Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

Ferris Bueller is a high school kid that enjoys skipping school and always comes up with excuses on how to make it possible. Pretty much, this kid is living every high school kid’s dream. In this movie, he makes every wild planned event that he comes up with possible. The three friends (Ferris, Sloane and Cameron) all skip school and have an amazing time while their friends and classmates are stuck in school, exploring the great city of Chicago. As they carry on with their plan, they eventually run into some issues that were handled later by the end of the movie. Ferris being a very gutsy kid, pushed everything he did to the limit and beyond. Thus; Choices, Fear, Rules & Order, Foolishness & Folly. After studying all themes and trying to correlate them to how the movie and what it tried to portray, the main theme was brought down to FEAR; I mean even though we see all the tricks Ferris plays, no high school kid would ever try to pull such stunts because of the fear of getting caught. Cameron was pretty much the human form of anxiety (that is until he was silent and motionless). In all honesty and fairness, it was not his fault. From somethings said in the movie, we can tell what type of parents he had, remote and strict - specifically his dad, a man who loves his Ferrari like it was his son and Cameron gets no love from him. Ferris, on the other hand, is the direct opposite of Cameron. As fearless as Jack Ripper prowling the streets on a moonlit night. A good example is when he walks into the restaurant, Chez Dias, and takes Abe Forman’s table. His confidence works and he gets what he wants from it. The movie theme simple says if you have any ounce of self-worth, you must face your fears. Be able to stand up for yourself. Do not be afraid to express
