Greek Mythology has been known to be one of the footprints left by the civilization of ancient Greece to our history and these mythology somehow shed a light to the culture, life style, religion and history of ancient Greece since the mythology were the primary basis of the origin of the ancient Greeks and they believed that these mythologies explained the origin of why things turned out to be like that.

Greece is the home of the Olympic Game; Olympic game is popular in Greece, also across the world. People love to travel there because of the sport facilities; in 2004 Greece hosted the EUFA Euro 2004, and people love to go there because of the sport events.

When people wonder about Ancient Greece the first thing that comes to their minds is Greek mythology; gods and goddesses that have helped shape many historical events. “In ancient Greece, stories about gods and goddesses and heroes and monsters were an important part of everyday life.” (“Greek Mythology.”) The civilization showed that numerous characters and stories helped shape Greeks. The beliefs the Greeks had with mythologies was they understood the meaning behind all the characters that are known today. However, to the Greeks, they were not just characters, these were their gods and goddesses who gave them meaning and understanding of the world around them. Worshiping the gods and goddesses helped them with their religious rituals and the temperament of the weather. A famous wine-jar that was made during this time period was “Achilles killing the Amazon Queen Penthesilea, 540-530 BCE, black-figured amphora”. (Khan Academy) The civilization that they lived in grew around their worship and achievements.

Many things from Greece are still seen today. There are many great philosophers such as; Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, Pythagoras, Archimedes, and others, that are widely known. And there are many Greek buildings that still stand like; The Pantheon, Erechtheum, Athens, and many temples. These are some reasons Greece was better than Rome.

Greece has really took advantage of the Olympics and have used it to its advantage. If it was not for the Olympics, Greece wouldn't be as popular as it is know.

Geography has always been a unique and picturesque part of Greece. Greece has amazing mountains and landscapes. Having the geography Greece has, has both positive and negative effects on Greece but the results are ultimately negative. Like the lack of communication and the isolation between communities. Also the natural disaster were negative too.

The ancient Greek Civilization is famously known for their architecture, philosophical thinkers, mythology, and their knowledge of astronomy. Even with all of this Greece had slaves among their civilization.

Throughout history there have been many contributions to Western civilization made by the Ancient Greeks. The Ancient Greeks contributed in the areas of art, democracy, sports, architecture, theater, philosophy, math, and science. These contributions were the forefront and beginning ideals that were established so many years ago, but are still used today. They were responsible for many contributions to Western civilization, the Greeks had the first known democracy, they were known for their amazing architecture, and the Ancient Greek Olympics are still carried out today.

Greece is one of the four multicultural empires that occurred around 600 BCE to 600 CE. Ancient Greece had so many different geographical features that helped brand the outcomes of the empire. One of the key features was Greece’s rugged mountains with deep valleys. With the mountains and valleys being rugged, it produced poor rocky soils (Acrobatiq, 2014). Also, there were narrow coastal areas as well. With this being a living environment for the Greeks, the production of food crops was unfortunate because of those factors. The Greeks had to find other ways to gather foods to their city-states because of the low production of food crops. With this being a bittersweet situation, Greeks recognized more about trades. They eventually became more knowledgeable and respectable at it. Greeks would find other places that would trade with them for food crops and other resources. Greeks built colonies that were decent areas for finding foods and resources. Through this time, Greeks expanded with trading and traveling to enhance their empire.

The Greeks are known for many things.They are respected in so many ways and have a ton of history behind them.They are the most advanced in their history. Many of their discoveries are taught in school as lessons in History. Stories like the most famous The Odyssey Book 12-14 By Homer where it explains when Odysseus crosses paths with her crew members where the Encounter The Sirens. Sirens are a perfect example of the many mythologies dealt with in Ancient Greek.

Ancient Greece was one of the most advanced civilization in terms of social, economic, political, religious, philosophy, art and literature. But why were they so ahead compared to earlier civilizations such as Egypt, Mesopotamia, China, and the Indus Valley? Ancient Greece had the geography, the power along with influence, and the right society to develop into one of the most successful civilization ever. Their geography allowed for them to create multiple city-states and easy agriculture which also a large part of their economy. Greece's government and society allowed them to produce some of the most well known philosopher, mathematicians, and scientist. Greece's government and society was mainly focused on teaching and exploring many areas of knowledge, this lead to many great philosophers and mathematicians.

Greece was a wonderful place to be where Athens was all about beauty and Sparta was all about their military. Greece has been through many changes since its modern day. Athens golden age was well know to our history because Athens was at its peak. All these changes has created the modern day Greece we know today.

The culture in Greece differs from America’s culture obviously, but in Greece the culture is influenced by the traditions that people have. The culture in Greece is not just focused on one thing, but everything there is part of the culture the way the people live, the food, the music, and basically their lifestyle. What I think is a main part of and what makes Greece what it is today is the history. The history in Greece is responsible for the culture in Greece today because they would’ve never thought of the food or the fashion. Back then Greece was famous for the way they dressed.

Ever since they did so they never received any payment back. Greece may have been beneficial to the world in the past years, but not so much in the present. Greece, a very interesting country, has very intriguing beliefs and food, a huge amount of unemployed, and a spectacular background. Geography, the flag, inventions, interesting facts, and places to visit are all part of this countries Overview. Greece's geography influenced its economy greatly.
