According to dictionary.com, feminism is the doctrine advocating social, political, and all other rights of women equal to those of men. Throughout history and even in present time, women have been subject to unequal treatment by their male counterparts. For example, in the biblical story of Adam and Eve, Eve is born from Adam’s rib, showing that Adam is the dominant figure in the narrative. Even today, there exists in certain professions a gender pay gap. Similarly, the way in which women are depicted in Beloved by Toni Morrison and the short story The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Stetson indicates that women are able to thrive independently and take on masculine roles, while men are able to experience feminine attributes.

What exactly is Feminism? Feminism is all about women's liberation; the liberation in a world where men are not only looked as superior, but also run the world and tell women what we can or cannot do. Feminists dream of a world where we can be treated equally as men. We do not care

I agree that women should have equal opportunities to men. I think equality is a positive thing for society. We should all be respected and treated equal regardless if you're male of female. According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary the standard definition defines feminism as “the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes.” I believe the word feminism means a woman who is capable of doing the exact things a man can do. Both men and women are equal regardless the gender. There are many misconceptions when it comes to the word feminism such as, women having hatred towards men, women thinking they're above men, or only women can be feminist, and the gender stereotype. On the other hand, feminism is gender equality, acknowledging that any kind of violence is unacceptable regardless the gender, and realizing that women and men are not the same and recognizing that gender and sex are

Feminism is a means through which we can finally achieve gender equality. The goal of feminism is for women to finally have the same rights and opportunities that men are given. When we trace the history of feminism in regard to Nationalism, we see some basic phases of it known as First Wave, Second Wave and Third Wave of Feminism. The First Wave of Feminism was the initial spark of awareness in the women and people all over the global about the condition of female class in society. Even though the words ‘Feminism’ and ‘Feminist’ existed since a long time, they gained wide spread usage in 1970s. The First Wave of Feminism was about bringing into notice issues of women which lasted from nineteenth century to early twentieth century. The Second Wave of Feminism was about working in a direction to remove the issues of First wave and getting rights for women and it began in 1960s. The Third wave of Feminism was a continuation of the Second Wave from 1990s as a reaction to failure of the previous efforts.

(Webster) The people who do agree with feminism claim that it has helped them with their experiences of oppression because they are female, while others argue that it is against men and promotes hostility. While many argue over what feminism really means, the reputation feminism receives from people will always stir up differences and arguments that people have due to the concept.

For the record, feminism by definition is: ‘the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities.’ It is the theory of the political, economic and social equality of the sexes. (Watson 1)

The reason this statement is so vague is, according to many researchers, because feminism is an incredibly complex concept with many different interpretations. Susan Hekman (2013), for example, interprets feminism to be a radical movement that challenges the very fundament of modernism, which is a repeated theme in her studies.

This tiny, new addition to my family has definitely given me a lot of water to drink. I surely love and do not regret letting her in our lives. I am speaking of a kitten that made her way into my life in the most unexpected way. Taking care of her needs, opening myself to her demands, and joggling my time, have proven me that anything can become a challenge.

Feminism is the belief that women should have economic political and social equality with men. This term also refers to a political movement that works to gain equality within a male and female relationship. In a male and female relationship both the roles of the male and female should be equal. Equal in many ways ten one: they should trust each other, share responsibilities, listen to one another, respect each other, and of course love one another equally.
