Define Distribution The way something is spread out over a area 3: Why is it important to study natural fluctuations in populations? To make sure that there is still animals in a species or else if there isn’t they will affect a chain of animals. 4.What species of wombat is critically endangered? The Northern Hairy-nosed wombat 5 Factors that might cause fluctuations in the amount of vegetation in a area and how this impacts the animals that eat the vegetation. Water and oxygen and fire impacted the animals this impacts the animals by the amount of food they eat and need 7 a) The amount of mice would decrease drastically with it having two predators. The brown snake would have less food and there would be less of them but not by much b) There
Since organisms living in communities form interdependent relationships, a change in the abundance of one species will not only affect the physical and more direct interactions, but could indirectly affect the number of other species within the community as a consequence (Wootton 1993). These indirect affects rise because the interactions between pairs of species are not independent of other species, such as increasing the density of vegetation may increase the survival rate of the prey, reducing the intensity of the interaction between the predator and prey (Wootton 1993, 1994). An
The article discussed the changes in many habitats due to anthropogenic activity. Anthropogenic is an adjective that describes changes in nature due to the people. Next, this article discussed climate change and the impact that it is having on species like clams, and fish due to ocean temperatures rising. The article also addressed carbon dating of fossils to look for cause of extinctions. Human development and agriculture have had a tremendous impact on the population of many species that are terrestrial. Deforestation is a big problem that has caused a decline in the bird species. Commercial fishing in many areas has led to a decline in fish populations. Furthermore this article
With the climate change it allowed most animals and plants to survive. Now people didn’t have to go seek for food it came to them.
to any species because it continues the growth and increases biodiversity. If any animal species were to
2. Discuss how the Stoic philosophy of Marcus Aurelius affected his view of the Empire. The Stoic philosophy of Marcus Aurelius did affect his views of the empire in a positive way. By such statement, we can safely say that his point of views made him a loyal ruler who put his commitment to the Roman Empire above all else Moreover, he tolerated all gods and sees the universe like it was intertwined.
However, there does exist some benefits through reducing the excessive increase of one native creature from a lack of native predators in their natural environment helping out other animals with a diminished population to multiply out of the point of
Climate change has affected us in many ways, but it was even more influential on organisms and their community. The Earth is gradually heating and we are left to deal with the consequences. Homes are being destroyed, organisms are dying, and resources are running low. Since 1880, Our Earth’s temperature had increased by about 0.8 degrees Celsius. Climate change is affecting the Earth and scientists say that one more degree will greatly affect people from all over the world. There are many consequences of climate change and each one has a great impact on all of us, but organisms’ homes are being destroyed and thousands of species are dying out. These organisms are imperative to our world and how it functions.
Conservationists have been particularly interested in the restoration of carnivore populations because they have a big impact on the rest of that ecosystem. One example of how carnivore population can cause issues is the decrease of the wolf population in Yellowstone Park. They killed the wolf population thinking it would help, but little did they know they were actually destroying the rest of the ecosystem. Certain ecosystem are like a car; if you remove one piece, then the entire car won’t function correctly. A decrease in carnivore populations means an increase in herbivore populations and then those organisms will use up all the possible resources in that area. That can cause many problems. It shows that the carnivores keep everything together
In the ecosystem organisms rely on each other for food and protection. The Food chain is like a pyramid you have the producers, primary consumers, secondary consumers, tertiary consumers, and quaternary consumers. It’s an almost perfect balance and if any level were to just stop existing then the food chain would be destroyed. An example of organisms relying on others is an issue of isle royale were the wolves and moose population are in jeopardy. This relationship is important because without the other animal the population would die.
a way to honor the lives that are taken away from animals. As Pollan says, “Farming is not adapted to large-scale operations because

"We call them dumb animals, and so they are, for they cannot tell us how they feel, but they do not suffer less because they have no words” (Anna Sewell). There is undeniable evidence that animals are being affected by climate change. Even though the effects are difficult to measure, there are many different ways animals are being affected. With the loss of predator and prey species it affects the life cycles in the food chain. The earth’s climate change causes habitats such as snow, ice, or forest areas to alter, resulting in loss of habitat and food accessibility as well as causing extinction.
At its current rate, the relationship between sport and media is quickly adapting to the new emerging technologies and the way in which teams, sports leagues, and media companies deliver their content is changing with it. While radio and TV were staples of the way people consumed sporting events for decades, technology is changing and improving every year, making the viewing of sport much more dynamic and versatile. Moreover, as a result of social media, teams and leagues are building closer relationships with their fan-bases and delivering content in new ways. Finally, leagues are creating large-scale broadcasting deals with media companies in order to increase their revenue and expand their financial capabilities, which, in turn, limits the
Many kids ask the question “Why do I have to wear a helmet when I am riding my ATV (All Terrain Vehicle), UTV(utility terrain vehicle), or ORV( Off-Road Vehicle)?” Kids always tell their parents “Well I am already a pretty good rider and I do not need a helmet because I am that good.” No one is the best rider in the world and accidents can happen at anytime. The affect of the accident can be tragical and fatal. Do not be one who does not care, instead you should use caution. Many reasons why kids under the age of 18 need to wear a helmet include: the many statistics that are scary that involve kids under age not wearing a helmet, also to protect you and your body, there are certain laws that the state of Indiana requires for kids under age. All of these laws will help protect your brain and head. Kids do not understand the affects of them not wearing a helmet and why it proves a big deal.
What is known is that humans used fire for a variety of purposes, such as agriculture and hunting. Humans learned that if a forest was cleared of undergrowth, it was easier to hunt for animals in the forest. In the Australia of 50,000 years ago, there were large animals – termed the megafauna – that the indigenous people hunted for food. Soon after humans arrived on the continent, however, the megafauna disappeared. There are several possible reasons for the extinction. One particularly dramatic one is that humans’ extreme use of fire, perhaps uncontrolled, caused the climate to become more arid, and making it impossible for some megafauna to survive. Possibly, the plants that were their sustenance were destroyed. Some animals – such as a large, emu-like bird – were hunted to extinction. (NPR) The climate of most of Australia is still arid.
