Companies Should not allow Dogs at Work
I am an extreme animal lover in general, but I believe that bringing your furry friend to work would be an unfavorable idea.
Although, there are some dog-owning employees who may benefit from bringing their pet to work; there are some that would not. Not everyone is able to be around animals. Allergies take a enormous toll on many people. I know that being around any animal that sheds fur can make allergies flare. Which in toll, will make employees miserable at the workplace.
In addition, some dogs are displeased around new enviroments or people for that matter. There would be no way to tell whether or not your dog will be calm around new humans; as well as, other dogs. Personally, I know that
Employees bringing their pet dog to work is a very controversial topic. An abundance of people support this idea, because they feel they would be more productive, happier, more relaxed, and less stressed. However, many people feel like bringing dogs into the workplaces only causes problem such as, allergies, behavioral episodes, and any fearful mindsets the employees may have. I feel like dogs, while they bring many great qualities to anywhere they go, should not be allowed into a work area unless need-be.
Although it would be nice for dog owners to bring their pet to work with them sounds like a good idea some employees might be alergic to the dogs. In addition to being alergic some employees could have had past experiences with a dog, like being bitten or chased by one and may be anxious around dogs. Furthurmore, dogs are usually very unsanitary and could spread bacteria or diseases throughout the workplace just by licking.
I'm very surprised on this idea about bringing pets to work. Office is a place where we are supposed to be focus on work we are allow to accomplish so bringing pets in my opinion is one kind of distractions.
Bringing your dog to work is wonderful. It makes you feel so relax and who doesn't like to feel relaxed. Researchers have found that when pet owners bring their dog to work, they feel less stressed out and feel less anxiety. Feeling more relaxed at work provides a better work enviorment. And having a better work enviorment increases the amount of work being done. Also, having your dog at work makes you more productive than not having your pet at work. When you have your dog at work you feel more at
I am quite the animal lover and I believe this idea should be well thought over. Not everyone would agree with this idea to have your dog in the work place do to alergies or they could even be afraid of your dog. To help
First of all some people are not comfortable around them.Wether that has to do with past relations of a dog or simply have a phobie of being around a dog.Sheding for a dog can be messy. In a working inviroment that would cause sanitation problems. Also dogs could easily in a work inviroment can chew on things that are not meant to be chewed on causing health risk for the dog and the staff.
1 i agree with the stance of the dog owners being conforted by having a pet present in times of disasters such as storms or even family loss, but the fleas and ticks would be a problem as well as, the unpleasant odors.
Deciding whether or not I should agree with dogs being allowed in our work place was very tricky for me. I appreciate your desire to make sure every employee feels comfortable and stress-free at work. Also, I adore dogs and would love to able to have my furry-friend alongside me all day long. However, after looking at the pro's and con's, I'd have to say I do not agree with this idea.
No! Dogs Should Not Work Dogs are meant to be pets. They live short lives compared to humans. They should be allowed to enjoy all of their days. Dogs are meant to be companions, not workers. Service dogs are put under too much stress. Their jobs are not fun. Some service dogs are servants. They do things like opening dresser drawers and pulling their owners' wheelchairs. Servant dogs, such as guide dogs for people who are blind, are not put in danger. But police dogs are not as lucky. They face life-and-death situations. While people can choose to put their lives on the line, dogs don't have that choice. In 2001, a police dog was shot and killed by police officers. The dog had caught a person the police were chasing. The police officers didn't
As both a dog lover and a working citizen, it is my opinion that dogs should not be allowed in a place of work. Although it may cause some employees more happiness at work, I believe that it would be more of a distraction than anything else. Although I cherish my pets deeply I have many reasons for my position that dogs should not attend our workplace.
The first reason I think it is a bad idea is that some people do not like dogs. Your co-workers may be allergic to them. Also you may have a co-worker that is scared of dogs. Companies are liable if the dog was to be alloud at the work place. One example would be if one of the dogs bite your co-worker, or another dog then the company could be sued by the person who was bitten or the other dogs owner.
Employees who bring their dogs to work are free of the guilt and worry over leaving their dogs at home. They also offer a sense of comfort not normally found at work (Stone 1). This improves employee morale which, in turn, leads to employee loyalty. Len Kane, co-editor and co-founder of Dogfriendly.com, states that “studies have shown people are more likely to remain with an employer that allows them to bring their dog to work” (Stone 1). A survey conducted by SimplyHired.com and Dogster.com concluded that 32 percent of employees surveyed would work for less money if allowed to bring their dogs (Stone 1). Such benefits
I'm in full support of bringing your dog to work. I think it will bring joy and happiness to the workplace.
Another reason "Bring Dogs to Work" would be a good idea is because some people suffer under a lot of stress and can possibly suffer from mental illnesses such as anxiety and chronic depression, so having a friendly companion with them at all times might help and be able to calm their nerves when they need
Almost every dog in my life gets excited very easily, and it is hard to get them to calm down. This will create a problem for the employees trying to do their job. Having pets at work is simply a distraction for the owners of the animals, and everyone else around them as well. Your dog may be well behaved at home, but bringing it into an environment it doesn't recognize, around people it doesn't recognize, is careless. You can not predict how your dog will react.
