This is my character narrative for George Washington. In this essay I will be covering his childhood, his family, what he is known for and his most notable achievements. I will also be talking about the modern day version of George Washington. I will picking someone who has the same personality, and maybe someone who has similar achievements, and lifestyle.

George Washington’s two most valuable achievements are first that he led the colonists to victory against the British in the Revolutionary War. George Washington is one of the seven founding fathers of the United States of America. The second most notable achievement that George Washington is known for is being the First President of The United States Of America. He served two terms as president from 1789 to 1797. On june 19 1775 George Washington was asked to become leader of the Continental Army. He was offered to be leader because of his military experience.The next accomplishment that George Washington achieved is creating the United States cabinet, and also the Executive branch.The last and final biggest achievement that George Washington is known for is being elected to be a delegate for the first Continental Congress. The Continental Congress was used as a government system for The United States Of America .George Washington had many great achievements during his lifetime, but sadly George Washington died of acute laryngitis he was living in his home in Mount Vernon Virginia. At the age of 15, Washington took a job as an assistant land surveyor. In 1748, he began working in the Shanandoah Valley to help survey the land holdings of Lord Fairfax. By 1749, he established a good reputation as a land surveyor and was appointed Culpeper counties official land surveyor.
Everyone knows George Washington as the first president, but most people do not know his other roles in the creation of the United States of America. In Joseph J. Ellis’s book, His Excellency George Washington, Ellis tells about Washington’s life. He includes his time as a general in the Revolutionary War, his life in retirement after the war, and also his time as the president. Ellis’s main focus in the book is to paint a picture for the reader so it almost feels like they are right next to Washington as his life is explained. The information in his book allows for readers to have a better understanding of what Washington went through in his life and also ,at times, gives educated guesses on what Washington might have been thinking. Through this book, it is easy to see why George Washington is referred to as one of the greatest Americans to ever live.

George Washington became the first president of the United States soon after winning the war against Great Britain, America becoming the first independent 13 colonies. Since the beginning of his presidency people trusted him, being the one who led the country to victory as the General, contributed to people having faith in him. It states in the book that he chose the Country’s well-being before his own and often made decision following his gut, “he took pains to elevate the public good over private interest and projected honesty and honor over ambition.”(Johnson) Washington took great responsibility and honor of the New build Nation, he didn’t take matters lightly choosing what was best for his country. George Washington was one of the most skilled, and maybe the best person that could have held the title of founder of the United States of American. He had the capabilities of representing his people on the Continental Congress, the intelligence to flip his misfortunes to his victories on many battles against the British and on his personal life, the generosity of believing in people that were ignored or discriminated by society and more remarkably, the bravery needed to act against the laws and even risk his own life on several occasions for the liberty of his people, among many other aspects that makes him one of the most studied historical characters and sources of inspiration.

Myths are taught to us from a young age about how the very first president had wooden teeth, and that he was somehow so pure that he could not tell a lie, and that he had such magnificent upper body strength that he threw a silver dollar across the Pontiac. George Washington was both an experienced military leader and a strong political leader, but in which field did he have the most impact?
