You are very kind, but I am not sure about my good humour anymore :) If you don't mind, I would like to skip this mailing back and forth and take 5 minutes of Tijana's next lesson and schedule makeup lessons, approach or whatever you think that is important for Tijana's playing. Basically, as we have to finish this exam off this summer, we will take any time slot that is suitable for you. Last but not the least, she seems very, very happy with classes of yours, and I can listen even the six variations without getting "Groundhog day" feelings - Thank you! I will print the Sight Reading book out and make Tijana's day
The classroom is not large enough to accommodate two large sections, so you must take the exam when it is scheduled by the university.
Besides, I have class on Thursday next semester from 10-12 am, so I suppose that the TUT hours from 12-1 pm doesn’t work so well for me. I would appreciate it if I may be considered for either of the other two TUT hours, if it also works for others.
When Phil Connors comes to Punxsutawney, PA to report on Groundhog Day, he is a person of whom Thrasymachus would be proud. Here is some evidence from the movie. In Thrasymachus’s view, happiness is completely derived from the fulfillment of pleasures. Phil follows his appetites, only completing actions for the desires that follow. When he first realizes his situation he begins eating very unhealthy food, drinking, and smoking. As time passes he starts using this repetition of days to learn about people and the town, so that he can get whatever he wants. In one case he uses his knowledge to pretend he knew a woman from a high school English class, making it almost effortless to influence her to sleep with him.
Prejudice, violence, socioeconomic difficulties, sexual assault, stigmas against people with disabilities, inequality, and politics. These topics resonate throughout the tale of one young, southern boy—Forrest Gump. In Robert Zemeckis's film, Forrest Gump, the tale of a disadvantaged and disabled young boy, who grew up in the South, showcases, through light-hearted comedy, the historical progression of prejudice and discrimination in the United States of America. Forrest Gump never blended in with his peers during his youth, as they saw him as an abnormal person who had no place in their society—purely because the same advantages were not available to him upon birth. Fortunately, he stumbled upon a beautiful girl named Jenny, someone who would mold and shape how Forrest developed throughout his life. After countless taunts and torment upon Forrest, Jenny urged him to run, as fast as he could, from the bullies who pursued him—and while he did this he managed to break away from the braces that normally supported him, but he also broke away from the exact shackles that confined him. Therefore, Forrest’s braces represent him breaking away from the prejudice he faced and displays his humble attitude of rejecting the insensitive feelings of others. Through the film, Forrest Gump, director Robert Zemeckis demonstrates the importance of simplicity when evaluating controversial topics such as the Vietnam War, racial prejudice, ableism, sexual assault, and education reform in the United States.

The movie Groundhog Day is about a newscaster who visits Pennsylvania to cover a story on Groundhog’s Day. He ends up getting caught in a blizzard which sends him into a time loop so he keeps reliving the same day over and over. He tries everything to get himself out of that day, he even went as extreme as trying to kill himself to see if he would still wake up the next day. When he realizes that his action have no consequences on the world around him he starts to get creative. He starts committing unethical acts, like stealing money from a bank, stealing the groundhog, and punching an insurance man in the face. This movie is all about seeking out whether doing morally right actions or morally unjust actions leads to the most pleasure.
There is a quote “Stupid is stupid does...”, basically means that a person’s intelligence and common sense are evidenced by the person’s actions, and not by the person’s looks. The best way to describe it is that a stupid person is a person is a person that does stupid things. This Quote came directly form the movie “Forrest Gump”. I will be covering the audience, art forms, filmmaker’s decisions, expectation, implicit meaning, patterns, mise-en-scene and actors.
The movie Forrest Gump is a 1994 American epic romantic-comedy-drama film starring Tom Hanks as its leading actor depict changes in the American History. The story depicts several decades in the life of Forrest Gump, a slow-witted but kind-hearted, good natured and athletically prodigious man from Alabama who witnesses, and in some cases influences, some of the defining events of the latter half of the 20th century in the United States.
