First of all, let me thank you to devoting your time to the Lord’s work at the Red Hotdog Festival. My sister and I are very excited to see what the Lord will do through us all this Saturday.
• In General: • The main goal is not to evangelize, however if you have an opportunity take it. • Every child should leave the booth with a packet including: a Good News Club invitation, a Wordless Book Bracelet, and a Wordless Book Tract • If you have an opportunity to speak about Jesus and the child has either: professed faith in Jesus before or make a decision when you are talk with them, we will have follow-up growth tracts. • Literature Table: • There will be some different CEF literature about Good News Clubs as well as freebie booklets and tracts. • The main goal of this table will be to talk about Good News Clubs, we will have some materials that are used in the Clubs themselves. • There will also be a raffle - we are not looking for the children’s information, so please try to encourage the parents to sigh the kids up for the raffle.
• Face Painting: • We will have a sheet with pictures of our designs, please use only the designs on the sheet so we will be able to keep kids flowing through quickly and avoid having disjoins not everyone can do. The designs we will use are simple and most incorporate the Wordless Book colors. • We will have rubbing alcohol available - this will be used to clean the brushes in-between kids. Please remember to rinse the brushes well in water before starting with the next child. • We also will have makeup remover wipes to clean the children’s faces and bobby pins to keep hair out of faces

We understand that you have to make some profit out of this. We might see if our students might be interested in purchasing copies. We have come up with plenty of things that are
This article is about a man who murdered a store clerk in 1984 in Huntsville, Alabama. This case went through the Alabama Supreme Court and the vote was 7 to 12 not to execute him by capital punishment. However Alabama is the only state in the United States where a murder case can go to the Supreme Court and be voted on there as well. Four of the eight justices decided to let his execution stand. This vote seemed a little peculiar however due to the fact that the United States only has eight court justices at this time. The lack of the fifth deciding vote makes the decision a little harder. This article also explains past situations where the courtesy fifth vote is not present. This article talks about a case that happened previously on transgender rights. A boy from Virginia named Gavin
The toy drive will run through November 30 and there are boxes for collection in the Center for Student Involvement as well as the Business building, the Art department and the Math Department. The toys should not include weapons or violent references. This toy drive is in partnership with the Noyes Home in St.
When we think of evangelism, we tend to have a few big names, like Billy Graham, D L Moody, George Whitefield, and John Sung. Our mindset immediately goes to “They are powerful Christians used by God, but I am just a common believer”. Later we will arrive at a conclusion: I can never be good at evangelism. Gradually, we lost the courage to even trying evangelism.
Not everyone has access to a variety of lists of charities and community events to be part of. Like how for school, the National Honor Society is a reaching point or a ‘source’ to a collection of opportunities to better the community. A community contains a diversity or range of ethnicities and culture which is one value of the service clubs. By promoting
Friday, November 13th was a tragic day all over the world, but especially in Paris, France. A very anticipated soccer match between France and Germany was set to take place, and the stadium was attacked by terrorists carrying AK-47s; however, some of them had bombs strapped onto their bodies. ISIS took liability for the attacks in six different locations of the much-loved capital. Hundreds died at the soccer match along with over eighty dying at a concert hall where U2 was performing that Friday night. Also, at the concert hall, over one hundred hostages were found and brought out for safety whilst two attackers were killed at the venue.
