The meaning of the Jesuit tenet "Magis" is essential in the quest for self-actualization. It is the duty of all to become the best version of themselves that they can possibly be, no matter what the area of growth is in. Personally, I want a college experience that challenges the person that I am now, and helps me to grow by the way of academics and knowledge, learning to be a contributing member of society as an adult, and becoming more cultured. I believe with a life at Fordham University, I can take steps towards achieving this and so much more.
College is the catalyst for knowledge expansion. Although all undergraduate institutions offer this, none of them offer classes in the way Fordham University does. Specifically, what is salient to me is Fordham college at Rosehill. As an economics major, I know that I would be getting the most out attendance to this

People from all over America, and the world, are located in New York, and thus Fordham. I have been somewhat isolated from the rest of the world my whole life, considering that I have never left America. Given the opportunity to attend Fordham, I know that I will become more worldly. Since Fordham is located in New York, it is apparent that I will be around others mostly all the time, furthering my growth inwardly and outwardly as a member of society. By these rationale, it is my belief that Fordham will give me the most by the means of personal growth and an affinity for culture.

By furthering my scholastic experience at Fordham, I know that I can achieve

While men like Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson are probably most popularly known to be the greatest of the founding fathers, they were a few great men among many. Of course each played a special role in the construction of the Declaration of Independence and the development of the United States, the most important however and perhaps most frequently forgotten is Pennsylvania delegate, Robert Morris. He was born in Liverpool, Great Britain, on January 20, 1784; however, he later immigrated to America when he was 13 years old. As soon as he arrived in America his father, a tobacco based businessman, started little Robert on the path to a valuable education. Robert’s education is what kick-started him on a path of success, this success was not only his but also of America.

The Museum was very depressing. One of the exhibits that was the most depressing were the shoes of the victims who didn't survive the Holocaust. I didn't remember what the quote but it was deep .

Washington was selected by the United States Constitution to be our National Capital. Hand-picked by George Washington and designed in a grid by a French architect, it became the center of our nation and a hallmark of tourism. The city is rich with culture and life. According to Washington.org, DC is a place “where people live and visit, where restaurants and pubs buzz, where cabs are hailed, hotels are busy and friends laugh.” Why is this? Three prime reasons -its areas, monuments, and other attractions- cause this city to catapult to the forefront of touristic places.
Attending my Catholic school is a gift as well as a privilege and I have gratitude for the opportunity. Because I see my school as a gift, I have academic goals and put 100% effort into them. An academic goal that I have is to work hard for superior grades while continuing to become proficient with educational skills such as writing, reading, oral and written communication, science, and mathematics. Additionally, I plan to continue to get to know myself and to learn about possible careers that might interest me. A career that I am currently interested in involves the fields of dentistry and surgery. Plus at my school, we learn about personal responsibility and personal initiative in our morals and behaviors. Another goal is that I want to
When I began to look at colleges, Georgetown University immediately stood out. I want a values-based education, not just a knowledge-based education. The first paper is due by Monday, April 9, 11:59 p.m. You MAY use sources outside of the Liberty Search Engine (and are encouraged to do so). Also you may use scholarly books and not just journal articles. You should avoid using generic websites that do not appear scholarly in nature. A good rule of thumb is that if a website does not have an author, it is not a good source. Good online material has also usually been published in print at some point. Google Scholar and JSTOR are great places to search, as well as the online encyclopedias I've shown you. Always feel free to send me an email if you have questions about sources or formatting.
Earning my undergraduate degree from Seattle University has opened a lot of doors and has expanded my ability to reflect on my life, my intellectual progress and my purpose to find direction. I have always found a personal and a professional sense of purpose from a Jesuit tradition.
