George W. Bush; are his lies blowing up in his face? On September 11, 2001, the United States of America faced its biggest attack in history, two commercial airlines flew into the World Trade Center in New York City, and another plane flew into the Pentagon in Washington D.C. But during these attacks, our Command-in-Chief George W. Bush was not protecting himself from harm, he was in Sarasota, Florida reading about goats. The people of America question is Bush and his staff should be held accountable for these attacks. As Bush did not act as any other president would, he continued to read “The Pet Goat” instead of making an attempt to protect himself, as if nothing was happening. But on the other hand, there are reason to believe that President Bush was not informed about the warnings and threat and that he was practically blindfolded until the time off the attack, and that the attack was planned and …show more content…
In late July 2001, Afghanistan’s foreign minister Wakill Ahmed Muttawakill learned that `Osama bin Laden` was planning a huge attack against America. The attack was going to be imminent, and would kill thousands, he learned from the leader of the rebel Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, which was closely allied with al-Qaeda at the time[History Commons, 1]. In 1999, British intelligence gave a secret report to the US embassy. The report stated that al-Qaeda had plans to use commercial aircraft as possible flying bombs[2]. Five days before 9/11, the priest Jean-Marie Benjamin was told by a Muslim at a Italian wedding of a plot to attack the US and Britain using hijacked airplanes as weapons. He was not told time or place specifics. He immediately passed what he knew on to a judge and several politicians in Italy. These warnings should have been taken more seriously, if they had been things might have been
It was a clear Tuesday morning; September 11, 2001, nineteen Islamic terrorists from Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations boarded four fully fueled American airliners. These airliners were set to depart to cities in California. Little did the staff for each of the planes or the people boarding them know that plans had changed. Within the space of an hour, al Qaeda
The intelligence community knew that Osama bin Laden had threatened to “cut off the head of the serpent” (the US) and cause mass casualties; it also knew that Bin Laden was planning to do something with aircrafts. An FBI field office knew that several pilots were in training, but didn’t seem to piece it all together (Simonsen & Spindlove, 2013, Pg. 69) However, the past “Dots” lead to a buildup by internationalized terror fanatics from the Islamic world, with serious planning for perpetrating attacks against the U.S. The U.S. had no idea that the attackers were actually being flight trained in Florida and the U.S. were
9/11 was a very drastic man made disaster that affected a lot of citizens. The who was involved was New York in this terrible calamity. About 2,996 people were injured in 9/11. What happened was islamist hijacked four planes that were flying above New York. Two of these planes were flown into the twin towers. Everything was in fat destroyed. There was a very big change in the big apple.
Beginning in 2001 Intelligence about the impending nature of an attack was increasing, not only from US Intelligence sources but also from 11 other countries such as Britain, Israel, India, Egypt, Morocco and even a top Taliban commander from Afghanistan (Thompson.) Beginning in August warnings become coming in from everywhere, foreign governments, CIA and FBI sources and so on however, next to none of this information was shared between the many intelligence agencies. In April, NORAD launched a training scenario in which the pentagon was to be incapacitated by a hijacked airliner however the Joint Chiefs of Staff disregarded the scenario as “too unrealistic” (September 11 attacks advance-knowledge debate.) On august 19th the Israeli’s gave US intelligence personnel credible information including, the list of 19 suspected terrorist’s names and the fact that a large aircraft would be the primary weapon involved. The names were not shared by the CIA with other intelligence agencies (Robinson.)
On September 11th 2001, the United States was hit with a devastating blow when four commercial airplanes were hijacked by Al-Qaeda terrorist who deliberately crashed two of the planes into the World Trade Center complex, and a third plane into the Pentagon. The fourth plane, headed for Washington D.C., instead crashed in Pennsylvania. Nearly 3,000 lives were lost on this egregious day. In response, President George W. Bush waged the controversial “Global War on Terrorism” which turned out to be a self-inflicted wound for America, bleeding still today. Bush’s highly-criticized decision was inconsistent with the strategic principles of war.