“If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.”, says Milton Berle those words are so crucial to me because all my life I would like an opportunity like this to happen naturally, and I know it will never happen. But I CAN make it happen. I am going to build my own door and open my shell to this amazing opportunity with hard work and effort. So starting this year, I would like to run for the secretary position because I would like to gain skills to become an effective leader and become a person that members of the IMPACT Club could rely on. IMPACT Club was also the first club I ever joined. I am also very proud that I am in such a great club. I want to go an extra mile in IMPACT Club by running for an officer position. IMPACT is a diverse club
I am very excited to share something special with you. A group of second and third grade students have decided to spread holiday cheer by raising awareness for a cause of their choice. They have named December 21st the Douglas Day of Caring. During lunch that day, these students will be selling bags of popcorn for $.50 each. Any child who purchases popcorn may choose the cause their donation will benefit. A few choices will include;
I then communicated these goals to all members with the intent of strengthening the member’s interpersonal relationships. I put on various social activities which benefited the members’ relationships and I also put on activities which benefited NPHC council. And one other goal I had was that of NPHC’s campus presence. For that I collaborated events with other council members, utilizing various marketing tactics which was successful and did stimulate a greater awareness and more positive presence of NPHC’s presence on our
The LACD story was very inspirational,and it opened my eyes to different communities other than my own. The LACD Club had many activities and it helped many people become closer with each other. Many people found their friends, wives and husbands at this club. People were able to go outside of their comfort zone and follow their passions. They had activities for everyone, and that included pageants, bowling, basketball, baseball, and performances.
For individuals to “serve the common good” it is essential to put others before themselves. Individuals need to be selfless and look at their actions as they relate to the well-being of those around them. In business, it is necessary for the employees to think of the company as a whole instead of individually. If this were to be achieved, then the world would no longer face issues such as poverty and homelessness. Individuals need to learn how to be empathetic and this will translate into the business world. Currently, the world of business is strict, unforgiving, and selfish, and this is not conducive to a healthy world population. If this were to change then the common good would be CONCLUSION SENTENCE.
The “greater good” is a simple concept, yet a highly complex movement in today’s society. How can something be so simple, yet so complex all at once, and how has it become such a critical concept in today's current discussions? The greater good is a concept which arose around 400 B.C. from the teachings of ancient greek philosopher Socrates, as well as in the writings of Plato, and Aristotle. A lot of ideas have changed and evolved since then, some of which can be found in John Stuart Mill’s philosophical texts Utilitarianism and On Liberty. Utilitarianism discusses creating the greater good, while On Liberty talks about our individual freedom and how it ties into creating the greater good. Some may say that the two books contradict each other, but I say they go hand in hand. Individual freedom goes along with greater good, as it is a necessity in society in order to create the greatest good for the greatest number. Therefore making John Stuart Mill philosophically correct.
Every person is good in a activity in school. For me is sports and the sports I am good at is baseball and basketball.I haven't played in none of the teams because of my grades but when next year comes, sports it's going to be one of my priorities in school. Sports or activities in general can get you somewhere in school. There is so many activities to explore in school and some can be boring/fun so that's why people need to explore to see what they are good in. If a person is really good in a sport in school, it can lead that person to a completely different future because that person is going to be doing that sport for their rest of their life.For me, I never got into school activities until I got in the 3rd grade because I was actually
The pamphlets will be placed in common areas throughout the floor such as the bathroom stalls, the laundry room, the star case, the elevator, near the elevator button, along the walls and on the whiteboards right outside of everyone’s doors. This might seem quite overwhelming, but I can reassure you that it will be moderate and very subtle. I am placing these pamphlets where there are already pre-existing informational materials. For instance, the bathroom stalls, we have a health worker named Maria Rivera in our building that places weekly notices of health information on how to personally stay healthy here at UC Berkeley, since the first week of school. The people on my floor, myself included, read the information posted in the stall while using the restroom, so this a common occurrence. I decided to use the educational materials from Tang because they clearly address the issues that my community faces and the preceding causes as-well. Two campus resources that are already addressing the consumption of alcohol are Bear Pact and PartySafe@Cal!; these resources both help Berkeley students improve the party culture along with the social benefits by decreasing problems related to alcohol. A community resource that already addresses my health topic is The Berkeley County: Alcohol and Drug awareness program which informs people of the risks of alcohol.
Most people have fewer hours to give to time-consuming activities of clubs than they used to have, but most people in small town belong to club or two. On of clubs is likely to be social and benevolent organization, such as rotary or elks. Business people are likely to belong, also to either Kiwanis club or lions. Such business people’s organizations may meet as often as once a week in one of the private dining rooms of town’s leading hotel for lunch. They have good lunch, hear good program, and continue their fundraising program for worthy organization, such a local
