I believe that the state government is the daily effects in our lives because we use many resources each day that are funded by our state government. The state government pays for the bus transportation we used when we were going to school. They pay for the our trash removal all over our community and provide teachers for schools, as well as libraries. The state government also pays for people in our community to have clean water. The state pays for the upkeeps of the city parks, that many people use daily and sewages to be disposed. Town buildings and roads are also funded by our state government. One of our main ones that we use daily is electricity. It's safe for all of us to use because we have licensed and well prepared electricians
There are a variety of differences and similarities between federal, state, and local governments. This includes, but is not limited to, the responsibilities, size, and staff of the administration. The machinery of government is intended to better the quality of citizen’s lives. Ultimately, federal, state, and local governments were established to work together in bettering programs and laws (Berkley & Rouse, 2009, p.32).
A public policy is the body of principles that underpin the operation of legal systems in each state. In this paper I am going to talk about federal along with state policies. I will discuss each of the policies and how they are similar and how they are different. Federal and State policies are made to help keep our Country running smoothly. If there were no policies then keeping our Country safe would be a hard task. Policies are principles that are set to help make our Country operate on a daily bases. I like to think of it as rules that are set to keep our Country safe; because if there were no rules then everyone would be doing their own thing which could cause for a very disorganized situation.
According to the book, a government is a public institution with authority to formulate, adopt, implement, and enforce public policies for a society (book). Since I am included in the society, the government has a great influence on my daily life. Even though I am not a U.S. citizen, the U.S. government still affects me directly because I live on U.S territory. The government that affects me and my family the most is not the White House or the Congress, it is the local government; Counties, municipalities, school districts, and other special districts that provide a range of services, including rural roads, city streets, public education, and protection of persons and property (book). Local government is responsible
Each state has their own specific unique laws established individually for their state. In conjunction with those laws that exist over the people in their specific state there are also federal laws that govern the states as well as the people who live in them. These laws that govern the people are known as state laws and federal laws. The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land in the United States. “It creates a federal system of government in which power is shared between the federal government and the state governments. Due to federalism, both the federal government and each of the state governments have their own court systems (Comparing
The government affects my life in countless aspects because it is ridiculously inconsistent in deciding what teenagers can and cannot do. In particular, the government is hugely inconsistent when determining when I can be an adult. The government decides that I can't buy alcohol until I'm 21, but at the same time I can put my life on the line in the military when I'm 18. If I can give my life for the government, I should be able to enter a bar. You ARE an adult when you're 18. There should not be any concessions when convenient to the government's interests. When I become an adult, I should attain all of the rights entitled to being an adult. The government decides what I learn and when I go to school with common core. This is unacceptable
Few contemporary Americans understand how our country was founded on a radical experiment with a very limited government. The Founding Fathers wanted to create a completely new relationship between the people and their government.
The Constitution of the United States’ protection of properties can be attributed to its reactionary nature: rebellion against the monarchical tenets and the taxation attacks of British government. With Adams’ and Madison’s efforts and models, the Executive Branches were formed; a checks and balances system of members elected of the people, by the people, and for the people. With the fathers’ agenda set on preventing revolution as formulated in Adams’ observation of monarchical or oligarchical governments, and the desire to own freely without governmental meddling or intervention, any accusation of the primacy of the elite as the basis of the Constitution is fouled. A person is as much a despot for being financially affluent as a poor person must be for not being so. Absolutes do not exist.
The Bill of rights and the Constitution use separation of powers, checks and balances and federalism to control the government by not abusing the power they were given along with helping each state for the best.
The Bond between Federal government and states is very obscure. In fact, the constitution, and federal papers is constructed around state and federal government. In federalist paper NO.51, founder James Madison explains how he wants a balance between government and personal liberty also how the structure should be.The topic of this entire federal paper is government overall. He believes each branch should be independent, in efforts, no branch should alone, have too much power and become powerful. “If men were angels, no government would be needed” Madison writes, meaning not selfish and/or cared just as much as they did for themselves. Having state government and federal government is an example of Madison 's desire for our nation 's proposed government. The constitution is one of the most important documents for this country. U.S constitution established america’s national government, laws and makes sure citizens have their basic rights.
The federal government and state governments have had a long history of powers struggles. The struggle goes back and forth between who has the right to make decisions and if there is a problem who should fix it. Sometimes it is better for the federal government to fix issues and during other situations it is better for the state or local governments to fix other issues. In the PBS special of the United States Constitution, Peter Sagal travels around the states documenting the various roles and impact the government has on the country as a whole and on the individual states.
Federal, state, and local government establish the laws of how we carry on with our lives and influences the decisions that protect our future. We the people must hold the different levels of government accountable when those laws or influences are not withheld. The Constitution was written to protect those that may be treated unfairly and justly. There will be issues that every level of government will agree on, but it is up to the elected officials to represent those who do not have a voice. Hydro fracking is a complicated issue that should be tackled from the lower level of government to the higher level.
The relationship between the Federal government and the states is well stable. The Federal government has powers given by the Constitution as well powers or privileges are given to the states which promotes a balance between the two so that our country is not ruled under one specific party or group. The question now is that, are the states rights more than well protected in the current constitution and the political practice.
For the last eight months I have been a student-employee at the Finch-Henry Job Corps Center in Batesville, Mississippi. Job Corps is a residential training facility funded by the United States Department of Labor and operated by MINACT, Inc. I enrolled in the program to achieve my high school diploma and skills that would help me get a good paying job. There are eight vocational trades offered at Finch-Henry. I choose the Office Assistant program because I thought it was best fit for long term goals.
As a citizen of the United States of America it is easy to get caught up with your day to day life and not realize everything going on around you. If you sit back and think about all the ways government affects you, you will be amazed. Let’s discuss our different levels of government, our federalist style of government, the pros and cons associated with our federalist style, the way government affects you daily, the private sector, as well as what things our government is involved in I feel is unnecessary.
The years 477 to 431 B.C., saw the city of Athens experiencing a huge growth in intellectual and artistic learning. This was known as the Golden Age of Athens. The Golden Age was one of the most memorable in the history of the world. This was a period that introduce drama, music, literature, architecture, art, and philosophy in Athens. It was a period categorized by such high and diverse levels of achievement that many astute intellectuals refer to the experience as “the Greek miracle”. Even those individuals who did not believe that such miracles can happen actually acknowledge that it is possible that the Greeks who were very competitive were definitely inspired on a higher level of innovation in their field by seeing the bar being raised
