Five Finger Death Punch, often shortened to Death Punch and abbreviated as 5FDP or FFDP, is an American heavy metal band from Las Vegas, Nevada. Formed in 2005, the band's name comes from the kung fu movie The Five Fingers of Death, to which Quentin Tarantino later made reference in his movie Kill Bill. The band originally consisted of vocalist Ivan Moody, guitarist Zoltan Bathory, guitarist Caleb Andrew Bingham, bassist Matt Snell, and drummer Jeremy Spencer. Bingham was replaced by guitarist Darrell Roberts in 2006, who was then replaced by Jason Hook in 2009. Bassist Matt Snell departed from the band in 2010,[1] and was replaced by Chris Kael in
Kung Fu and Hip-Hop: both bad-ass, technical, and beautiful forms of art. It would seem apparently strange and unlikely for these two to occupy the same space, but Wu-Tang Clan defies that peculiarity. Wu-Tang Clan is comprised of nine members: RZA, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Method Man, GZA, Inspectah Deck, U-God, and Masta Killa. In 1993, the nine MC power-house effortlessly combined the mythology of Kung Fu films and the grittiness of New York street life in their debut LP, Enter the Wu-Tang Clan – 36 Chambers. The LP demonstrated an underground interpretation of Hip Hop that was gritty, dark, and aggressive, but more importantly, it served essential in transitioning Hip Hop past the mainstream G-Funk gangster rap and
Devil’s Diciples Motorcycle Club, with “disciples” intentionally misspelled, is headquartered in Detroit, Michigan with chapters across the United States. It is a violent biker gang with around 250 patched members throughout the country; approximately 60 patched members being in Michigan alone. They prefer to keep their numbers small, making it easier to control them politically.
Should a dish of revenge be served at all? Kill Bill is a two-part martial arts-action film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The electrifying film presents a tale of justice, revenge, and redemption.
Inland Empire's blues-rock band, Zentonic, release their sophomore album "Reset" and push musical and personal boundaries. The IE's trio, Daniel Chavez (lead vocals/guitar), Ruben Cordova (bass/vocals), and Kenny Lopez (drums), surpass expectations along the road to "Reset" with their innovative sound, and return to basic elements, passion, and core ideals. Despite always possessing the musical and mechanical talent, as heard on "Set The Tone (2014)," the diversity and craft taken on "Reset" focuses on a louder display of passion, which echos Zentonic's true voice, and evolution from album to album. Unmatched fusion of sounds, that range from blues, rock, and funk, has led them to break away in pure adornment, and ultimately defines them as
During my junior year, all high school students of the Coachella Valley were given the opportunity to audition for the All Coachella Valley Honor Band, with a guest conductor H. Robert Reynolds. This was a significant educational opportunity I took advantage of. The audition consisted of a couple of scales, and excerpts from the music that was going to be performed on the day of the concert. When the day came I sat in front of the judge with my music and clarinet, where my nerves began to rise. Before I began to play my heart began to pound along with my hands beginning to sweat. Throughout my audition I had a few mistakes, but I stayed persistent and completed my audition. After I finished my audition, the judge said I had done great, I was
Tupelo MS is where it all began. The birthplace of Elvis Presley, it is also the birthplace of rock-n-roll and the transformation of American culture. Now, as it was then, this small town in the north-eastern corner of the state of Missouri is rather off the beaten track. But it still attracts a steady stream of visitors, from boomers reliving their greatest years to millennials trying to understand what the fuss was all about.
The Motley Crue is a heavy metal band, with carefree lifestyle, that they spread throughout the world through their music. The members of the band were not only memorable on the stage, but off stage as well. They lived a lifestyle most would not deem socially correct, though it seemed to benefit their career. Selling over 100 million albums worldwide, Motley Crue helped spread the heavy metal brand of music around the world. All of these factors contributed to making them one of the best selling bands of all time. Their style, their life outside of music, and the spread of their music has lead Motley Crue to the top of Rock and Roll.
History is the foundation of everyone alive and deceased. Everyone in this world leaves a piece behind and marks the world in their own way. In history, important people who have done horrible and good things in this world have been recorded and displayed to children in schools. I mostly agree with the “The Politics of History by Howard Zinn” because it displays the fact that nearly every event in history has been done with a motive and has had consequences. A quote from Zinn’s work represents this is, “History is not inevitably useful.

Have you ever turned on the radio in your vehicle and heard an out rageous rock song? Yeah that’s right it’s Def. Leppard. They have been tour and doing shows for twenty five plus year and still jamming as we speak. I entered high school as a little ,scared and skinny freshman. Now it is my senior year and I am still little and skinny but I changed. I am not going to be cliche and say "High School is where I found who I truly was." Actually, what I have done defined my character and reflected my true passions in life.
Throughout the millennium, music has touched the lives of many people around the world. Music is the one force of nature that can touch one’s heart with the perfect rhythm. With its many genres, people can enjoy each genre of music given the time and place in specific ways. Rock ‘n’ roll, for example, has influenced many Americans from the mid-1950’s and became inspirational today. While listening to rock ‘n’ roll music, everyone can’t help but name one key musician, and his name is Elvis Presley. Because of the way Elvis took the stage with his flashy hair, he later took the title as ‘The King of rock ‘n’ roll’. But was that really the case for African Americans? One must wonder, was rock ‘n’ roll specifically for White Americans? Why many
American political culture varies in the number of core ideals and values. Not stating that all Americans share the same ideals, but the majority do seem to agree on general ideals such as liberty, equality, democracy, individualism, unity, and diversity. Debates are over how to best achieve these ideals, not whether the ideals are worth having.
We will review last year’s scholarship application forms to determine if the forms continue to meet our intentions.
