Leadership, Service, Character, and Scholarship are all characteristics found in a National Honor Society member. I believe that I possess all of these characteristics and should be given the honor of becoming an NHS member because my parents have taught me a sense of responsibility and the care for others.
Leadership should exert a wholesome influence on the school. In taking the initiative in class and school activities, I have shown leadership to train and assist others to persuade the objective. I have self-confidence and go forward when others are others temporize. Leadership is always needed; thus, to lead is a substantive charge to each of the members. I have shown leadership in Art Club, Interact Club, and several other clubs. I have

I offer my time to the school and the local community without any method of compensation. I enjoy my experience of serving others and even how it changes your perspective towards the rest of the community. In today's world, which rotates around money, it is satisfying to be acknowledged for what I have done to create an impact on my community. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to help others and not to care about monetary rewards. Through volunteering, I have learned that many organizations such as American Red Cross exist only with the help of volunteers. I have seen the amount of pleasure that volunteering brings to those people who you are helping out. Community Service has personally affected my life in a positive way and make it possible to give others what they do not have. I learned that there is not a job or act of service which is too small, each action must be done for the positive impact of your community. I have donated more than 12 inches of my hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths organization and Locks of Love. Moreover, I have devoted more than 65 hours to Interact Club and have participated in many events such as Bell ringing for the Salvation Army, helping out at the Fly-in Breakfast by washing kitchens supplies, serving maple syrup, eggs, and butter and cleaning out the tables. I have helped out in the Youth Triathlon, playing with kids or helping …show more content…
The qualities of a character are who exemplifies friendliness, honesty, reliability, shows respect to others, follow the rules, had self-discipline, shows responsibility and trustworthiness. My character shows a lot about me as a person. I uphold the principles of morality and also am honest and trustworthy in the school community. I care about the opinions of my peers, and try not to be judgmental. Throughout my years at the high school, I’ve always tried my best to work hard and be all that I can be to succeed in life. My grades are the most important thing to me and I am concentrated on getting high grades for the good of me and my family. I not only determinedly work hard academically, but also impact my community's life by doing volunteer work. It gives me a feel of satisfaction and accomplishment which makes me feel good about myself. Interactions with other people make me feel I have contributed my happiness to others, feel a sense of accomplishment and shown a positive attitude communicating with
Academics, Service, Leadership, and Character. The four pillars of National Honor Society have been a guiding principle of my decisions for the past three years. In order to be successful, an individual must strive to excel in these four areas. Over my time in the club I have worked hard to be successful academically, give back to my community, be a leader in National Honor Society, other clubs, and in the classroom, and have a good character. By the pillar of service I decided to join Key Club, which is a volunteer service club. The pillar of leadership encouraged me to be an officer in FFA, Key Club, SADD, and National Honor Society. The Academic pillar has motivated me to keep my grades up na drecieve honor roll and academic letters throughout
I believe this to be most essential in NHS members for the National Honor Society is a service club and is therefore concerned with giving its best to the community. In my life, I believe that I consistently demonstrate that I enjoy helping others and that the benefit of other people is more important than any monetary gains that I can make. This is evident by my involvement in the middle school sports program, as well as in the Hoops for Hope community service
The four pillars of National Honor Society are scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Service has shown me that giving my time back to others not only helps them, but helps me in my development too. I love giving back my time through volunteering at my church to being a part of my school's student council "Cadet Council." I consider myself a very good leader. I love leading in group projects, I have served several positions in my 4-H group, and I have recently led a Hat Drive during Christmas to raise money for families who couldn't afford presents. Character means someone who is respectful, responsible, trustworthy, fair, caring, and a good citizen. I always try to do all six of these things everyday. Being out for sports, band,
Upon induction, the four words that resonated through my mind was Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Service. The four pillars of National Honor Society are an implementation of what the organization stands for and what each member should vicariously live by. As a well-rounded student even before I was inducted my junior year, I had the four virtues of National Honor Society but I did not use it to the highest extent that I could.
To possess an outstanding character is a National Honor Society expectation. I use my traits of optimism and determination to display my character. For me, my high school
who is on time daily and always kind and respectful. She has the ability to handle multiple deadlines at once and multi-task. These are all qualities that will be useful on your campus.
National Honor Society has been one of my top goals since my freshman year. When I found out that I could submit more information I was so ecstatic. I have wanted to be in National Honor Society for a long time because it will help me develop qualities and experiences that will last me a lifetime. A major quality and pillar of National Honor Society is leadership. Leadership to me equals sacrifices. People who sacrifice their time even when they don’t really have the time to sacrifice are good leaders in my opinion. I want to strive to be a good leader and apply leadership into National Honor Society.
Your character is who you are and the traits you possess to make you, you! You can display your character many ways through the things you like! For an example I really enjoy writing short stories and you can see my personality through my stories. Character alike scholarship can also make or break your school career. Some students use their character qualities in a wrong way, like if you are funny or can make a joke some kids use that quality during classes and at the wrong times!
National Honor Society is a crucial part in a student’s life as it is an organization that demonstrates leadership through characteristics, behavior and great excellence. This organization encourages other students to work harder to become a member of NHS. It would be a great honor to be a NHS member during high school because I understand that it is a selective group. I am a student, who through service and leadership, have demonstrated that I am a well-organized, willing and a cheerful student with initiative.
The National Honor Society recognizes students with great academic progress and outstanding role out of school. The qualities of leadership, character, and service are built upon responsibility, cooperation, and dedication. I believe I show these qualities through my extracurricular activities and leadership opportunities. As a member of NHS, I want to support and inspire others.
National Honor Society is a highly looked upon club that helps around the community as well as focusing on how important education is. I believe that NHS is a good fit for I feel that my values align closely with that of the clubs. Over the summer I volunteered at Stormont twice a week for four hours and I enjoyed it. There is nothing quite like the feeling of knowing that what you are doing is making a difference, no matter how small it is. Academics are also a significant part of my life because I know that one’s future and future career are dependent on the habits that are started in high school. Turning work in on time is getting me into the routine of getting something in by a deadline and showing up every day on time is just like showing
Character is the way someone thinks, feels, and behaves. I think I have good character traits, like kindness, loyalty, honesty, good behavior, etc. My character has helped me throughout my daily life, and has helped me attract the kind people that I can, all my friends. Within the National Honor Society, good character is probably very important to ensure that things go smoothly, everyone gets along, and that everyone completes their
Being chosen by my teachers to be a candidate for National Honor Society gives me a great sense of honor and validates everything I have worked hard to achieve. I believe that I would be a valuable member of the NHS community as I am hard working and posses the four defining characteristics of a member of NHS: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. In terms of scholarship, my academic achievements are a result of my hard work and determination. My membership in NHS will only further enable me for academic success.
It is an honor to be chosen as a candidate for membership in the National Honor Society. Academics, leadership skills, service abilities, and character are four principal parts of a superior student. I believe that I am inclusive of all these aspects needed to become a part of this prestigious group. Becoming a member of this organization is important to me, because it will help me get into an excellent college and push me to work harder in school.
Volunteering and participating in service projects are two of the most rewarding activities in my opinion. Some people may find it was a hassle or only do it because they have to meet the minimum requirement for school or work. Helping others, for me, has always been somewhat second nature to me. Over many years of volunteering I believe I have developed qualities that will stick with me for life and benefit me in my career. As early as freshman year, in high school, I found myself looking for ways to give back. I started by looking for opportunities within school, where I came across the A+ tutoring program, and so my journey of giving back began. While tutoring, my patience for others really evolved, partly by choice and partly because
