History Essay George Washington was the president that left the biggest impact on America because he was the first, so he set many precedents. George Washington was loved by the people of America. “First in the hearts of his countrymen.” (Document 1)

George Washington is regarded as a natural leader and the father of our country. He was the first president under the Constitution, not the first president of the United States. From the very beginning, he came into a job full of problems and a mile long to-do list. He had to set up the Judiciary Branch, deal with uprisings and conflicts between the natives and the western settlers, and try to keep together a nation that was falling apart. He created a group of advisors (the cabinet) to help him with certain issues. He had a few things on his mind at the time such as: stay out of a war, build up revenue to pay off Revolutionary War debt, and try to make peace with England.

George Washington was born is born to Augustine and Mary on February 22 1732. He was raised in Westmoreland County, Virginia in care of a wealthy family. George had 6 siblings, four younger and two older. George lived on Ferry Farm with his family with his father being a politician and mother helping around the house with other indentured servants. When George reached his late years of his childhood disasters struck the Washington household. On Christmas Eve of “1740”, a fire burned the inside of the house on Ferry Farm, then a couple years later Augustine Washington died. They still lived on the farm and worked on the plantations with slaves.

Before I answer the questions posed, I believe an explanation is owed regarding this request for admission into Saybrook. I originally applied to The Chicago School of Professional Psychology seeking a degree in business psychology. Since the program was not ready to start for another year, it was suggested that I take courses in the international psychology program. I thoroughly enjoyed this new experience with an opportunity to “think global”. I optioned to remain in this program with a concentration in organizations and systems. As I sojourned through, I was always aware that there was still something missing. Although I loved being part of the IP program, my roots are deeply entrenched in the world of organizational development (OD).

The United States presidency started when we gained our freedom from the British in the Revolutionary War. The Americans fought for their freedom for about 7 years. They stayed determined and persevered through the war. And one man helped them to do just that. His name is George Washington. Not only was he the first president of the United States, but he was also a general who helped the 13 colonies to gain their freedom. He was also one of the founding fathers, one of the men who established this country, the United States of America. Before, during, and after his presidency shows that he was the best U.S. president. Online classes and the traditional classroom setting both offer many of the same advantages. They both provide the student with the same course content so there is no loss of curriculum between the two. Both demand the same time investment for learning, studying, taking exams, completing papers, and so on. Although it seems easy to think that with doing all of your school work online there isn’t any personal interaction with professors and peers, however, that is a common misconception. Online classes, like traditional ones, require a degree of contact with your peers and professors. It may not be as personal interaction as raising your hand and being called on, but you can e-mail your professor at any time and there are discussion boards and forums available for fellow students to communicate and help each other out.

Throughout my entire life, I have always been one to constantly push myself and pursue new challenges. In high school, I excelled academically while also being a three-sport athlete, a member of the National Honor Society, and held an active presence in my community. In the classroom, for as long as I can remember, I’ve been intellectually curious and fascinated with solving problems through quantitative reasoning. The desire to continue my education in a quantitative field and gain important soft skills, while also boasting the ability to be involved in many extracurriculars led me to pursue a degree in economics from DePauw University. In a constantly changing industry such as finance, it is imperative that one is able to adapt quickly and think outside of the box, and DePauw has prepared me to do just that. I

Students who are prone to procrastination will have a difficult time adjusting to online classes. Hours of work are necessary to get through all of the materials, including course lectures, educational videos, assignments, projects, assigned textbook reading and discussions. For students who are getting an online degree, especially an online master’s degree, require a greater amount of work.

Students are required to learn massive amounts of course material. It is mandatory to learn at the instructor’s pace. Online courses give flexibility while scheduling to learn this material. Students are overwhelmed with homework throughout the duration of each class. Some have up to four classes of homework due weekly. It can be difficult for many to absorb all the material while scheduling work and home life. Trying to arrange the balance of each can be tiring for the body and mind. When taking online classes, there is an advantage to have the capability to learn the subject when the brain and body are ready to handle it. This flexibility can give the benefit of the full focus on schoolwork. On-campus classes give the benefit of help on the spot when needed, but students that take a
