Comparing Bollywood Movies 3 Idiots and Dangal Bollywood movie is the Indian Hindi film that has a great significance in the film industry worldwide. It is very different from the Hollywood movie that we are familiar with since it always incorporates cultural elements such as traditional Indian music and dance, and also expresses national identity. 3 Idiots and Dangal are two recent Bollywood films that won multiple international awards. These two films not only comprise some traditional Bollywood conventions such as the use of traditional dances and music, but also demonstrate recent Bollywood trends such as gentrification and engaging social issues. 3 Idiots is a Bollywood comedy that was released in 2009. It is about three engineering students named Farhan, Raju and Rancho. In India, most students study engineering because it is the most well paid job. However, Rancho has a different view; he believes that people should pursue their own interest and study what they are passionate for. He goes against the norm, argues with the college director “Virus” about the strict education system, and convinces Farhan and Raju to be who they want to be instead of whom their family or society wants them to be. Dangal, on the other hand, is a Bollywood sports film that is based on a true story. It is about how Mahavir Phogat, a national wrestling champion, trains his two daughters Geeta and Babita to become India’s first world-class female wrestlers. Both films incorporate typical Bollywood elements such as music and dance into the film. As many people know, Bollywood films are known for their “vibrant rhythmic and melodic music [that are combined] with lavishly choreographed dance” (Ransom 34). This Bollywood characteristic is particularly obvious in 3 Idiots; it has countless dancing scenes, and most of them are very traditional, vibrant and festive. Besides dance, music is also an important part of this film. Each of its song is composed according to the scenario given and the emotion that the director wants his/her audience to feel. For example, “All Izz Well” is one of the catchier songs in the movie that sings about how life is sometimes out of our own control, but all will be well. This song is relatively fast

Noah begins to share about the summer romance that began one night in the 1940’s at a carnival. We see Allie and Noah fall madly in love only to be torn apart by her parents that do not believe he is worthy of their daughter because of his place in society. Noah cannot forget Allie so easily and writes to her everyday for a year. When he doesn’t hear back from her we see them both move on with their lives.
If you have not seen Dazed and Confused than you are really missing out. It is a great movie that relates from everything to High School to Sex, Drugs, and Rock n Roll. With an outstanding cast (from the past) it is a movie that everyone can relate to. Dazed and Confused reflects the lifestyle of kids that are entering high school for the first time, to seniors owning the school and being the "man" on compass. It portrays that freshman must watch their backs at all times and if you think you're as cool as the seniors, then you better watch out. There is a ritual that the seniors do to the freshman that have given so many people in reality a though of. With School being out for summer, in Dazed and Confused, it offers a great soundtrack from
This year’s Democratic National Committee server breach attempts to compromise Hillary Clinton’s chance of becoming the first women to receive the United States presidency. The focus here will be on the motives behind the D.N.C. breach, whose systems are at risk, long and short term consequences of this breach, and how this breach could have been avoided. There are two theories on the motives behind the network breach. After the breach, there is an extreme likelihood that any system within the 2016 presidency campaign is or will be violated. Short-term consequences includes Hillary Clinton losing the race for the U.S. presidency. Long-term consequences in the United States include a continuing pattern of distrust between the citizens and federal government. Creating and implementing procedures that avoid phishing e-mails, social engineering tactics, and spoofed web logins could have saved the DNC from the public’s outrage over the D.N.C.’s leaked e-mails.
Some similarities in the book are, Mason had to sell his horse and also tex’s horse because they needed the money for groceries. Mason said that if they didn't sell the horses then either the horses would starve or mason and tex would. Another similarity is that Tex had to go to the hospital. Tex had to go to the hospital because he got shot when he went to Lem’s friends house. Lem’s friend shot Tex in the hand because Tex was trying to leave. One more similarity was that Mason and Tex were on t.v. They were on t.v because they picked up a hitchhiker, and the hitchhiker had a gun and was trying to shoot mason. If Tex did not take the hitchhiker where he wanted to go then he was going to shoot Mason.
