If you go to GCA or GCMS we have a little something called the GCCS dress code. See this along with Discipline and Keeping it Fresh Dress code is one of the most important rules that our schools have. This rule is here to make sure everyone has a pleasant and appropriate learning and social environment. After going to elementary school and having uniforms it's not fun, it feels like you can't express yourself. Once you enter middle school you get to step into your comfort zone and wear what you want. You get to go to your friends and strut your stuff down the halls. AS LONG AS it's in the guide line of the code. When you dress just remember it's for success. There is a lot of kids that come into this school and ask why do we have …show more content…

Wow, that was a lot of rules for dress code and to be prepared for school. Anything that says prohibited in the dress code by the school. You can and should not wear to school, unless you want to meet with the principals in the office. While you are up hear you will be required to rent and wear a school provided shirt, belt, or shoes or be placed in an alternative educational setting until an appropriate change of clothing or shoes can be provided. So make sure to look good and trendy in your new middle school, but make sure to stay out of trouble with the dress
Marble Falls Middle School’s dress code is strict but it isn’t always that bad. Students have gotten in trouble multiple times this year because of breaking dress code. The most common infractions include: wearing jeans with holes, not having long enough shirts for leggings and having too many piercings.
The prominent reason behind the various overdone school rules regarding dress is the loose power that administrators have been given. They have been “reserve[d] the right to determine if a clothing item or accessory is appropriate for school” (Carroll High School Student Handbook 2010-2011 18). The officials at school are using their own personal opinions to judge the students’ dress. Since styles change as time goes on, the generation in control and the
Rocky Mountain Middle School’s rules for dress code is no clothing that shows excessive exposure of skin, clothing that shows gang, drug, violence, etc. are not allowed and no head wear. Also no tight clothing. So many students break the dress code and get away with it or if they do get in trouble they just do it again. If the school were to wear uniforms there wouldn’t be as many dress code violations. There also wouldn’t be as much gang violence or bullying.
The media is lying to our faces while pushing their own opinions onto the groups that they have influence over. This statement might sound insane but an overwhelming number of Americans believe that the media is not being completely honest with the information that they are reporting. Media bias may not seem like a hard-hitting issue but it can become extremely dangerous in the right circumstances. Media bias becomes a dangerous weapon when politicians use it as a tactic to get the upper hand in a situation. Often, this situation involves the presidential elections and other high ranking official elections. In almost every presidential election there are reports where party officials often accuse certain networks of favoritism towards one party
Many districts have dress codes. Marlowe Middle School, a school in Illinois with grades 6-8 have a dress code says "It is acceptable to wear shorts, skirts, or dresses that are worn and kept at the waist, that are free from writing across the seat and preferably extend to the knees, but minimally reach the tip of the longest finger while the arm is extended at the side." Most of the shorts that guys wear are way long enough. The student handbook also states that "Our dress code is designed to eliminate distractions to staff, students, or other visitors that make up our school community while allowing for student comfort by promoting an environment this is conducive to
Dress codes is a standard of clothing for school, office, club, or restaurant. Schools have dress codes to promote professionalism and a distraction-free learning environment. More standards of dressings are set in place for girls than males. This causes an unequal amount of bias towards women and sexism to occur in the dress code.
Many schools enforce very strict or very lenient dress codes depending on the type of school and its location. For example middle schools will have a stricter dress code like no abnormal colored hair
Most schools have dress codes in place within reason: no crop tops, no short shorts, and no provocative clothing. Sometimes, the school's expectations of clothing cross the line. Some schools say that girls who wear leggings without a long shirt or a shirt that "doesn't fit them right" should have to change. Not every person
The scaffold scene at the beginning of the novel is the first significant setting that is present in The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Our group decided to recreate the scaffold scene from chapters 2 and 3 because it presented a very powerful introduction to this old English book. This scene is pivotal in understanding the rest of the novel. This is the first time that the readers learn about Hester standing on the scaffold and being taunted by her letter “A” on her bosom, as people from her community scorn her and use her sin as a moral lesson. In order to construct this scene, our group used numerous materials: popsicle sticks, toothpicks, clay, paint, Styrofoam, paper, cardboard, fake moss, felt, and a string. With all of these materials, we were able to re-enact the scaffold setting. The people were created with the toothpicks, clay, paint, and for Hester, the red paint. The letter “A” was created using the red paint because it has to be noticeably apparent compared to the rest of her dim, beige clothing.
Yes we have a dress code, you have to follow it. One thing I would like to change about the dress code is the policy on hoodies. Hoodies should be allowed because they are comfortable, they help students stay warm in cold classrooms, and they are sewed into mady modern shirts.
Young girls across the world are constantly being sexualized and told to cover up their bodies. Girls starting from middle school through high school are told to meet ridiculous standards that are required to be appropriate to attend public school. Girls who are forced to change or go home based on these absurd demands are being told that putting their education on pause, is more important that being comfortable in their clothes they are wearing. A boys wears a shirt to school with a bikini model on it, and nothing is said. A girl wears a tanktop on a 90 degree day, and she is pulled out of class. Standards like this are interrupting the education of many young women across the world, and they need to be stopped. Ruining self esteem for
How many times have you heard of a child being sent home due to their outfit? In so many towns and cities there is ridiculous dress codes. Most of the dress codes are directed towards females. These rules somewhat make them feel as if they have to hid their bodies so they won’t distract men. High school dress codes are detrimental to all student’s confidence outside and inside the classroom.
Maddi Strine Dress Code Realities A high school dress code defines how a student can have the ability to express themselves for four integral years of their lives. The dress code body shames girls, makes them aware that their education is worth less than boys on the occasion of when they are “too distracting” for them to remain in class, and implements rape culture creating an adverse effect on women. To start off, the shame girls feels on the occasion of when they are told that their bodies are too provocative to wear the clothes that don’t fit within the, potentially strict, dress code can make them feel as if they can’t express themselves properly. In some schools, the girls have been reportedly forced into “[flapping] their arms up and down while the attire were being inspected”.
Wouldn’t you appreciate that your children always know what to wear for school? School uniform is what makes it easy! A set of clothing that is mainly worn, school uniform is one of the school's policy and recommendation. Generally worn in elementary and middle school, this outfit is composed of specific colors of long or short pants and shirts for boys, sometimes with a tie. Girls usually wear a dress or a blouse worn either with a skirt or pants, all however have the same colors. This dress code determines even the type of shoes that should be worn at school. School uniform may vary from school to school, but it remains the basis dress code for the education system. The adoption of school extensive uniform mandatory has been encouraged
HIV and AIDS has not only physical effects on the body, but social effects as well. People infected HIV and AIDs have different experiences of the world, compared to others infected by other illnesses. People living with HIV or AIDs have different social lives due to the stigma attached to these diseases, which in turn affects their mental health. People infected with HIV/AIDs are at higher risk of mental disorders, because of the stigma attached, as well as social isolation.
