Gay No More – Rapper Overcomes Same-sex Attraction
One argument for gay marriage and the support of gay lifestyles is that homosexuals cannot help who they are since they were born that way. We should not judge their sex choices any more than someone's skin color. The Bible does not agree. It says that we are all born with the propensity to sin and we need to fight against it. Some face a desire to steal, some to lie, some to kill, and others to sin sexually.
Jackie Hill-Perry was a lesbian. She is now a Christian rapper who says that "church leaders who were ministering to her did not isolate her sexuality from the rest of her, but instead treated her as a whole person." She realized that she was not just a great person with one thing that was wrong, but that she was a spiritual being with a whole lot of sin in her body. According to Hill-Perry, it wasn't just homosexuality, it was “hatred, bitterness, laziness, gluttony, lack of stewardship, pride.”

She is now married to another music artist, Preston Perry, and has a daughter.
“When I was able to see that all of me needed Jesus, all of me needed to be whole, and all of me needed to be disciplined, that's what helped me. Because it kind of humbles you where [I said] 'I'm real messed up because it's not this one little fraction of me. It's all of me.' And I'm able to really crawl to Jesus and know He can fix me."
Hill-Perry believes that Christians must hold true to the Bible – all of it – if we are to believe it is God-inspired as it claims to be. “I think we've made God very little if we believe that he cannot change people. If he can make a moon, stars and a galaxy that we have yet to fully comprehend, how can he not simply change my
In this day in age we are meant to live a life that makes us happy. In some cases some are not living the life they want to live due to fear of being discriminated against. Some are just in a state of confusion as to where they feel their life will end up so they just keep quiet and live their life in the closet. While some do not care and just live their life to the fullest with no regrets. Here I will be speaking about marriage equality and how it has made an impact on people, and how it has taking a toll on the US in general.
Since Ellen became the first television show to have a gay leading character, other programs such as Spin City, ER, Dawson’s Creek, Queer as Folk, and Oz were/are all big hits and, equally, they all dealt with homosexuals/homosexuality (Fisher, 2007). In addition to consistent media depiction, movie stars, A-list celebrities, music artists, and even Hollywood’s “it-girls” have also helped to shape the mode of comfort with homosexuality through their real-life experiences. Lindsay Lohan (bi-sexual), Angelina Jolie (bi-sexual), Elton
Who is Edgar Allan Poe, truly? Edgar Allan Poe, a man known for his riveting thrillers, a sense of dread lurking in every book he has written, the ink staring up with a delicate eeriness and the pages full of trapped nightmares. Edgar Allan Poe is a man that many imagine to loom in decrepit graveyards, own neglected manors with an overwhelming dead aura about them, and speak to crows whose squawk forces a chill to run down your spine. Many hear of him, a shiver immediately crawling down their bony back at the thought of such a poet, however they never have thought of where he truly came from, nor do they envision his past. Edgar Allan Poe literature full of sorrow and despair was sadly inspired by his life.
You walk into class and see "pop quiz" written on the board. Everyone sits down and the bell rings for class to begin. The teacher makes an announcement and says 'everyone that is failing my class does not have to take this quiz everyone else grab your pencils.' How do the rest of you feel? How is that fair? How does a grade make me different from the other people? You probably feel discriminated. How does a grade decipher what I get and don't get in life? So how should a gender decipher who you can and can't get married too? Same sex marriage has been illegal in many states for awhile now. Very few states have legalized it. Many many people believe it is not right. Then you have the other people that believe gender should

United States is a country where every citizen has an equal right to be free and everyone is treated equal without looking at the race, gender, or the class of a citizen. Even though we live in a free country where everyone has equal rights, there is still a debate going on whether same-sex marriage should be allowed. Gay marriage has been an issue in the United States since the early 1970s. In the 1970 case of Baker v. Nelson, two men named Richard Baker and James McConnell were denied a marriage license by the Hennepin County District Court's clerk in Minnesota. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled the case in favor of the county clerk saying that the clerk has the right to decline a marriage license to gay couples. Gay marriage became an issue in California when Proposition 8 was passed in the November 2008 elections. Proposition eight stated that "only marriage
In the present time, marriage between two people of the same sex is legal in 37 states and the District of Columbia. During the course of the United States’ history, people have fought discrimination. People has battled to recognize equality for racial minorities, women, people with disabilities, and immigrants. As a result, denying some people, the option to marry due to their sexual orientation is discriminatory and creates the idea of a second of class citizens. I am pro-gay marriage not only for what I have stated before but also for the following disclosure.
