The organization consciously made the decision to keep Christ central in their publications. This is a rhetorical appeal to the Christian community of Flagstaff: potential volunteers and donors. Surely the organization wants public recognition, which is why they have publications and a website to be viewed. Also, community awareness of the work the organization conducts will attract members of the community in need. The strong presence of Christianity in both the texts and digital media publications is an effective means in fulfilling their purpose for a select number of people in Flagstaff. This strategy is sound when recruiting volunteers as it is logical to staff those whose central values and beliefs align with the organization. Publication

Following the end of their service in World War II, many African Americans arrived in Flagstaff in search of better economic opportunities. Many of these new arrivals found these opportunities in the logging industry, which was in need of workers. While some of the workers were only seasonal and would return to their homes in the South once the season ended, others set down roots in Flagstaff to build a new life. For instance, John L. Williams migrated from the south in 1944, after serving in the Navy during World War II. He claimed that he had received letters from a friend, who would describe how he had made a large profit working in Flagstaff. Once he returned from overseas, he traveled to Flagstaff and ended up making more money working
As the years pressed on Gatlinburg saw more and more tourist. They decided to take this and create a town that fully runs off of tourist. The second biggest thing to hit Gatlinburg after the creation of the National Park has to be when the general assembly passed legislation in 2009 that made distilleries legal in 41 Tennessee counties. On July 3rd, 2010 the city sold their first legal jar of moonshine. Since, Gatlinburg has opened Ole Smoky Moonshine which allows tourist to come into the distillery and are offered free tastings. This allows the tourist to taste the heritage of the Smoky Mountains. After which the people are able to buy jars of said moonshine and take the taste of the Smokys’ home. This passing allowed for a massive increase from an economic and tax revenue standpoint. The following months brought in more tourist than before. Granted many people thought by offering free tasting of moonshine and making it legal to brew, the locals thought it would put out the wrong image of Gatlinburg. Many locals believed that Gatlinburg should have stayed a more family oriented attraction, but with the passing of the legislation the locals realized that it didn’t affect the family image that had been established. With the locals of Gatlinburg onboard and the moonshine business beginning to take off, the town was uplifted with tourism and gained a new found life.

I thought a lot about this assignment. It was important, to me, that I gathered information that would be applicable for the clients I will serve as a social worker. Here in Flagstaff Arizona, we are fortunate to live in a community which celebrates cultural diversity. Flagstaff is home to a large Latino, Diné and Hopi population. I wanted to critique a mental health assessment that I felt would be culturally sensitive, appropriate and address the needs of these populations. Having said that, I analyzed this intake form in terms of its usability for a variety of different cultures and populations. I also aimed to assess the intake form in relation to sexual orientation and issues around gender identity. The hope being that

In October 1927, the first ever North American Christian Convention was held in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was one of many conventions that was held at the time and are held still to this day. Throughout this paper I will be discussing the different events and people, that shaped and molded the North American Christian Convention into what it is today.
All individuals possess their set of values, principles, and integrities they have progressed over time, and they have all shaped their experiences and associations in life. The ensuing paper classifies and discusses various worldview models that individuals such as Aunt Maria, Doctor Wilson, Jessica, and Marco identify with and employ, which influences their moral recommendation and perception of the status of the fetus in "Fetal Abnormality," a case study from Grand Canyon University. In evaluating the case study, the essay explores and describes the most appropriate theories and their impact on resolution. Additionally, the paper offers the author 's recommendation on the issue.
Additionally, they published and televised their message that “address the religious concerns of common people” (Wacker, 2) by being accessible to the less educated of
Smashed in the backseat of my uncle’s van which was already overcrowded with kids from throughout the community of Uniontown, the first thing I noticed was the girl’s ungroomed hair and the boy’s flip flops. Despite being the beginning of winter in this rural town of Kansas, the kids seemed unfazed by their lack of grooming or clothing; their faces said it all. Pure contentment and excitement, the kind of a child who has just been told he is going to Disneyland, spread across their faces as they scampered toward this 2008 Honda Odyssey. Tonight was Bible Impact Ministries (BIM) night, where about 50 kids go each week to receive one on one adult attention, enjoy much needed food, and learn the word of the Lord. BIM is only offered in this community

Canyon Ranch’s strategy should include the full integration of the CLS and Guestware systems to give the managers on duty access to consolidated information so they can take any required actions immediately. POS software should be installed in the restaurants and salons. They should also consider online options for customer bookings and completion of health questionnaires. Customers should be able to book an entire stay online, chat with a customer representative online, as well as complete then submit their health questionnaires online if they opt to.
