He was out horseback riding to check on the farm work and it started to rain. In the morning he woke up with a sore throat and the next day he woke up at two in the morning with discomfort. His wife was really concerned so she wanted to get him help but he wouldn’t let her anywhere towards him. Because Martha couldn’t go in the room she had Tobias Lear go and check on him. When he went in the room he found George laying in his bed having trouble breathing so he called the family doctor. Martha got so concerned again that she had another doctor come in and help. When the seconded doctor didnt arrive they had a third doctor come. George knew he was going to die so he said goodbye to everyone and between ten and eleven o’clock at night on December 14, 1799 George Washington died.

George Washington was one of the most skilled, and maybe the best person that could have held the title of founder of the United States of American. He had the capabilities of representing his people on the Continental Congress, the intelligence to flip his misfortunes to his victories on many battles against the British and on his personal life, the generosity of believing in people that were ignored or discriminated by society and more remarkably, the bravery needed to act against the laws and even risk his own life on several occasions for the liberty of his people, among many other aspects that makes him one of the most studied historical characters and sources of inspiration.
George later went to college in an all white school, this was a big accomplishment seeing that he was the 1st african american to attend & graduated. Then his career took off. George had became a scientists and studied plant biology. He made walls and paper out of nuts. Later on he discovered a way to help farmers in harsh climates to help them grow their crops. He was the eldest of six children and was homeschooled. They lived in Westmoreland County, Virginia and his family was in the ranking of Virginia’s middle class. When he was eleven years old, his father died. When George was 16, he journeyed with a surveying group mapping land in the western territory of Virginia for two whole years in 1748. He married Martha Washington in 1759. Later on, his brother Lawrence died leaving George with his estate, Mount Vernon. Washington became very involved and successful with farming on his estate. As time passes by, Washington becomes a colonel to a Major General and Commander-in-Chief. George Washington was a leader of the Continental Army in the American Revolution, and was the first to become U.S. president. He was the first President who had joined in military and fought for civil right and fought for the constitution and human right for all men; in another, he have manage the politician and fought for the Revolution with the military of U.S. as a soldier. The day before this tragedy, Washington had been riding around his farm supervising things, even though it was not the most ideal weather for horseback riding. There had been slight snow, hail, and rain through-out the day, way before Washington went about his business. He knew it was not the best of ideas, but obviously did not think much of it. Washington awoke the next day complaining about feeling rather unpleasant. Despite his better judgment and his wife’s advice, he went out the next day to mark some trees for clearing/fire wood between his mansion and the Potomac River. Later that evening he awoke in the middle of the night due to difficulty breathing. Despite having three of the best doctors of the time fighting for his survival, George passed away between 10pm-11pm that night. Most people agree that this is one of the more peaceful ways Washington could have died. Dying at home with his family is absolutely better than dying in battle away from his loved ones.
