Diagnostic Essay
I always changed my answer when I was asked “what is your favorite color?” and when I answered “Blue” then if I was asked why? I couldn’t give a real answer. Why is “blue” so important to me? Isn’t there is thousands and thousands of color all around me? Why especially blue? Well maybe because I like looking at the sky because it gives me comfort and relaxation to my brain, or maybe because it has been my favorite color since I was a little boy. What if it is because I like the light blue that I see in front of me on the beach that it is hiding a lot beneath it? There was no true explanation to my passion and love to the color blue. So what if the color blue

The green I see when I go hiking with my friends. The same color of the trees and the grass all around. The green that mother earth gave us the unpolluted green and inhabited by humans. The green that when I see, it is full with life and passion the one that send me to another dimension and forget about anything else The one that keeps reminding me and everyone that we are not alone here on earth, and that there is much bigger and greater than us.
As well as green and blue I love the color black. Why black? It is a sad color! To me when I look to the color black I look to the black you see at night. The black that comes in the absence of the sun, it magically transforms everything to a wonderland, amazing and beautiful. The black with small dots that I used to see when I go to the park at night, and when I lay on the grass and look up and night, it seems like I’m drowning in the beauty of the sky full with adventures.
Other than these my favorite color is also yellow. The yellow I see when I go camping in the Sahara desert. The dirty yellow, that is for miles and miles up in the horizon. The yellow of the sun, the same one that keep changing, telling me that there is tomorrow, a new day with a new beginning and
The purpose of this paper is to provide a synopsis of the importance of assessment and diagnosis in the counseling process. In the first two sections, the roles of assessment and diagnosis as they relate to case conceptualization and treatment planning will be explored. The potential implications of misdiagnosis will be the focus of the final section.
other colors since it is doubtless the most intense color. Jonas’, “new perception of the color he
Death tells the reader, “As I’ve been alluding to, my one saving grace is distraction. It keeps me sane. It helps me cope…” (Zusak 4). Death also takes an interest to colors as a distraction and notes a few (red, white, and black) in its introduction. These colors referred back to the hue of the sky when Death crossed paths with Liesel. Throughout the entire novel Death tells of all the souls it’s carried away, and paired each up with a shade of color. Colors seem to be a recurring theme in the
As we all know, color is the voice for the artist 's sentiment. It makes up the appearance of a picture. Color is the decisive factor in depths of the two-dimensional plane of the artwork, making the viewer feel physically and mentally attracted, or the context of things - the phenomenon the author wants to present. Colors have been around for a long time, but there is not a common definition for colors. And perhaps humans are one of the luckiest creatures that can identify colors. Often, the recipient 's eye knows a myriad of colors and colors that always change based on the relationship between light and perspective. In art, color creates a sense of

Colors are apart of our everyday lives. They help us on dreaming, creating and increasing youthfulness. The author used colors to illustrate an importance behind objects, emotions, and characters. The various colors symbolize location, character traits and appearances.
Most people do not see color as simply the way something looks, however. They tend to associate certain colors with specific feelings, emotions and memories. (Dmitrieva) For instance, blue is most commonly associated with “feeling blue” meaning one feels upset or depressed, however, blue is
I see myself as a creative person and one of the ways to express my creativity in the past has been through my writing. Most of my experience with writing has been enjoyable, which led to all my writing assignments for school to be tolerable. I not only see higher level writing as a chance to pass a class and get a good grade, but I also see how it leads me to better express my interests and points of view on whatever I choose to write about.
Yellow was chosen because it is such a prominent theme throughout the book. Yellow is typically thought of as a joyful color because it is so bright. However, I think it is fascinating that Marquez gives such a different meaning to the yellow that everyone thought they knew. Yellow in One Hundred Years of Solitude can be described as change, destruction, and death. Yellow is also used in many symbols. For example, yellow is used as the color of the small flowers that shower Macondo when their founder passes away (death.) Yellow is used as the color of butterflies that follow Mauricio when it is found out that he could have possibly caused destruction to the entire Buendia family. Finally, yellow is also used as the color of the train, which brings a substantial amount of change to Macondo. The second color I chose to use was green. Green is used in this novel to primarily represent sickness. In my presentation I provided two examples of times when green represented sickness to both Rebecca’s love sickness and Jose Arcadio Buendia’s mental illness. Next, I chose to discuss how the color black was demonstrated in the novel. In One Hundred Years of Solitude, black represents the biggest theme of the book, which is solitude. Black also represents mystery, death, and fear. Both of the examples I chose to incorporate into my presentation have to do with solitude. The first example deals with Rebecca and how she has been living outside of Macondo and become old and senile. The second example is about Fernanda’s father. Fernanda’s father is said to be wearing black, which describes his actions and personality perfectly. He spends the majority of his time cooped up and away in his office, spending little to no time with his family. Fernanda’s father can be described as depressing and lonely. Finally, the last color I chose to use in my presentation is white. When people hear white, they often think of

3. The colour orange appears many times in the novel "Life of Pi", as do the colours red and yellow, which together create orange. The colour red as an archetype symbolizes great passion, blood and sacrifice. The colour yellow symbolizes hope and happiness. Orange is a combination of these two archetypes. On page 153 in "Life of Pi", Pi remarks, "It seems orange---such a nice Hindu colour---is the colour of survival." Survival could be viewed as passion, sacrifice and hope all combined together.
Color fills our world with beauty. We delight in the colors of a magnificent sunset and in the bright red and golden-yellow leaves of autumn. We are charmed by gorgeous flowering plants and the brilliantly colored arch of a rainbow. We also use color in various ways to add pleasure and interest to our lives. For example, many people choose the colors of their clothes carefully and decorate their homes with colors that create beautiful, restful, or exciting effects. By their selection and arrangement of colors, artists try to make their paintings more realistic or expressive.
There are many different emotions associated with every color, by different people. Why do people associate these certain emotions with different colors? Associations with color are caused by objects, language, senses, and personality characteristics.(Hallock) A language connection could be connected by expressions in one’s language that are associated with color. Colored objects could be associated with people based on what other objects could be colored. For example, blood is red. Since blood is red, people could associate red with “death” or even “pain.” Roses are red also, so someone else who likes flowers could associate red with a nice smell or even beautiful. That’s where personality
Strictly speaking, blue is nothing but light that is reflected off the surface of an object and into receivers. These receivers then send electrical impulses to the brain that then interprets the impulses as blue. In that case, what more is color other than the interpretation of electrical signals? Without the stimuli and the receiver, there would be no color. In that case, color is only defined by the measurement of something else. A scientific approach to seeing color reveals a puzzling explanation.