Forrest Gump is a romantic, historical drama that follows the protagonist, Forrest Gump, on his wild adventures throughout the world, where he is a hero time and time again despite having the measly IQ of 75. Although the audience is entranced with all of the success that Forrest garners (as a ping pong champion, Medal of Honor recipient, tycoon of a shrimping business and much more), Forrest himself is always focused on his love for Jenny, his first childhood friend that steals his heart. The script spans decades, as Forrest grows from a challenged child to proud father, time and again meeting up with Jenny. Forrest is always forward with his love for Jenny, yet she does not let herself be with Forrest, as she is enveloped with her love for the limelight and fame. As the story progresses, Forrest continues to recount his continued success, while snippets of Jenny slowly show her downward spiral as she struggles to be involved with the life of a hippy, stripper, and then a hardcore drug abuser. It is only after Forrest Gump returns home after the death of his mother that Jenny returns to their childhood home of Greenbow, Mississippi and stays with Forrest. After a night of love making, Jenny again slips out of Forrest’s life, but this time with a newfound light in her face, as if she has risen from her rock bottom state. Then, Forrest goes on a cross country run, again gaining the attention of the media, but more importantly the request of Jenny to come see her in the form
What times are you available? As I am graduated, I have daily times, usually from 1300(1:00 PM) to roughly 0200-0300 (2:00-3:00) the next morning. As I've been accepted to college, this is subject to change, but I do not know how it will work. Tuesday, I am not available at all, as I work all day at my temporary job.
“Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get.” These are some of the most well-known words from the movie Forrest Gump. Forrest Gump is a man that is gone through many struggles in his life. From being physically disabled as a child, to being in war, and also having to deal with his best friend, Jenny, not love him back, you could say that he has gone through his fair share of hard times. Although struggling throughout his life he manages to stay positive and keep a smile on his face. Tom Hanks, who plays Forrest Gump, uses his body and voice to portray a kind-hearted, slow-witted man who struggles to fit in.
A: Don’t worry. You can talk to your course instructor to reschedule the class according to your timetable. However; it should be within the stipulated course timeframe. Alternatively, you can attend any other live batches.
This means that I cannot negotiate individual terms for you. Assignments are due when they are due. Assignments are what they are and will not be revised for you. It would be hopelessly inefficient for me to allow some students to create their own course schedules. It would also be unfair to the other students. Even though I recognize that life is unfair, I try to sustain some degree of fairness in this class. So, please pay attention to due dates and plan ahead.
Robert Zemeckis’ 1994 film Forrest Gump acted as a vehicle for showcasing both the director’s (continued) innovative use of visual effects (first seen with the match-moving in Back to the Future and later with animation in Who Framed Roger Rabbit) and a shift in directorial style as the film was his first foray into the dramatic genre Perhaps the most notable aspect of the film, aside from its memorable characters and oft-quoted screenplay, is its convincing use of CGI technology, something not used extensively in Zemeckis’ previous works and mostly reserved for local weather forecasts and sci-fi films (at the time). Before Gump, CGI and visual effect-heavy films did not often seek to aid plot past surface level, but with this film the story’s weight falls apart if the effects aren’t as convincing as the actors’ performances and the subject matter. With this film, Zemeckis (awarded Best Director) and visual effects supervisor Ken Ralston (awarded the Best Visual Effects Oscar) rather nobly weaved together effective storytelling, rooted in both historical accuracy and comedic appeal, and CGI enhanced visuals.
However, with the small and gentle effort pumped into the movie by two well-known film masters, it led to the most appealing movie ever thought of by the two. Groundhog Day is an amusing and sweet surprising combination. Although the term appealing is an understatement of Murray’s style of humor, Groundhog Day is a thriller thanks to Murray’s comic hostility. He combined the bitter and the sweet, which is an essential recipe for making a pleasant film. The themes and stylistic devices employed in Groundhog Day are key ingredients of its success as a comedy film.
