It is a very instrumental and uses different sounds with their voices. Giovanni composes a lot of christian music. O Magnum Mysterium is not something you would hear in Mass but music you would hear while you’re praying in a cathedral. When listening to his music you feel calm. I was transformed when listening to his music I pictured Jesus rising into heaven with angels singing around him. I think Giovanni’s music represents his childhood. The reason I think this is because he did not have any brothers or sisters so his life was probably very peaceful. His music does not make you want to dance. When I listened to it it made me want to sing a long. You don’t here any instruments in his song except the piano. Which is the only instrument played. He is portraying Jesus because of the music he composes. Giovanni composes soft music that we use to adore Jesus. His music represents a lot of things religous not just Jesus. His music represents the saints and the compassion showed for him. His music represents sadness and

Don Giovanni is a one-of-a-kind character, yet so predictable living a certain lifestyle, almost to the point of being mysterious. It is the enlightenment era however, where a lot of impossibilities were being explored, and presented to the public in different forms, including this opera, Don Giovanni. Although Don Giovanni seems like a total embodiment of immorality, he nevertheless carries some admirable principles, sparkling the enlightenment idea through the story of Don Giovanni.
Giovanni Gabrieli, the man who composed Canzon Septimi Toni a 8, was a well known Renaissance composer born in 1556. Not only that, but he was an organist and teacher who learned everything he knew from his uncle, Andrea Gabrieli, whom he has to thank for his musical upbringing. Gabrieli himself was highly regarded and praised for his contributions to instrumental music for church use as well as choral and instrumental motets. Gabrieli also made use of the San Marco church layout; the two separate choir lofts in the church allowed him to create salient spatial effects, which in turn heavily influenced his style of music. Unfortunately, his health began to suffer and
Unlike John Dunstable, there is a lot of information about his education and upbringing. (This could be attributed to the changes in technologies such as the printing press). He started his involvement with music as a choirboy in Rome. This is where he began his studies of music. He became an organist in the 1540s of his hometown outside of Rome. Palestrina’s appointments are a little hard to follow. He was the musical director of the Julian Chapel Choir at St. Peters but then became a singer for the Pontifical Choir (cite). This was after we published his first book of masses in 1554. He was also the composer of the chapel. He wrote a mass in the honor Pope who supported him. Though when Paul IV became Pope he made an order that forbids married men from serving in the Papal choir. This was a stumbling block for Palestrina because for the next five years he was a director of a small choir which stifled his compositions due to their lack of abilities and money to support the choir. When Palestrina left, this position his fame was beginning to grow. He was offered a position back in St Peters in 1571. He later became the master of music at the Vatican
Cesare Borgia was a famous politician and cardinal in Italy, but his rise to power is controversial because of the immorality that was necessary to get to that position. Cesare Borgia is mentioned many times in The Prince by Niccoló Machiavelli because of the discussion of whether it is appropriate to achieve goals by immoral means. Before passing judgment on Cesare Borgia it’s important to be aware of all the immoral actions he took over his lifetime.

Michelangelo di Lodovico Buanarroti Simoni was an Italian born sculptor, painter, architect, poet and engineer. He was born on March 6 1475 in Caprese, Italy and died February 18 1564 in Rome, Italy. His most famous works of art
Giving Character's character is one of the most interesting challenges in operatic composition; another is composing for all the specific characters. A composer has to distinguish between characters through his music. Jan can't sound like Fran, and Dan can't sound like Stan. Each character must have his/her own traits. Mozart's opera, Don Giovanni, provides us with many different characters to compare and contrast.
Alessandro Filipepi most commonly known as Sandro Botticelli was born in Florence, Italy around 1445. To many, this may seem highly disrespectful. But Giovanni hardly tries to disrespect anyone's religious beliefs in this poem. Instead, she tries to tell her readers how she views herself as her own God. This is also made evident when she says “I turned myself into myself and/ was jesus”(30, 31). Giovanni’s failure to capitalise the first letter in the name of the son of God seems very disrespectful especially to christians but once again, Giovanni does not seek to disrespect anyone's faith, but tries to encourage her readers to search deep within themselves and discover that they are their own saviors or their own messiahs. Giovanni is has set herself free from all the chains of religion. She does not allow religion dictate to her what she should accept as good or bad. This message was very important at the time Giovanni penned
Giovanni is recounting what she’s had to do time and time again and the tone of the poem is one of frustration; frustration with the idea that, as a child, she was given the responsibility to surveil her father, yet without any means of action to curtail the violence that ensues. Giovanni goes so far to even describe herself as “[I am] the silent film (100)” to highlight that, while she may be watching, she is incapable of changing the circumstance because her voice would likely be silenced as “What goes on/In our house/Stays/In our house (Giovanni 100).” Her frustration with her inability to act is also a direct analogy to her frustration with the government’s lack of engagement in her family’s
Michelangelo Di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni was the full name of the famous artist we all call by just his first name Michelangelo. Michelangelo was born on March 6th, 1475 in Caprese, Italy and lived with his parents and four siblings. Michelangelo's mother became sick when he was an infant and he was raised by a wet nurse. In Michelangelo's teen years he would leave school early and go to the church to watch the painted while they worked; his family started to see him as a disgrace as they didn’t see art as a profession he should join(Michelangelo). As he became older he worked more and more with stone over any other type of art and made
The cello and organ provide the basso continuo, following the figured bass. The modulation in bar 10 to A major ends in a V7 - I, providing strength to the piece. This differs from Sonata pian’e forte which is in the Dorian mode with lots of root position chords (bar 1 and 2) and suspensions (bar 3). The melody is mostly stepwise and the tierce de Picarrdie in bar 4 gives a sense of balanced phrasing. This is felt again in bar 8, due to the consonant 4th. The modal harmony in bar 13 creates an imperfect cadence to mark the end of the A1 section. An interesting phrygian cadence (IVb - V) is used in bar 16 leads into a short circle of 5ths (bar 17) and then a perfect cadence in F major with a 4-3 suspension (bar 20). This ‘busy-ness’ before cadences was not uncommon, due to the very expressive works that were composed in this era.
