I have improved quite a lot in my fitness testing, in this class. The area I believe is my strongest, is the cardiovascular endurance fitness component. I believe that this is my strongest component not because of the results at the beginning or specifically at the end of the testing but the improvement between the 1st and 3rd fitness session. In the beginning of my cardiovascular component, I got a 4.4 result in the beep test, which later improved to a 5.4. To me this is a great improvement because I was able to challenge myself and do better on that part of my testing. Also, for the skipping test I began with a result of 1:20 min then 2:10 min, this gradually increases in between the two testing periods. However, for the third fitness testing I was able to skip for a full 10 minutes with 2 lives. …show more content…
Then the last part of the cardiovascular endurance section was the six laps, which improved from 17:20 min to 15:45 min. All these improvements in the cardiovascular endurance fitness component made it my strongest component. Further on the contributing factor of this great improvement were the activities we did in class. Activities done in the warm ups were of great benefit. For example warm ups that helped me make this my strongest area of fitness were jogging, running, high knees running/walking and kick butt running/walking. Also, activities such as soccer and basketball have helped me achieve these results. But unbelievably this is the type of exchange that happens a lot when engaging in conversation. In this lab, the focus was to study muscular fitness. In muscular fitness, there are two main components of measurements that are being taken, which are muscular strength and muscular endurance. Muscular strength is an individual’s ability to exert their maximum force. To test muscular strength, there are multiple tests such as 1 RM , Static Handgrip Strength, and Back Strength Dynamometer test. I can also prove that by the fact that I turn in most of my homework’s on time and if I don’t they are probably because not understanding them and asking my teacher to turn them in late. An example of my cardiovascular endurance came playing in a sevens tournament with school. As there is various space in rugby sevens I must not only use my cardiovascular endurance in attack however in defence also .The opposition we were playing against had a notably quick player on the wing. When he broke in the final minutes (considering I had played in previous games not long after) I used my cardiovascular endurance to run across the pitch to make the tackle.
The concepts, tools, and activities that I will implement moving forward from the class Total Fitness include changes to improve my individual and social skills. I plan on continuing with the individual skills of Hunt the Good Stuff, practicing Acts of Kindness and Crossfit. The skill of the Hunt the Good Stuff involves identifying recent events in my life that will help build positive emotion, optimism, and gratitude in my thoughts that may undercut my performance and mental toughness.
