with faces and designs carved into them surround the neighborhood. Salem, MA is a very quiet town where everyone knows everyone and everyone gets along, for the most part.