Same-sex marriage good, or same-sex marriage bad? Marriage, also called matrimony or wedlock, is a socially or ritually recognized union between spouses that establishes rights and obligations between them, between them and their children, and between them and their in-laws. For thousands of years, law and custom enforced the subordination of wives to husbands. But as the women's-rights movement gained strength in the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries, wives slowly began to insist on being regarded as their husbands' equals, rather than their property. The movement to obtain civil marriage rights and benefits for same-sex couples in the United States began in the 1970s. On June twenty-sixth, 2015 same sex-marriage became legal. Now, same-sex marriage rejects the natural law created by God. This, along with many other reasons is why same-sex marriage should not be legalized because, God created men and women and by this he established the first coherence of marriage, traditionally marriage has been between a man and a
The concept of marriage has been around for thousands of years. Marriage is the conjoining of two people who love each other. People get married because they love the other person and can see themselves living together for the rest of their lives. Marriage has always been between man and woman. However, now days people in the same sex want to get married. People do not know what to think about gay marriage, which is why it is a controversial subject in today's culture. People can not quite understand it because marriage between man and women had been happening for years. People don't what to think because opposite sex marriage had been working for so long. So why change something that works just fine? The
Marriage is usually defined as the formal union between a man and a woman. That definition may need some adjustments though. The nation wide debate on wether gay marriage should be legalized or not has stirred for a while now. However, the Supreme Court ruled in late June that same-sex marriage is now perfectly legal. Ever since this ruling there have many people who are outraged with the Supreme Court's decision. Usually, it is because it's agianst their religion, or they don't think it's natural. I am not one of those people. I believe that it was right for gay marriage to be legalized, because same-sex couples should have the same rights as heterosexual couples, gay marriage has already become a reality, and gay marriage does not affect heterosexual couples.
As the fight for equal rights of LGBT+ community is becoming bigger and bigger, many people are wondering whether they can succeed or not. Thousands of haters oppose their rights and even their existence everyday and everywhere. However, they do not give up, and with the help of supporters all around the world, they will soon become accepted widely. All difficulties will have their own solutions, and numerous solutions has been listed out to help. At first, the responsibity belonged to the governments, they must consider carefully to legalize laws for same-sex couples by preparing campaigns to persuade and educate people in the country. A good example is Obama – the former president of America, who always support LGBT+ community. "This ruling
This issue continues to arise and spark debate year after year and decade after decade however the facts remain that this issue should simple be answered with a yes due to the fact that all humans deserve a right to freedom and as such that right to freedom will technically dictate that they will be given the right to decide any decision they may come across, however on the technical side of debate the four main theories of morality& religion, ethical naturalism, moral relativism and nihilism all present a different side and different approach to the issue.
As the society changing, the history of marriage also changes. Marriage is legally recognized union of two people as partners in a personal relationship, but do those two partners always have to be a man and a woman? Most people believe that homosexuals should be granted equal rights as heterosexual couples. Being as an important social issue, same-sex marriage has become a hot topic of public debates in the recent years. For over the past decade, public support for the same-sex marriage has quickly risen. The United States is one of over twenty countries that allow gay and lesbian couples to wed. I believe that same-sex marriage should be legalized in all countries for several reasons, such as being an issue of equal rights, separation of church and state, no negative effect on the heterosexual communities, increasing in child adoption, and decreasing divorce and suicide rates.
People are born homosexual. If you are homosexual you cannot get married. That idea is ridiculous. On June 26, 2015, the US Supreme Court ruled that the US Constitution guarantees the right for same-sex couples to marry. Marriage is defined as a sacred bond of love between two people. Gay people also feel love therefore, they should be allowed the same rights as everyone else in this country. Homosexuality is an accepted lifestyle nowadays with a proven biological causation. The only thing that should matter in marriage is love and denying them this is a violation of religious freedom.
On June 26, 2015, the US Supreme Court decided that gay marriage is a privilege ensured by the US Constitution in every one of the 50 states. Preceding their choice, same-sex marriage was at that point legitimate and legal in 37 states and Washington, DC, yet was prohibited in the rest of the 13. US general supposition had moved fundamentally throughout the years, from 27% endorsement of gay marriage in 1996 to 60% in 2015, according to Gallup. Defenders of legitimate gay marriage fight that gay marriage bans are discrimination and unfair, and that same-sex couples should be able to approach every one of the advantages delighted in by different-sex couples. Marriage has generally been characterized as being between a male and a female, and that marriage is for procreation, Not for same-sex couples to spend time together. I would agree because children should always have parents and more humans should be born, to live a happy life but homosexuality is defeating that purpose. Many people think kids should have both a mother and a father because it will positively affect the child. Also, Several religions across the world disapprove of same-sex marriage.