September 11, 2001 is one of the most infamous dates in American history. On this day, 19 radicalized Islamic militants hijacked four United States-based airplanes. Two of the planes were flown into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. Thousands of first responders, occupants of the Towers and bystanders were killed or injured. The third plane flew into the Pentagon in Washington D.C. and 125 people were killed. The passengers on the fourth plane revolted and forced the hijackers to crash into a field in Stony Creek, Pennsylvania. A total of 3,000 people were killed and over 6,000 were injured that day (“9/11 Attacks” 1). After the most detrimental terrorist attack in the history of the United States, action needed to
The final aspect of why these three events did not have as much of an influence on America is because these things all happened with a short amount of time within each other, and they are actually closely related to one another. A theory that was widely believed after WWII called the “Domino Theory”, was the belief that if one country fell to communism, then the surrounding countries would also fall to communism until there was basically a communistic wave that would clash with the democratic island of America. And in a world torn by a massive war after the 1940s, where the democratic United states and the communist Soviet Union emerged as the superpowers, this domino effect was becoming a terrifying reality. The Truman
The eleventh of september 2001 is a date that american citizens will never forget. On this day a horrific event that affected the lives of many, if not all, united states citizens resulting in about 3,000 deaths and numerous injuries took place. After the devastating attacks on this nation, people 's cry for truth and justice was heard loud and clear by the president of that time. Yet in response he perceived destroying valuable evidence as giving the truth, plus, a devastating-pointless war with Iraq as Justice. These are just a few things president George Bush did to hide the fabrications in his story about the air attacks on the tallest buildings in the world. However, as we find out more about that day, and uncover more of his lies, we can only draw one conclusion. Americas very own forty-third president, George W Bush is responsible for the multiple attacks on september eleventh.

I do understand where people could compare those two events by death totals and how they both came out of nowhere but I don think there are exactly the same. 9/11 had much more of an impact on our contry,it hurt us emotionally economically and "physically" but it brought us together and helped us fight for the greater cause,Yellow fever did not do that
September 11, 2001 (herein referred to as 9/11) was a day in American history, which will be remembered as the most horrific attack on American soil. This attack, carried out by nineteen Islamic extremists, was associated with al-Qaeda, and involved the hijacking of four airplanes. Two of those airplanes were hijacked and flown directly into the World Trade Center in New York City, New York. The third plane’s target was the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and the fourth plane was brought down in Pennsylvania where it is believed the passengers aboard fought the hijackers. This horrific day in history cost over 3,000 people their lives, and was labeled the worst attack on American soil since the attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II.
I know Jordan was deeply impacted by the events of 9/11 where as I was more influenced by everything that followed. The Toledo Blade printed American Flags with patriotic song lyrics on the back that we hung in our front window for years. Patriotism was everywhere that you looked, even though we were a nation that was healing we knew how to lift each other up. Then it all changed, the flags started to disappear and people started to hate anyone who might slightly look like a terrorist. The war waged on with no end in sight and everyone seems to be sick of what America has become. Instead of banning together with patriotism we are offended by everything and anything. We now turn entire groups and races into villains based off of one person's
On September 11, 2001, the United States witnessed horrific attacks of terrorism better known as “9/11.” On the morning of 9/11, a terrorist organization known as Al Qaeda, hijacked four different commercial planes; two of them attacking the Twin Towers in New York City, one of them attacking the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and one of them crashing onto a rural field of Pennsylvania. Over 3,000 people were killed in these attacks, making it the largest terrorist attack in US history. As soon as these attacks occurred, US citizens concerned and feared for their safety, and questioned President Bush’s leadership. There were people who believed in Bush’s leadership, and there were people who blamed Bush for the attacks of 9/11.
The events surrounding the September 11 attacks on the United States of America have often been shrouded in a cloud of controversy and mystery, with no one individual seemingly able to apprehend the “true” details of the terror attack. Many proposed theories have been brought forth, the most widely accepted being that of co-ordinated attacks by terrorist organisation “Al-Qaeda”. “9/11”, as the event is commonly known, is simply one of many global terrorism attacks that have seemingly consumed the contemporary world. Thus, it is up to the acts and responsibilities of governments and legal organisations to undertake action in attempt to achieve justice and equality throughout the world, ensuring the safety of all people. Although, it is
President George Bush had only been president for eight months prior to the 9/11 attacks. Having to take on such a huge responsibility such as dealing with the attacks was very overwhelming, especially after his month long vacation in his home town of Texas. He came back soon to figure out that the one event would define his entire presidency. Following these horrific acts, many changes were made to the United States; most of them were the ones he had claimed to do in his memorable speech that unfortunate night. He tells the country that “Our military is powerful and it’s prepared” (Bush, paragraph 9)
