Today was like any other day, but today we was a first grade music program that night. Before the program started I was get ready to go and about 1 hour or so me and my brother and some friends outside to skateboard. We were just skating around the neighborhood and getting ready to go back to the house when my brother skated down a big hill. When my brother went down, another one of my friends when down after him down the hill. I was thinking I was able to do it do but what I didn’t know is that doing that would ruin my night. Next, when I got home I did what I usually do, I would get a snack and sit on the couch and watch tv. I have been doing that for about an hour or so. Then my brother comes up stairs. “He logen do you want to go outside and skateboard with me and Jacob,” Preston said. “Ya let me finish me …show more content…
I was about to leave then I thought to myself I can do this, but I was wrong. When I went after them down the hill, I had too much weight on the back of my skate board. The board slipped out from under me and I fell backwards and tried to stop myself with my hand but the was a stupid decision. When I landed my arm snapped, I didn’t know what happened but it hurt so I took off after my house. By the time I got to my house I was balling my eyes out. I tried to tell her what happened but not a lot of words came out. But when she saw my wrist to told my dad and told him to get the car ready. She sat me on the couch and got a ice pack for me to put on my wrist. My dad came rushing in and picked me up and carried me to the car. And he drove me to the hospital, my had to stay home with my little sister and older brother. We got there pretty quick because I dozed off in the car. But when we got there my dad carried me into the hospital and I was in this hospital bed. It was dark with a light directly above me then someone came into the
After he was on the sled and ready to go I took off turning all the sharp turns and threw the ruts previously made by the tires and sled but he wouldn’t fall off so I kept trying but nothing seemed to work. So I went to the very back yard and basically given up at this point that he would get thrown off I wasn't really paying attention and in my backyard we have a big ditch that fills with water but the cold weather had caused the water to freeze so it was ice with snow over it and I turned a small turn and the sled slipped right in to the ditch busting the ice so water was all over the sled and the sled turned upside down when it went into the ditch luckily my brother let go before it went into the ditch but i thought it was hysterical so I started laughing and then my brother started joking about how i tried to kill him. We ended up going inside and telling my mom the funny story but she didn't think it was as funny as we
I identify myself as a part of the music program; I have a background with music; I have an interest in what music is and I have a talent in music. I need to add in any application that I have been a part of the music program since the start of my music career. Music has played a part in who I am.
As Justine and I were jumping on sleds and I jumped onto the sled and I fell to the ground. Justine asked “Are you ok?” and I said “No!” Then I tried to stand up but, I couldn’t. Then I sat up for a little while then I tried to stand up again and I couldn’t move my whole leg or it would hurt. So then Jacie ran inside and told my dad that I fell on the sled and I couldn’t stand up. Next my came outside and he
It was a Thursday night at around 12 P.M. when I finally fell asleep I was nervous because the next day I was getting my wisdom teeth cut out. My dad woke me up a 5 A.M. to get me some chicken broth because I couldn't eat or drink anything after 6 A.M. I went to school tired and hungry but I lived through it. After school I went home for about 40 minutes waiting for my mom the get home to take me to get my wisdom teeth cut out. When we got to the place we had to wait about 20 minutes and then they called my name. They brought me into a room and sat me down talked to my mom and I for a couple minutes and then they put an I.V into my arm and put me to sleep. When I woke up there was a woman there that told me to sit in the chair she had in front
After we finished washing dishes we had went into the living room and we was watching T.V. and then that’s when we had decided to go to the basketball court and that’s when I had told my mom and aunt that we was going to the court. They had said okay so we had grab our
The concept of music has been a fascinating topic for me since I was able to sing along to Hannah Montana and High School Musical, and maybe even before that. It’s the one thing that has stayed consistent for me since day one. When I was struggling to figure out who I was and who I wanted to be, my mind went blank. I wasn’t involved in any sport or hobby, and I didn’t enjoy much, not even the security of my own bedroom. For a long time, I felt lost. When I was given the option to learn an instrument in middle school, it didn’t occur to me that I was going to change my perspective on life or that I finally found something that I belonged in. It was a matter of time before I realized exactly what I had done.
I said that I was okay, I could have said anything but I did not want her worrying, so I said that. Still, to this day I have been enraged about that decision. Since I said I was fine, my mom only took me to the regular doctor, who poked and prodded at my wrist and sent me to the hospital. If one has ever went to the regular doctor for an injury they know you feel worse after because of the way they look at it and twist it around. By the way I kept playing, and by the time I went to the doctor, my wrist had started to become worse than the original injury that I
I chose this particular experiment to see what my mind would allow me to draw based on the way the music sounded. I thought this would be a cool experiment to see how I feel when different music is playing and how I interpret the music I hear into a drawing.
It was right at the end of the school year, so luckily, volleyball was over, and I was riding Gages skateboard, coming home from Mcdonald's, and I was with Jack Gage, brei, and Alexis, It was one of those it's-after school-lets-hangout kind of days, well anyways Gage had a skateboard with longboard wheels on it so they were huge and I wasn't use to it, so while I was riding I lost balance, the skateboard flew under me and I fell face first and caught myself with my left wrist. I didn't think nothing of it, I just layed on the ground for a while yelling, but I didn't
Once we headed out, I noticed my mom’s car. I started running towards her car and my brother trips me, but I didn't fall immediately. It was the slowest fall ever, I kept running but I was slowly losing balance and then I just hit the floor, I scraped my hands, I had tiny gravel embedded in my hands, my knees
I’m a klutz or an accident prone,is was my brother calls me, and this summer I proved it. I have hurt myself so many times, but never on purpose, even though the way one looks at it, it would seem on purpose like who would jump on the rocks? Or broken their toe on a door, maybe punch a gym floor. who knows ,but I did all of this on one more. The week before school, I went up north for the day at my cousin’s cabin. They have a pond in the front of their cabin and a river behind it. We went swimming in the pond before lunch, then everyone is going to the rope swing. Everyone was already in the water so when I come out, they all started screaming jump on, come on what's taking so long get onto. When I jump on the opposite side of everyone else,to
Two days later I went home and went out to eat with my uncle and my 2 cousins. Then we went home and got our laundry. Then we went to Bonner to do laundry.
It was around 1 a.m and the doctors came in there to put me under. They put the iv in and my eyes were shaking really bad. Next thing you know I was out cold for about 30 minutes. I woke up at about 1:30 a.m and everything was spinning. Then I saw three of everything. They asked me if I wanted to see my mom and Clayton. I said yes. I was talking really funny I guess. According to Clayton I was rambling about how I was gonna hit people with my cast.
My parents took me back to the hotel room. I was sick to my stomach. Then I went to the bedroom and got on the bed. I fell asleep, When I woke up I looked
Playing and listening to instruments help strengthen parts of the brain. For one, “science has shown that when children learn to play music, their brains begin to hear and process sounds that they couldn’t otherwise hear” (Locker 1). One of the main importances of playing music is listening to know when a note has gotten off key. The ability of picking up wrong notes help people listen more closely without having to think about it. Another example, “researchers found that after two years, children who not only regularly attended music classes, but also actively participated in the class, showed larger improvements in how the brain processes speech and reading scores than their less-involved peers” (Locker 1). These children were more attentive
