Three years ago, I started my new journey of higher education in the U.S. with little clue about the American university environment. From an international student who found everything novel and unfamiliar to a Titan who aims for higher success, I am very proud of myself today. In addition to gaining knowledge and confidence, I contribute significantly to the academic community at California State University Fullerton (CSUF).
“Which campus organizations that I should get involved in?”. Until now, I have participated in two campus organizations at CSUF: The Sales Leadership Center (SLC) and Business & Data Analytics Club (BDAC). Besides that, I volunteer to help other campus organizations such as the Graduate Office and the American Language Program in orientation days. I gain different experience and acquire a variety of achievements through these campus involvements.
When I joined SLC, my motivation, at first, is to develop a strong sets of interpersonal skills such as presentation skill, communication skill and so on. It turns out to be a great environment where I learn different aspects of the business world and extend my ability to do different things. This is an academic internship in which I work on real dataset and dive into transactional data to get meaningful insights. The experience and knowledge that I gain from this internship is priceless as I not only apply what I learn in my coursework but also practice technical skills and learn domain knowledge about credit union and financial institution. On the other hands, I represent CSUF’s students who are eager for knowledge and willing to learn new things.
