When firms enter new markets or businesses, the way they structure these new businesses can result in greater complexity and less transparency. For instance, a firm that keeps each business separate will be easier to value than one that squeezes all the businesses into a single entity.
The cause of poor transparency, however, is less important than its effect on a company 's ability to give investors the critical information they need to value their investments. If investors neither believe nor understand financial statements, the performance and fundamental value of that company remains either irrelevant or distorted. Mounting evidence suggests that the market gives a higher value to firms that are upfront with investors and analysts. Transparency pays, companies with fuller disclosure win more trust from investors. Relevant and reliable information means less risk to investors and thus a lower cost of capital, which naturally translates into higher valuations. Of course, there are two ways to interpret this evidence. One is that the market rewards more transparent companies with higher valuations because the risk of unpleasant surprises is believed to be lower. After looking at the American Bar Association web-site the section that had the most applicable content was Rule 1.6. Confidentiality of Information. The purpose of this post is to describe how self-disclosure can be a barrier in the workplace. Every relationship in life is affected by a person's self-awareness and self-disclosure. Self-awareness is the ability to recognize oneself as an individual, seeing yourself for who you truly are. Self-disclosure is being able to let others see who you truly are. At the workplace if people do not have either of these qualities that can become a barrier to co-worker relationships (Lamberton & Minor, 2014).

The mechanistic structure is more of an advantage to the new ventures when it comes down to it because; new businesses often suffer from a lack of structure. New ventures can achieve better performance starting out as a new company with the help of the structure it would receive from the presence of a mechanistic structure.

Personal Disclosure Our group’s diversity proved to be beneficial to our work as a team, and ultimately our final project. Even during the brainstorming phase of our project, the variety in our personal experiences (and how they contributed to our proposal) was evident. For example, Francesco, an international student from Italy, discussed that some international students have difficulty filling out job applications in the United States due to the nature of the questions asked, and subsequently proposed an application that would make the application forms easier to understand and complete. Though the rest of my group members and I couldn’t resonate with this issue, we wholeheartedly engaged with the idea and began to build upon and visualize how it would work.
I have chosen the addiction population for the reason that they are probably the most diverse group of individuals around. Addiction is much more then drugs and alcohol and addiction can be anything some may have an addiction to pain, self-harm, sex, so you never know what kind of people you will be dealing with. I have always loved the puzzle and the challenging in figuring out why people do what they do in a way that’s one of my addictions hence the interest in the population.
