If you walk through almost any city, the buildings, bridges, and any other available spaces are seemingly filled with colors, picture, and words that are not part of the original architecture. This graffiti, which is a mix of tags, stencils, pieces, and freestyle, seems to have almost taken over cities across the world. Some of this graffiti, such as tags, are eyesores, but some pieces, such as the High Line “Love Is the Answer” and “Kiss” murals in New York City, are sites that have become iconic pieces of artwork. Unfortunately, pieces like these are also starting to be covered to a seemingly astronomical rate, which is causing outrage among those who visited to them.

Since the birth of graffiti in the 1960’s many people were or are either thrown in jail, have to pay a high fine in graffiti damages or are either asked to do graffiti in many museums and art galleries because owners like the art they see and want others to see it too. Graffiti has been around for some time now, most people and the police just see it as a form of destruction and not art they should not just see it as something that is good or evil because these artists are expressing themselves through this art and trying to spread a message. The United States and the U.K need to accept the art and nature or meaning behind this graffiti because it is a way for people to do good things other than rob or go to jail it is also a way for people to get their message out and have others hear them or see them in an artistic way.

Even though there has been maximal building that has been vandalized, putting graffiti on school walls is going to far. The graffiti is illegal in abounding states. It does have a marvelous appearance, but if you are going to do it, do it somewhere else.

Although many schools don’t do anything about graffiti, in other people’s opinion, it should be banned. Doing this can be appealing for many kids. Graffiti is just many artists that couldn’t get into an amazing art school, so they have other people look at their work, on the old building, trains, schools, and even the humongous dumpsters.

Graffiti has been called vandalism by many people. If cities around the world, converted old abandon buildings and warehouses into places where art can bloom, this would change the world and would/could decrease or even stop illegal public defacement of property. Graffiti may be seen as vandalism, but graffiti has many positive attributes associated with it as well. Having abandoned buildings and warehouses in cities are a major burden and problem. Cities should help me turn abandoned buildings around the world, into a place where art and expression can bloom through graffiti.

Although our school is under attack by graffiti, it will stop! Graffiti is written on a wall that is an expression of feelings. On to the walls of our school there are graffiti, there has never been the graffiti on Dierks high school since it has been built. I have a plan we can hire students to patrol the school grounds at night to watch for the graffiti scum that disgraced our school. In the future our past alumni will come back to this school and remember all of the fun memories they spent at Dierks high school they will not want to see all of this graffiti on every inch of this school. They say that graffiti is art, well i think that art is for a canvas not the walls of our school.

I am writing this letter because i have heard comments and rumors around the community about graffiti being in museums and in art galleries. Graffiti should not be in art galleries or in museums because graffiti started out in the streets and thats where it should stay.

Graffiti is an unauthorized painting, writing or drawing in a public space. Although some people like the graffiti, many view it as vandalism to one’s property. They think it destroys public perception of an area, a building or etc. Other people however think the graffiti symbols something meaningful.

Graffiti is never a good idea. It’s especially a bad idea if it's done in a school, and it involves a friend. In my old elementary school, there were two different levels of grades in one building. Kindergarten to third grade was called lower elementary and fourth to sixth grade was called upper elementary. It was always a big deal to go from one level to the next because everyone was in the same classroom, with the same teacher and the same group of friends for three years. Of course, it all changed when we went to fourth grade.

I believe that Graffiti is a way for an individual to express their feelings without anyone having to know exactly what they’re talking about or who did the artwork. I firmly think that Graffiti is such a better way to get through something, rather than consuming drugs or trying to run away from their problems. If there was a certain place set aside in the community for Graffiti artists to do their work, I think a lot of people would benefit from a giant brick wall filled with other people’s art. Graffiti is also an amazing anxiety reliever for people with high anxiety, they may even be able to be less anxious because they have something to look forward to, and they can do it without being afraid of getting in trouble for trying to feel

Although there are many buildings that have been vandalised by graffiti at our schools,it will not last forever. Graffiti is a form of art, but I think art should be on a canvas not the side of our school. Graffiti destroys the beauty of our schools. All them people that built the schools.
