Living in Gainesville, Florida is a gift because the days are mainly sunny and beautiful. People can float down any of the springs from Blue, to Ginny to Ichetucknee, and enjoy a picnic lunch when they’re done.
Even if you cannot tell the difference between the cultures of Hawaii and Florida, the weather easily sets the two apart. As far as tropical locations go, many people expect the weather to be warm and sunny, looking for a perfect day to go to the beach and relax next to the ocean. In Florida, though the heat and humidity is almost unbearable. It makes you want to immediately jump into the ocean to try a cool off under the hot sun. Unfortunately, with the sun beating down on the ocean and the humidity in the air trapping all of the heat, the ocean also heats up very quickly and it becomes more like a hot tub, which is not the most relaxing of choice in the middle of a warm, summer day. With all of the humidity in Florida, it is also very common for a sudden downpour to erupt and leave you soaking wet like you have been in the ocean all day. Despite these flaws in the perfect, tropical weather you expect, when you do get a nice day in Florida, it makes you wish the day would never end and that you would never have to leave.
Winds blow slower in Florida compared to the equator. This is because Florida winds only blow 930 mph, and it is because of the Coriolis effect (slower speed = slower wind).
South Florida has a very wet and tropical climate. There is a defined rainy season from May through October. This is the time of the year when thundershowers that build in the heat of the day, and then drop substantial but short-lived precipitation across the state of Florida. Unlike anywhere else, Florida has the strangest weather and diverse culture. The first main difference between Florida and anywhere else is its strange weather. As a Florida resident, you must always have an umbrella, jacket, and sunscreen accessible. Often times in Florida there can be a rain storm for as long as a whole day, or as short as five minutes. Our climate ranges from a pleasant seventy degrees in the morning to an uncomfortable ninety in the midday.
Florida has a muggier climate with a lot more rain, while Alabama has a very dry climate. Going from Florida to Alabama, one can expect a bloody nose every once in a while. Either way, both states have lots of rain to deal with. Even though Alabama is just right above Florida, it still gets snow on occasion. The last time it snowed in Florida was January nineteenth in nineteen seventy seven. Though both states can get extremely hot, Florida takes the gold star for being the hottest throughout the year. In Florida there seems to be a bit of a breeze coming from the water, where as in Alabama it is just a very dry, humid
Moving to Georgia was a big change when it came to the weather. I hated it at first, but fell in love after I got used to how cold it gets. Unlike Florida, Georgia has all four seasons and it is amazing to see the change throughout the year. The summers in Cleveland are cool and sunny. Then fall comes and you watch all the green leaves change to orange, red, and brown. Not long after fall, people are scraping ice off their cars, and bundled up in layers of clothing trying to stay warm. Spring comes, and of course everyone gets sick from the thick layers of pollen everywhere! The seasons can be a little tough to get used to but
The four Disneyworld hopper passes/tickets were purchased as a charity auction item (as stated in the official letter sent with the tickets) and were sold as redeemable legitimate passes. Since the passes were sold at auction; I resold the 4 passes through eBay like several other passes that have been or are being sold at this current time under similar circumstances. Therefore, the outcomes and actions of the Disneyworld personnel were out of my control. The passes DID match the description of the item.
The Fall Of The Titans, also known as the Titanomachy was a huge turning point for Greek Mythology. This war had many other names such as The War Of The Titans, Titanomachy, and even Titan war. This is because the Titans were a powerful race that ruled before the Olympians. Although, this all changed after the war broke out. Many new Gods and Giants were born during the war. In fact, many of them would not be here without the war.
I remember the first time I went to Disney World; excited and eager like a child on the first day of school. I already had my suitcase packed two weeks before we even left, and that two weeks felt more like two years. The night before we left, I couldn’t sleep. It was like I had nonstop adrenaline rushing through my body. All I could think about were the rides, princesses, and that beautiful beach I’ve seen thousands of pictures of. Finally, after hours and hours of stirring around, I fell asleep.
Living in Florida there are many things to be worried about from alligators, hot heat, and the most important hurricanes. The first hurricane I experienced was in the first two months of me living in Florida. I moved here from New York and I had no idea what to expect when I heard that a hurricane was coming. It was like nothing I had experienced before, seeing a tree pulled from the ground by only water and wind was a devastating experience that I was something I did not expect to see. After the hurricane, my dad went to the store and bought as much; canned food, water bottles, candles, flashlights and batteries he could find to make sure that just in case another hurricane hit we would be prepared. After the hurricane, I started to wonder about better ways on how to prepare for another hurricane. Especially, living in Florida there are
