The Free Enterprise System allows individuals to have a chance of becoming successful in life. Free enterprise, also known as capitalism, is an economic system where the individuals in the economy have the freedom to participate in the business world without government intervention. The system has made many prosperous. An example of a wealthy person succeeding from this system is Andrew Carnegie. The Free Enterprise System is necessary in the business world.

Andrew Carnegie was born on November 25, 1835, in Dunfermline, Scotland a town that sustained itself with its linen weaving industry. With no economic barriers, individuals arose to the top quickly with their ideas. Their ideas helped the consumers in result, for instance, "The free market rewards entrepreneurs for their correct anticipation of consumer demand. It showers people like Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Alexander Graham Bell, John D. Rockefeller, and Andrew Carnegie with tremendous wealth, because they dramatically improved the consumer’s quality of life." (Rustici, Thomas Carl: "The Moral Nature of Free Enterprise"). With Free Enterprise many beneficial ideas came into place that helped people all over the world. Without government intervention, these business men flourished the United States. Although Free Enterprise is only good for the few entrepreneurs, the rest of the majority suffers from poor working conditions and low wages.
