List past officer experience: (any organization)
For the year of 2016 I was our chapter’s reporter, I am Currently the 2020 class President, and for the year 2015-16 I was president of the Tri-L 4-H club. FFA Activities that you have participated in: I participated in the Chapter’s fruit sales at the beginning of the year selling just over $500 in fruit and other products. At the beginning of the year I helped set up for the chapter banquet and helped do opening ceremonies with the conduct team. This was when I was elected chapter reporter. In the spring I helped prepare our Ag CSI team for competition. I spent many extra hours writing our report and script. It was very difficult to get involvement from our middle school members but

Promoting FFA is something am always doing. I am always looking for kids that are interested in joining FFA and telling them about my experiences in it. For example, Last year I helped put together four middle school horse judging teams. I gave them the information they needed to study, explained why it would be beneficial, and told them how much fun they would have. In the coming year I want to promote FFA even more then I have before. I want to bring kids along when we work on the LLL and invite them to meetings. My experiences and knowledge about FFA prepare me to promote FFA to any prospective members.
How would you rank your cooperation, and communication within a small group? Rate from 1 - 5 (1 - Excellent 5 - Needs Improvement)
I would rank my cooperation in a small group a two. I am a person that is easy to get along with and enjoys working in groups. If conflicts arise in a group I am capable to set aside our differences and work together for the good of the chapter. This past officer term taught me that I can work with people even if there are conflicts within the

I believe that things can be accomplished in decisive and timely fashion if good leadership is present. When I think of what a leader is I think of someone that knows a route to success or knowledge and is willing to share that with others. I am always eager to share my own experiences with other and point them in the direction to create their own. I am a good leader because I know that hard work and knowledge can get you fair and I value those things and apply them to all I do. Stepping up for the good of an organization or group of people is what a good leader does, and it is what I intend to
Every part of FFA has a fundamental exercise. The association can show youthful individuals assorted variety, advertising, and essential relational abilities. Although there are numerous misguided judgments about FFA, it is essential to recognize the valuable components of the affiliation.
Invite a few former scholars to shoot a short advertised video about how we successfully help them to achieve their education goals. It is one of the most visualized way to show the public how well we have been doing for helping the youth. Also, letting the recipients talk about their own experiences will be more convincible.
The FFA is definetly one of the younger organizations in the U.S. But, throughout the last ten years, it has delivered a tremendous impact to students, teachers, and the nation along with it’s future.
This year, I am the head of the Regesh committee; I plan and run activities in honor of Rosh Chodesh, Yom Tov, and other special days. These school-wide activities are infused with a spirit of achdut. The atmosphere makes everyone feel included and it brings about a feeling of unity that leads to
I. Explain what FFA is to you and how all the things you do in FFA has improved you as a person.
After graduating from college, I took a gap-year before attending law school where I worked as a team lead for an AmeriCorps program at the Exchange Club Family Center in Memphis, TN. As a team lead, I oversaw a team of three in compiling data reports and creating specialized events for the impoverished families that were in the various programs at the Exchange Club. One of the programs that we collaborated on was a city-wide conference for middle and high school students. The program invited teenagers to attend the event and learn about a variety of topics including self-esteem and college admissions. I was over the logistics for the entire event. I set the schedule, assigned tasks for the event, reached out to speakers and sponsor for the

We also started an initiative called TGIF, where on the last Friday of each month, students would come to school dressed up according to a specific theme and there would be music and games throughout the day as well as music and dancing in the morning when people arrived at school. As a part of student council, I also had the pleasure of attending the Ontario Student Leadership Conference where I participated in many workshops and heard many speakers share their leadership experience and advice. During the conference I was constantly working with Greenwood students in other grades and students from various schools around Ontario. This helped me step out of my comfort zone and improve my communication skills which in turn made me become more adaptable, comfortable and outgoing when working in teams with people I do not know very well. By the end of my experience on student council, I grew into a more open minded, risk taking individual, which drove my ambition to run for the position of Head Girl at school. For this, I had to compete against ten other girls, make a speech in front of my entire school, all students from grade seven to twelve and all of the
The first step would be to send them a survey if they haven’t taken it already. This would give a direction for each campaign to go, as we work to get them to become a member of the organization. I would also include in this email a short introduction video or podcast of Clint where he shares a bit more about DSOA and the benefits of joining.
I initiated the creation of the Ecology Club and I was the president of this club. I have enjoyed watching the Ecology grow in members and volunteers. This team helps garden the school, bring environmental awareness to others. The club, additionally, has taken care of the landscaping of Waukesha North, started a school recycling program, and created a raised bed butterfly and vegetable garden. During the summer, the vegetables are donated to students who need food or the food pantry.
Knowing that we need to recruit, our school has started taking actions to bring more people from the community into our school. Many community members do not know that for students to attend our school, they just need to be within the KCPS boundaries. Families also have the assumption that you can only attend our school if you speak Spanish, but we benefit more from having English speakers in our school. Lately we are trying to get our name out to the KCPS community. Part of that is attending more events, connecting with churches, recruitment events, and just simply passing out flyers about our school to people we meet.
My junior year I had become vice-president of the club and also got the chance to Co-direct our fall play. This was to prepare myself for
Another way that our school is trying to promote our vision and mission is through the Literacy Family Night program that is starting on Dec 7, 2017. This
Grabbing people’s attention with certain programs can be a hard task to achieve, especially if they don’t know your language that well, or they are newcomers to your country. The way I would reach out to the newcomer youth in the Greater Toronto area would be creating a flier to post around schools and public places to promote the program, this way the more instances that people see the flier, the more interested in it they become. Another way of grabbing the attention of newcomers to pull them into coming to our program would be giving out packages explaining to the parents of the children what our program can benefit to their children who are being welcomed into a new country. This makes sure the child’s parents are aware of the programs that the YMCA has for them, plus give them a chance to look over and contemplate if they believe it is going to be a good opportunity for their children. Lastly, I would develop a presentation, and go into the schools most populated with newcomer kids to introduce them to the types of programs that they can get involved in. I would even ask for it to be held outside of normal school hours so their parents would be able to sit in on the presentation so they are able to get the same information. There is one major barrier the I need to consider while developing ways to promote the YMCA programs. That barrier is communication. While most of the people who live in Toronto speak either English or French, immigrants also in the Greater
