Final Summary and Evaluation
The goal I achieved was that I applied to Texas A&M-Commerce and got accepted into their school. However, I am still waiting to be accepted into their Nursing program. I have also been finishing all my assignments before the deadline. The only thing that has caused me to not reach my entire goal for that was these journals. I began writing them daily so it was good I made the chance for that, but I realized I should have posted them each day I was writing. The progress that I made towards the goals I set were, I ran a couple of mornings and for the most part I tried to cut down on the unhealthy food choices that I previously had. What helped me succeed on that was finishing my assignments ahead of time, this

Where will my busy life take me and when will it feel worth it? 8 am, I was getting ready for work, 9am-5pm I was at the Vision Care Center, 6pm-11pm I was at the Express at Town East mall and by the time I got home, I was already fed up with life but had three courses to finish by the end of the month. Obstacles were everywhere and my mind was the worst one. I will try making an effort to view and think more positively. I hope to have a better perspective about everything around me. I will squeeze in dinner with the family and find a day off to feel a bit of freedom. The resources I could start to use more is the library, instead of getting home from work and feeling tired, maybe the library would motivate me to stay awake and finish more exams/assignments. Overall, I’m really glad that I had the chance to experience this particular assignment because it triggered me to see that the world doesn’t have to feel like such a busy place. Having this time to type out my thoughts is the freest I’ve felt in a while.

Along a murky riverbed, long devoid of life; a lone roach scuttles along. It is often said that their kind are the only thing that can survive an apocalypse, apart from the ever changing shell of this rock hurdling through space and time. This creature, as resilient as it is fowl, may ever toil in peace; for it has no sentience or desires, and merely seeks to fulfill the simplest tasks, passed down and hard-coded into it’s DNA. Without want, pride, or a sense of being, it simply locates and consumes sustenance; in an ongoing cycle intermingled with periods of compulsive reproduction. A duty which has been the sole, simple undertaking of every member of it’s species for countless millenia. All around this creature, the land expands outward
In his article "Making the Grade," Kurt Wiesenfeld presents a problem regarding the ethical value of grades in modern society. A physics professor, Wiesenfeld opens the article by making the "rookie error" of being in his "office the day after final grades were posted." (paragraph 1) Several students then attempt to influence him to change their grades for the class. What concerns Wiesenfeld is that many of his more recent students consider a grade to be a negotiable commodity rather than accept the grade as an accurate representation of efforts and performance and how much they learned. The author indicates that part of this
Throughout the group article exercise really did showcase who's personalities were strong and who's personalities were not. Having a strong personality means that you are willing to listen to other people's opinions but will debate on it by logical thinking of how you came across your answer rather than people with not so strong personalities meaning they agree with the group decisions. Through my personality, it will really show how I came across my conclusions, how the group came across their conclusions and how the group is influenced by the decisions made through the online assessments.
The purpose of this report is to conduct a critical appraisal of a published article.
Processing the crime scene will be essential to bringing forth criminal charges against any assailant of the crime of rape. In the case of a rape the prime crime scene is the rape victim. Biological evidence is inevitably left behind. There could in this instance be evidence left behind on sheets. In this scenario the bed of the ‘No Tell Motel’ will likely have some physical evidence such as hairs, bodily secretions, possibly condoms left behind in the trash or flushed down the toilet, clothing of the victim or the assailant. The crime scene has been contaminated by sightseers from the motel (management), and visiting
Team Read’s program evaluation completed by the independent evaluator Margo Jones took an overall look at Team Read based off of statistical analysis conducted in two different phases. These phases evaluated different scopes of Team Read, the readers the coaches and mentors. I Steven Wayock will critique this program evaluation based on the information at hand and will offer Team Read my insight to what this evaluation did properly and what this evaluation lacked based off my expertise.
For this task you are required to determine the risk context associated with establishing a new business outlet, within the existing business structure. They will be required to review internal and external environment factors and liaise with all stakeholders to generate a list of risks.
Jim Collins and his research team have done a wonderful job identifying what it takes for a company to go from good to great. I found this book extremely interesting and would like to share several of my thoughts. The study looks at companies that appeared on the Fortune 500 from the years of 1965 to 1995, looking for those that, for 15 years, either tracked or underperformed the stock market, followed by a transition, and subsequently returning at least 3 times the stock market for at least 15 years. The eleven companies included in the
Abstract Eugene Flegm has a long history in the field of accounting. He has seen a lot over the years and has come up with four paradoxes which accountants deal with. Of the four paradoxes, two of them have a direct correlation with leadership and management. The paradox of balancing “soft” skills and technical skills is the first paradox. The paradox of the education of accountants is the second paradox that deals with leadership and management. This essay will consist of defending Flegm's paradoxes while bringing in other sources to help the argument.
“Now We Can Begin” an essay by Crystal Eastman is a very powerful essay. Eastman makes the point know in her essay that an honest and true feminist no matter where she stands in the movement she will see to the woman’s fight with strength and courage and how it matters in the future and as well as its difference in its approach for the workers fight for industrial freedom. Eastman state “In fighting for the right to vote most women have tried to be either non-committal or thoroughly respectable on every other subject. Now they can say what they are really after; and what they are after, in common with all the rest of the struggling world, is freedom”
I believe it is important for any student who wants to do their best in a class to take a moment to evaluate their own work to determine the rate their writing is progressing and how they can continue to advance their writing. When I looked through my own work I asked myself “what have I learned this semester?” and “what do I still need to learn in order to improve my writing?”. Answering both these questions will help me with my last step of my self-evaluation, developing a plan to learn new skills.
