Everybody has something they are literate in. For me, that is football. I am committed to being a good football player. I started 2 seasons ago, and am on my third. As with anything, I have strengths and weaknesses when playing football. But I have to work with these if I want to be a good football player. My experience with football also can relate to ELA and my strengths and weaknesses there.
I started football because I felt I would be good at it. I was good in some aspects, but some I was bad in. An aspect I was good in was my physical strength. I go to a weight room in Marlboro called H.I.T. training, so I was pretty strong. I used this to play on the offensive line. Similarly, in LA I used my strength in writing in detail and

I was regretting my actions yesterday, because I then got behind on the current work trying to catch up on the essay, and had to do that for homework. I try and put thought into what I write, so I can’t really write all that much at once. Like football, I had to work at this. I would try and spend longer spans of writing before stopping and thinking what to write next. Sometimes I would even think of what I'm writing as I go, something I’ve gotten a lot better at throughout middle school. Something that challenged me with this year was the interview. Because I already did the sheet of questions beforehand, I still had to write the entry. But in the end, It wasn’t that long, actually. But like I said, working on weaknesses helps a lot. When I came here in 6th grade, I couldn’t write that much either. But in 6th grade, we were told our paragraphs and essays need to be a lot longer. I went from 3-4 short sentences for one paragraph, to the length of a full essay for one paragraph. A full blown essay that took a month or two to prepare in fourth grade wouldn’t even be the length of this paragraph. And like I mentioned, writing a lot in detail is my strength now. My literacy connects a lot with reading and writing. A lot of ways I use my strengths and weaknesses both in football and in ELA. I focus on my strengths, and I try to bring them out as much as I can. Also, I try to use and incorporate my strengths into whatever I'm doing. I
In the annual Ely Tigers versus Dillard Panthers football game, there was a play caught at the last minute, giving the Ely Tigers the win. The score was 14-10, and Donnell Wilson caught the winning touchdown pass. How he caught it, no one was quite sure. All they knew was in the Ely-Dillard football game, the winning catch was caught by Donnell, it was lucky, and it was a team effort.
Seattle's pass defense has collapsed without Earl Thomas, ranking fifth in Football Outsiders DVOA through Week 11 but 30th out of 32 teams since Thomas missed his first game in Week 12. However, Detroit's passing game has similarly collapsed since Matthew Stafford hurt his finger early in Week 14, ranking 10th through Week 13 but 27th over the past four weeks. It would seem those matching declines would cancel each other out, but the problem for Detroit is that Seattle is better at everything else except special teams. Detroit has little ground attack, while Seattle has one of the 12 best run defenses since FO advanced stats began in 1989. Seattle's offense has been only average this season, but the Detroit defense is much worse than it looks.
Brady Enneking Comp II Anderson 5/25/2017 Removing Contact From a Contact Sport For years people ignored the signs of CTE in football, but now we know the facts. Players of football may face terrible symptoms after sustaining repeated blows to the head. These symptoms may be anything from short-term memory loss to Dementia and Parkinson's. Football’s biggest problem currently is concussions.
Football season is winding down. As you know, the end of football season means everyone is gearing up for big showdowns between their favorite matchups. If you are a football fan, then it’s possible that you are planning to tailgate this year. Although tailgating is a great way to show you team spirit, safe tailgating is critical to having a good time and prevent claims against your auto insurance.
“It is to my mind simple nonsense, a mere confession of weakness” A quote said by one of our very own football loving presidents, Teddy Roosevelt. People believe football is too dangerous and shouldn’t be played. Around the U.S. critics over exaggerate consequences in football. Even though football is criticized, football is not too dangerous to play.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va.--Playing four quarters has been a challenging task for the West Virginia offense this football season.

When it was your first time doing something and you said to yourself, ‘’I wish I could do this for the rest of my life? ’’ I’ve grown up doing the thing I’ve been wanting to do, which is playing professional football for the NFL. I’ve been playing football since kindergarten, since then I know the game perfectly. My first year of kindergarten sparked me to be interested in football.
I have doubted myself many times through out my life. Students who play any athletic High School sport have most likely doubted themselves before. The fact that there is room for little to no error can cause athletes to doubt themselves on if they can achieve their goals. I know this feeling because I have personally had doubt about achieving my goals in soccer.
I grew up with a love towards sports. Sure I started off in ballet and gymnastics but one day my best friend told me I should play soccer with her. So of course I begged my mom to let me do another sport. Little did I know soccer would have such a big impact on my life. I started off with playing recreational league soccer. My first coach, was my softball coach, and he decided I would be a perfect forward. As the years went on and I got a different coach my position changed. I went from a forward to a midfielder then finally a defender.
During my internship I worked with Franklin High School’s football team, I started on June 25th and worked all the way to August 14th Monday-Friday for 3.5 hours each day. So all together I gotten a total of 122 hours. What I did during the internship was help the coaches in any way I possibly could, such as help setting up equipment for drills, helping the quarterbacks warm up, help run drills , and being the ball boy during their scrimmages. I did anything that the coaches asked me to help with. From this experience, I learned many things that goes into being a coach for a football team. There were some thing that I noticed about the football team that I learned about in my sports in society class. I remember talking about how some athletes think that sports are their only way of being successful, and their only way of getting out were their living right now. Some of the high schoolers saw football as their ticket of getting out of their predicaments. Sometimes they focus so much on football that they let their grades slip and get into trouble with their classes. Though the coaches do a real good job of reminding them that it’s just not their athletic ability that’ll get them into a good college, but they also have to get good grades too. The coaches do a real good job of keeping their athletes on the right track and help them when they need help so that they can play football. Something that I learned in my sponsorship and sales class helped with this situation. We
I observed that she is from a Spanish speaking country, living in the rural area. She was a tom-boy who loves to take care of bulls. The first time she saw a picture of a bullfighter, she became interested in the sport. She started the sport at a young age and when all the men in her family failed at their attempt she didn’t fail. She was dedicated in becoming a professional matador in which she did. Before she enters the bull ring she practice her routine, dressing in her jump shot of fine patterns and dazzling decorations. In the ring, she uses a red flag to distract the bull in order to kill it. The way she moves in the ring reveals her love for the sport.
Throughout the years I have been engaged in the sport of Football. I started playing this sport around the time I was seven years old. I was always an adventurous, outgoing, and curious kid. Around that age I wanted to try everything I could find time for. Then I discovered football and I have
Failing to make to the JV soccer team has been one of most impactful moments of my life, and it has changed the way I approach athletics and life outside of sports.
In football, our coaching staff drilled into our minds that it [football] is nothing more than a stepping stone. Furthermore, it helped me to develop characteristics that will benefit me all throughout my adult life. It taught me to be honest, patient, loyal, dedicated, decent, and how to work hard. It showed me that in order to perform at the best that I could be, I would need to choose what offered the best result. That result may not have shown immediately, but it always came. It showed me that much was required of me, such as sufficient grades and following training policies, before I could be given my chance to
