Since the beginning of time, women were oppressed, mistreated, and not equal to men. They had great reasons to fight for the rights that they deserve, like the right to vote. But in today’s world, the women who call themselves feminist believe that they are still at the same level of being oppressed as their ancestors were. As a result, women focus what they think they don’t have in society and forget about the problems most men face every day. Feminism, although a very good practice, is abused in today’s world by giving too much attention to women and not enough to men when talking about equality.
As of now, 2016, men and women have equal rights, are treated the same in a legal matter, and both have similar ways of being oppressed. It would make sense that there would be a group run by both men and women to push for true equality, not one run by only women saying that their goal is equality, but in the end, only recognize oppressed women. The prejudice movement run by women with false, biased, and uneducated values affected how the young people in this world think about men. Teenage girls don’t go beyond the false accusation they would find on the internet about how women are the only oppressed gender and as a result, join the feminist movement and continue to bash men. …show more content…

This is a very obvious and true statement that can be proved when looked at the history of women. In the 20th century, and educated women with a high annual pay was greatly disrespected and often physically assaulted. Most women at this level of education often quit their job to stop their unwanted segregation. But being a “normal”, uneducated women were no different. All though men didn’t see the average woman as a direct threat, they still treated them as their underpart.
