The Day of the Murder & Fight for the Truth It’s so hard to stay away from press when you are already grieving for a friend’s death that you didn’t realize till someone else told you. The Library is one kind of similar play where Caitlin Gabriel a student sitting in The Library, studying peacefully with some others students around her saw shooting with her own eyes and was a survived victim after having a gunshot in her own stomach. The Library is bought to us by the Columbus State theatre and is produced by Scott Z. Burns, directed by Frank A. Barnhart, and is inspired by the shooting at Columbine High School. The Library grabs the attention of the audience in the beginning of the play by making those sirens goes on which tell us that something horrifying happened. After those sirens goes off the whole play starts with the flash back scene. Caitlin, Nolan, Elizabeth’s talk were so intense, but it never looked that they are doing an acting, but it looked real with their expression. When it come to a mother talking to her daughter some emotional feelings were shown, but when she was talking to her husband about things she was upset her was shown as a stiff and stubborn wife would have. Every member of the cast did good job with their expressions. Director’s role in this play was to make sure that this play runs smoothly with all the props they are using and with all the costume change and he was really successful in doing that. Also, after coming out of the play, talking to other audience in the theatre I can say that he also succeeded in showing this scene and everyone was praising his usage of props and how that play impacted them in their life and how hard it would be for the real student at Columbine High School to see and overcome with this
