Same sex marriage has been broadly debated in countless countries for a long time. It is a major issue because it deals with moral and human rights. A gay person has the right to do anything that a heterosexual person has the right to do. Who deemed one sexuality greater than the other? Love is love and a person should never be penalized for who he or she loves President (Obama Supports Same-Sex Marriage).
Same-sex couples should have admission to the same assistances enjoyed by heterosexual married couples. It is not morally right to make a person feel less than because he or she loves different. Homosexuality is so much more about love and affection than it is about sex. Sex, in any devoted relationship, is a means of showing love. This is true no matter if it is in a heterosexual or homosexual relationship. Being gay shows who that person is and forms

The amendment plainly defends the right of religious freedom, it also states that the Bible has no relevance in
American law. Religion should not be the foundation for our country's laws. Nevertheless, the majority of people against gay marriage are trying to enforce their religious beliefs onto others and verbalize those beliefs into laws. One should agree that under the First
Amendment no one has the right to enforce rules, beliefs, or opinions, on anyone else simply because they identify a moral problem with the Bible. The majority of people believe marriage is between one woman and one man. Their outlook is that a marriage should be between members of the opposite sex. They also believes that same-sex marriage would threaten the institution of marriage. However that argument has no factual evidence to help the claim. How does allowing a person to marry threaten marriage? Why is the straight society only given the right to marry? Who defines
?Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise
While writing the constitution the founding fathers said “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” When they said this they
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
When talking about the First Amendment, the law protects us from freedom of speech and free exercise of religion and it also stops Congress from making any new law to prohibit free speech and free exercise. The case involving a Christian printer who refused to print gay pride T-shirts. The printer declined the printing job for T-shirts promoting a gay pride festival on religious grounds, but he did offer the customer to help them find other local printers to do the work for the same price. Based on the information that was provided the printer had a history of rejecting other orders for shirts promoting sexually explicit material/actions and violence.

The first part of that amendment is the result of the Founding Fathers’ experience with the long history of religious strife in Europe such as the French Wars of Religion, the Thirty Years’ War, and the Crusades. They realized that religious disagreement can be counterproductive and create setbacks in politics. It would be even worse if one religious group was favored. So, they ensured that the federal government cannot interfere in the citizen's personal
freedom of an individual. This amendment protects how you can choose your own religion based
The First Amendment states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Every single person in the United States have the right to express their religion of preference or no religion at all, however him or her wants without offending anybody, and the best way to protect religion’s liberty was by keeping the government out if it and creating this First Amendment freedom of religion, to separate the church from the state.
It also states that no law should be made against religious establishments, practices, or beliefs. It is probably not a coincidence that this is the first amendment to the Constitution. The founding fathers new the importance of religious tolerance and the separation of church and state. They did not want the new America to become a religious government, like the English monarchy. Every person wants their rights protected and upheld; unfortunately, this is not occurring for those of non-secular beliefs.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceable to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” (Amendment I, The Constitution of the United States of America)

Gay marriage is one of the most controversial topics being discussed in America today. Today in America, Christians feel like that because the bible states that homosexuality is a sin and then it should be illegal. A few states have taken the first step and started to accept the marriage of same sex marriage. I Believe that the government has no right to tell people if they can or cannot get married. Their choices doesn’t have any thing to with security or credibility of the nation , and it does nothing to affect
When America was created there was always supposed to be a separation between church and state so that no one would be denied their rights based on a religion they may or may not believe in. Also marriage is a basic human right, the definition of marriage is a “The formal union of a man and a woman, typically recognized by law, by which they become husband and wife” (Oxford Dictionary). The definition states that it is typically recognized by law which brings up the question that aren’t church and state supposed to be separated if so then why is gay marriage illegal in many parts of the world? I’ll tell you why because many other countries don’t separate Church and State. That will be the first step to fixing the first problem and this whole social justice issue in the first place.
