Should there be any type of law for guns and their uses?
Should there be any type of gun control in the U.S.? Seeing what has been happening around the country with the school shootings, there should be some type of control over weapons. A control that has safety into it so people won't be harmed or feel unsafe. A lot of people may disagree with me but it would help a lot with the school shootings and any other harmful or life taking events. For example, we had seen some type of gun abuse and not much of a stand up for our safety. We only base of the second amendment and the Gun Control Act of 1968, which prohibits people under the age of 18 to own a weapon, but what help does that make. We have that act but it has been violated and there
A hot-button topic in the world of U.S. politics today is the controversy over whether or not new gun laws need to be instituted to keep Americans safe. We are a nation that believes in the Second Amendment, and one that sticks to traditional values. With this, comes a great deal of incongruity, which makes for a very sensitive debate on gun control. On one side of the spectrum, we have those who take a more liberal stance; while they do in fact support the second amendment, there is no doubt that the U.S. has evolved significantly since the Constitution was written, hence creating a need for strict gun laws. On the other side of the spectrum, conservatives argue that as soon as executive action inhibits the fundamental principles in which
“The right to bear arms”, an amendment so prioritized by our founding fathers that it earned the very second spot on the list of birth rights as Americans. However, with constant tragedies striking the United States, such as massacres in public high schools and universities, mall shootings, and attempted assassinations on state representatives, it’s no wonder law makers are constantly debating the topic of gun control.
Gun control is a controversial issue for a long time around the world, particularly in U.S. because of a lots of mass shooting in school and public places. The second Amendment of the U.S. constitution is one of the shortest in all of the bill of right, it was written by the time period of American’s birth and it is the spirit of self-defense that help the new citizens of U.S. win their own freedom from the British. But now as the gun shooting problem happening every day in America, this gun control problem has gradually become to a hot issue. Compare to other countries like Britain, Canada, Japan, China, the difference between U.S. and those countries is in these countries to get a firearm is a very difficult thing
Gun control has been a controversial topic, no doubt. It has led people to say that people shouldn’t be able to buy guns, and this argument has split America. Since I am a hunter I do believe people should have the right to buy guns. I also want to pass a bill that removes some types of guns away from the market.
The pro gun control debate is sided by the more liberal organizations. Whether they are conspicuously discernible organizations for gun control, or even just more liberal news sources, be sure you ken their political standing afore taking their data as whole truth. Even an organization such as NPR cannot be held as 100% reliable, because of their generally liberal agendas. The gun control debate facts for the anti control side are just as suspect. Again, the NRA and its constituents are perhaps the most vocal in this debate. But generally any Republican or right-wing organization is going to have some remotely investment in keeping gun control down. Any of their facts and information are going to be hyperbolized or skewed in order to make gun
The number of people that are died due to the lack of gun laws in the USA In 2016. This is the number from January to August alone. They numbers are made up of mothers, Fathers, daughters, sons, role models… the list could go on. Not all are innocent, but I can assure you that if there were stricter gun laws in the US that number would be significantly lower.
The bill, To Increase Gun Control Act will provide a secure background check for people who are trying to buy or own a gun. This bill will only provide legal gun to people who have no criminal history and clear background checks. This will create a rule to make background check more efficient and faster for the FBI to check a person background information accurately and increase weight time period. The purpose of this bill is to provide people the sense of safety in their neighborhood and their house. One million dollars will be provided to each state to provide police stations for Cash for Gun programs. Cash for Guns programs will offer people to recycle the gun they don’t need in exchange for 100 dollar per gun. 93% of the crimes used in
The issue of gun control dates back to the 17th century. There have been debates whether the government of the United States should adopt gun control or not and whether it is good for its citizens or not. As a result, two opposing groups have been formed; one supporting guns control and the other one against. According to statistics a big percentage of crimes committed in the United States are as a result of possession of guns and other firearms among citizens. In surveys carried out since 1999, over 20% of gun owners said that they owned the guns for protection. According to them, they use the guns to protect themselves against the increasing crimes. However, not all gun owners use the guns for protection; some use them to commit crimes thereby bringing in the issue of gun control. The United States government need to formulate laws and regulations to control gun ownership especially pro-guns (Spitzer p34-35).
Gun control is a law that controls how guns are sold and used, and who can own them. Allowing people to possess and use a gun with legal documents in the United States is legal. There have been arguments on whether or not is should be legal to own a gun as some people see it as beneficial and others do not. It is believed that guns are beneficial to have, and they are there because we need to be able to protect ourselves. We should not allow the government to have power over gun control for many reasons including the loss of tradition of hunting, not being able to protect ourselves, and simply because of the second amendment.
Conflict is when 2 parties start fighting, or arguing. I believe that conflict is inevitable. I feel that conflict is inevitable because of people not having the same thoughts and ideas, people not liking a certain person, or simply disagreeing.
The Federal Firearms Act of 1938 made it illegal to sell guns to certain people, including convicted offender and required federal firearms licenses. According to FFL’s “people who are under license by the Federal gov’t to sell firearms to maintain customer records”. This act was clarified by the 1986 gun control act. There are people who wanted to carry a concealed handgun here in Oregon, but according to them that ability to have guns people should need to have an Oregon concealed handgun license. Also, according to Federal Firearms License (FFL) that in Oregon firearm owners that if the owners are injuries caused by negligence they can be held liable in civil court. They can also be held responsible for damages in a wrong death claim if
There is a debate that is going on over the Gun Control laws and background checks. Many people have different views across the country on the issue. I am completely with the choice to make it a lot harder for people to obtain any weapons. I would support laws So making sure that gun storesthey would have to do further looking into people's backgrounds and mental states. AuthoritiesPeople would have to make sure that they enforce the laws not just change them. I think this would be a very good choice and would help cut down on some of these mass shooting from happening. I think it would encourage the American people to start getting involved and help out and report anything they can to help stop any violence.
Gun control is a really serious problem that the united state need to do something about.
Guns. A word that sends shivers down some spines, and reminds others they need to clean theirs. The issue of gun control riles up many across America. Gun control falls under changing the current gun laws in any way that makes them stricter. People can buy any accessory they want whether it is considered harmful or not. It is also known the mentally ill can also easily obtain guns and ammunition. Most of the mass shootings Americans experienced are conducted by the mentally ill. Felons, who legally should not have the ability to obtain guns, can easily obtain them through background check mishaps and private sales. The United States government should slightly limit - not eliminate - civilian access to guns because: certain accesories serve
If that happens when no one has anything to protect themselves with then we are just sitting ducks to the bad people. On top of guns being a second amendment and used for hunting they are also important for other reasons. In my research I read that "Woman and weaker individuals may have no means of self-defense from rape or other crimes, especially in the inner city" (Messerli). Everyone should have the right to protect themselves against harmful people.