During the end of the 3rd Century, the Playwright Plautus wrote many of the first Roman comedies. A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is a musical comedy film adaptation of Plautus's comedies.Set in ancient Rome, many aspects of Roman theatre, including stock characters, were included in the film’s production. While the film is based off of multiple comedies, Plautus's Pseudolus character Calidorus is nearly identical to the film’s Hero. During the time Pseudolus was written, the Crisis of the Third Century led to up to 25% of Roman population being comprised of slaves(Southern). Of the many stock characters Platus included in his comedies, Calidorus/Hero, the son of Pseudolus’s owner and the stock character adulescens, best
Interpretation: The artist within this poem is addressing the fight that has been fighting for the centuries while also showcasing the leaders in said fight. All of which as mentioned above could represent an array of men who are of African decent. When one thinks about leftist movements you think of the fight against the majority, but it is clear from this video while they are fighting for equality they are leaving out other important races, ethnicities and sexes within the fight.
42nd Street in the 80s seemed like my kind of place. Seedy theatres, porn everywhere and enough flesh to satisfy any craving. It was here that a lot of Grindhouse films made they big debut and Doctor Butcher M.D. is one such film. Originally released under the title Zombi Holocaust, the film was picked up by XXX and recut, re-edited and released as Doctor Butcher M.D. The overall story is exactly the same as the original version, with a few slight differences. Severin Films was kind of enough to release both versions on a beautiful 2-disc Blu-ray package that is crammed full of special features detailing the history of 42nd Street and the two films. If you're a fan of gore, Italian nonsensical schlock and an ample amount of full frontal nudity, this Blu-ray is going to be your ticket to the peepshow. If you don't believe me, read on...

In every single book you read or in every movie you watch there is always another movie or another book you can compare it to. No matter what text from it is there is always something in the world you can compare things to. You can even compare people which most people do but now I am rambling on. I will be comparing six forms of text there will be two movies two poems and two books . Using these six forms of text I will be identifying the plot and the author's intent or why he made it the way he did. I believe that the author's intent deals with the plot of 4 of the text that I am using the other two didn't really have a plot to them.
In the second chapter of his book, Childhood Indians: Television, film and sustaining the White (sub)conscience, Raul Chavez describes the common notion of modern racism in America as something that is invisible and overlooked. Chavez discusses the effects of racist thinking as perpetuated by a collective denial of its existence in present society. The continuations of racism in modern America is, unfortunately, upheld by ignoring that it is still happening. The film The Exiles by Kent Mackenzie offers a way to counteract the denial and ignorance of continued racial thinking in modern society in a way that escapes common racial stereotypes.
I come from a very large Mexican family where there is a lot of meat, cheeses, fried food, butter and of course always a lot of sweets. Due to this diet there are many health related concerns in my family, three being diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, although high cholesterol seems to be more of a genetic issue rather than a food related one. Even so, the diet we maintain does not help lower it. Due to this diet and genetics, I have very high cholesterol myself; my doctor even shocked me by saying that I could have a heart attack by the time I’m 25. This obviously scared me and I knew then that there needed to be a change in my diet.
Traumatic experiences, difficult home lives, and the effect of drugs can leave a significant imprint on the rest of an individual’s life. On Sunday, when Atticus has to leave town, Cal takes Jem and Scout to church. They enter the church, sit down, and listen to the Reverend Skyes speak. He talks about how they will all pray for Tom Robinson and his family while he is at court. Scout asks where the hymn books are, and Cal hushes her. When they sing the hymns Zeebo, Cal’s oldest son, goes up to the front of the church. Since the church doesn’t have any hymn books Zeebo has to memorize them and sing a verse to the crowd, which they repeat back to him. Near the end of church the Reverend says that they do not have enough money to give to Tom Robinson’s family. So he closes the church doors and makes the crowd give up ten more dollars to help.
Working out conflicts face to face can and cannot make a difference in resolving the problem.“These face-to-face interactions build trust, understanding, and a real sense of a shared mission, and this has made all the difference in the world.” This direct quote from Forbes.com explains how this specific way can improve how the world communicates to each other. Many people will disagree with the previous statement, but it is just one of the basic elements of the social system. Admittedly, not everyone believes in face to face interaction. People can choose whichever side they want to, but people can solve their problems by talking to somebody.
