What magnificent scenery, and such a site to see. Once I laid my eyes on the pyramids I knew that my dream was coming true, and it was at that very moment. The pyramids of Egypt were built by mankind, these men used only their bare hands, stones, and copper chisels. They didn’t need a phone, computer, or a handheld tablet. They built one of the most beautiful manmade structures by pure man power. Egyptian culture is also the origin of makeup. Makeup is a hobby of mine and seeing were is comes from is astounding. Giza Necropolis in Egypt is so elegant, beautiful, and has so much history.
The Egyptian pyramids are located in the southwestern suburbs of Cairo. They stand near one of the longest rivers on earth, the Nile. The population is around 2.5 million. This makes Giza one of the highest populated cities in the Arab world. What makes it so popular are the pyramids. Most people there speak Arabic, English, and French. I read on Touropia Travel Experts that Giza was “Voted # 1 place to visit in Egypt.”
There is only one way to get there from the United States, and that’s taking a plane. According to TripAdvisor.com a round trip to Egypt and back home cost $1353. Purchase a visa

The tallest, and most important pyramid is Khufu, Khufu stands 481 feet tall. In order for it to be built in 30 years the laborers had to lay 2.5 to 15 ton blocks every 2.5 minutes. These men transported blocks that weighed over twelve ton at least 500 miles. They did not use trucks or technology. That in itself is more than a lot of people do in their entire life. I could not imagine the hard work these men went through to build their kings death palace. Khufu is one of the last Seven Wonders of the World that still stands. It stands not alone, but with two other pyramids. Those pyramids are known as Khafre which is a 471 feet tall pyramid, and Mankaure, the baby of the pyramids, stands 213 feet
Egypt is also known for its statues depicting various gods and tombs for its numerous pharaohs. Their architectural prowess is a feat marveled at even today. The ability to design and build such grand monuments such as the iconic pyramids of Giza, rivalling even the Mayan and Aztec temples of South and Central America, reveals the true nature of innovation in Egypt. In fact, even without modern tools of measurement, the Great Pyramid, the largest tomb in Egypt, is almost geometrically perfect. For such a large structure, the length of all four sides at its base differ by less than a foot (McKenty 1).
The Great Pyramid at Giza is the best known and largest of the pyramids constructed between the Third Dynasty and the Thirteenth Dynasty (2686-1650 B.C.) of Egypt 's paranoiac age. The Great Pyramid of the pharaoh Khufu or, as the Greeks referred to him, Cheops was constructed during the Fourth Dynasty, about 2,550 years before the birth of Christ. The Pyramid of Giza is a generous antiquated structure on the planet and the most baffling (Ruggles, 2015). As per winning archeological hypothesis and there is truly no proof to affirm this thought the three pyramids on the Giza level are funerary structures of three kings of the fourth dynasty.

Today is day 4, and I am in Cairo to see the pyramids which are on the west side of the Nile River.. The massive masonry structures are amazing. My home in Avon is made of about 18,000 bricks laid by my Dad, Grandfather Gene, Uncle Marvin and many masonry friends of my Dad. It took these men 3 months to lay the 8 inch brick. To see the massive stones the Egyptian placed with such precision is incredible. The Great Pyramid of Giza has 2.3 million stones and took an estimated 20,000 men 23 years to build the Giza pyramid. This man made structure has withstand the harsh weather elements for more than 3800 years. It is said that the pyramids were built for the pharaoh to walk to the Sun God.
