When Faye started to volunteer at the shelter she decided to make a facebook page so people can adopt the dogs. Another example is that Faye always grooms the puppies and photographs them before she puts them on the facebook page. Therefore, Faye also posts the new dogs available each week for adoption on her facebook page. Every Time Faye volunteers at the shelter, the shelter receives 20 new dogs each week but some dogs still need re-homing. A quote from a worker also from the shelter says “ This takes a lot of heat off the pound for us trying to get these dogs into homes.” A quote from Mr. Oliver says “he appreciates Faye in every good way and wouldn’t let her dream be unpredictable.”

Aiden Lykken is the founder of the organization of Woofin & Hoffin 5K and Doggie Dash in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. This organization are for the pets who don’t have a shelter or have been abused. Aiden has seen many situations like this happen with his own eyes. Now thousands of people are helping out by participating to help run the Woofin & Hoffin 5K and Doggie Dash to help support those animals that are abused. This young boy has made a huge difference beginning with his community and coming out big with other communities. Now a huge increase had began to grow, meaning people are taking in consideration of helping those animals who don’t have a shelter. One of the biggest dog busts of the century was in 2007. The man in charge’s name was Michael Vick, a quarterback football player in the NFL. Under the name “Bad Newz Kennels”, dogs were beaten, murdered, and gambled on. The dogs found alive were some of the most damaged possible. Missing parts of their jaws, lost eyesight, or non existent limbs, one would wonder why they kept going, striving for acceptance from their owner. These dogs, to the public seemed dangerous, after all they had killed their entire lives. However, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary was willing to take up the task of these gorgeous animals, ultimately saving their lives. The sanctuary took in 22 dogs, 10 of them, now adopted and living in homes of their own.Through rehabilitation the dogs were taught how to trust, interact and most importantly what love truly is with different trainers daily. Even the dogs who can not be adopted out are by any means not dangerous. Meryl, had been one of the dogs found who was deemed dangerous by the state, meaning she could not be adopted out to a home. Nonetheless, when walking into her kennel, dangerous is the last word you would use to describe her. One of her trainers remarks, "She really doesn't mind new people…. She's very happy and loving. She got inspired when she worked for one week at animal control. The first thing to help animals was finding a puppy and advertised him on TradeMe. When she saw poor animals in cages while she was working at animal control for a week she knew she had to make a difference and she did. Every week she volunteers at her local animal branch. Faye has found homes for more than 20 kittens and 60 dogs even though seems small made a huge difference in her town. She posts pictures of dogs that are up for adoption on her facebook page “Animal Re-Home Waikato.” She says, “ We picked up a puppy in the pound the first day I went to animal control and then my last day he was still there and I felt really sorry for him.” This caused her to want to make a difference. She receives around 20 new dogs every week. Most of the dogs need a new home. “I’d love to have a career in animal control. I quite enjoy dealing with people and making a difference” she says. She takes hours of her night organizing time for people to see the animals that she posts while most people sit and do nothing. When Faye is at animal control the animals get a new loving home.
