Who is to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s death? In Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare, there are two families that have been fighting for a long time, but one day, a girl from the Capulet family and a boy from the Montague family, fell in love. They got married and were happy until feuds with in the family separated them. Juliet was devastated as well as unhappy with her father, which led to death for both Romeo and Juliet latter in the story. Father Capulet is the character most to blame for the tragic events in Romeo and Juliet because he is the father of Juliet and he raised Juliet, how he reacts to things, she learned to react to them in a similar way, Capulet is always fighting against the Montagues and showing Juliet that it is okay to fight against others and not listen to what they have to say, and Capulet forces Juliet to do things that makes her want to rebel. …show more content…

She learned from the actions of her father. In Act I, Scene I, Capulet walks in on a fight and instead of trying to stop it, he tries to join it, “What noise is this? Give me my long sword, ho!..... My sword, I say! Old Montague is come, And flourishes his blade in spite of me.” In Romeo and Juliet, people are always killing. If Capulet would have stopped the feud, Juliet might have learned that killing is a bad thing. Also, Romeo and Juliet would be able to be with each other if he had stopped the feud. Because the are always killing Juliet doesn’t realize how effective it is, so she pretends to kill herself and then actually kills herself
