During the 1950’s when rock and roll first began its evolution into the music world. It was viewed as very controversial and rebellious, for many and good reason too. The fist would be how rock and roll began, it was first adapted from a combination of country and western music and rhythm and blues. Stemming from rhythm and blues, which was a less popular genre of music in the 1950’s and its music was geared towards African Americans. Most African Americans sang with their church choir, because of this many blues songs were inspired from gospel music.
